    Apple chicken

I found this place while searching around on the Beyond Menu app for other Delco Chinese delivery options. I'm not too thrilled with the local choices. This one came up as an option. I'm so happy it did. I officially love the Apple Chicken. It's a unique flavor, and one that you don't see often. It's a sign that they're trying to be better than the norm. The staples that we love are all higher quality. From dumplings to egg rolls to wonton soup, I loved them all. The wife thought her chicken and broccoli was better than most in the area. This place is worthy.

Pan fried dumplings. I'd give it a 4 out of 10.

I had the Mongolian beef combination platter, an order of pan fried dumplings and barbecued beef strips on a stick. Overall I give the entire meal a 4 out of 10. Rice is expected to be moist and a bit sticky but was in fact dry. The Mongolian beef was very salty. I placed my water around 10 PM so I guess some of it might have been sitting around a bit. Maybe if I ordered earlier things would taste fresher. The dumplings were so so. The service was nice.

I've lived in this area for over thirty years and this is the first time I have tried Little Basil. At last, I have found take out Chinese that is worth bragging about. Tonight I ordered General Tso and Shrimp pad Thai (bonus that they also offer Thai!). They were both excellent. I would choose here over Lucky Wok (no flavor) any day. The prices are comparable and the seasonings and flavors are right on. I am a harsh critic for Asian cuisine. This is definitely my new favorite place. Thanks for a delicious dinner!!

As you can see the only restriction on the are the lunch and dinner boxes. NOT SODA!

Spring rolls were hollow and greasy. Thai basil beef: meat was something weird and processed. Strange texture. General Tso was passable.

The restaurant was busy due to the holiday, but the staff managed everything well and kept the buffet running smoothly. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, especially for seafood lovers. We really enjoyed the crab legs, which were refilled frequently and tasted fresh. The shrimp dishes--including fried shrimp and garlic shrimp--were flavorful and well cooked. There was also a good selection of fish, mussels, clams, and seafood stir-fry, which made the seafood section the highlight of the meal. In addition to seafood, Ichiban had plenty of Asian and American-style dishes. The hibachi grill was popular, allowing you to choose fresh ingredients like chicken, beef, shrimp, and vegetables cooked right in front of you. Sushi lovers will appreciate the sushi and sashimi selection, which included rolls, nigiri, and fresh fish options. The Chinese classics such as General Tso's chicken, lo mein, fried rice, and dumplings were tasty and comforting. Dessert options included cakes, cookies, fruit, and ice cream, which were perfect for ending the meal. Overall, the food quality, variety, and festive atmosphere made our New Year's Day visit enjoyable. Ichiban Seafood Buffet is a solid choice if you're looking for variety, generous portions, and a satisfying buffet experience. We would definitely visit again, especially for special occasions.

I brought my daughter here because she really likes the fact that Buffetts allow her to have so many different items to choose from. The crab tasted horrible. They tasted very fishy and almost spoiled. There were literally CLUMPS of HAIR in the food. I've never felt more UNSAFE in a restaurant. The waiters were so mean to us. And it took 10 minutes at a time to track one of the down. One was complaining about her job, one threw our utensils down on the table with a grunt and walked away, and the other (when asked why a 34 dollar tip was already included) picked up a menu and underlined the "automatic 15% tip" and snarked at our table. The same one made a rude comment to us about not finishing all of our disgusting food. There were cameras everywhere and my friends counted 20 of them. The entire experience was very off putting. We are all very upset as we were excited to finally have a seafood boil (which we had been talking about for months). EDIT: THE BATHROOM DOOR DOESNT LOCK!! My friend got walked in on. Our server was sprinting table to table and complaining about her job. They never asked us for drink refills. And the waiter rudely told us we should've ordered off the menu for cheaper food. What was supposed to be lo mein noodles looked and tasted like plain enriched flour spaghetti, which made it even more disappointing. I could not believe I paid $13 for stale chicken and spaghetti. I would give this place negative 1 star if I could. I know mall food is not supposed to be fine dining, but this was unacceptable. Serving food like this to paying customers is ridiculous. But what makes this place stands out outside of it being convenient while shopping and having delicious food. I found myself in a position where I again stopped pass to grab my go to " Teriyaki shrimp with lo mein noodles and broccoli with a shrimp roll" and I was told that it would be a few mins before it's done. So I went with my daughters to go get their pizza directly across at "SBARRO" which is also a great spot to grab pizza and other Italian like dishes. Being greedy since I've been fasting for Ramadan I ordered 2 veggie pizzas slices that were amazing while I wait for my platter. After wrapping up from eating the slices my daughters had to use the restroom and the one nearest was "out of order" so naturally I picked up and left to search for another restroom. The one I found just so happened to be near the exist which kinda made me ready to go and forget, not realizing that I had left my " Teriyaki shrimp platter" ‍ Speed up to today where I'm back at the mall looking for a few things for myself and I said let me make sure I stop back pass and get my go to platter. I mentioned to the ladies that I had left my platter last night and wondered if they was able to give it away or just threw it away because I left it by accident. They were super kind and super quick with a response letting me know that this platter is fully credited so I don't need to pay anything. Acts of kindness like this goes along way especially when you have good food lol . I'll def be stopping by here every time at the mall and if you're in the area then you should too. Great food and amazing customer service!!!

This isn't because of a lack of good Chinese places to eat, but because after living in Philly for many years before that, I have come to expect a certain something when I am looking for a quick and easy pick up from a corner store Chinese food joint that simple doesn't seem to exist down here. Well, apparently, that wait has finally ended for me, and I couldn't be more pleased. I'm not entirely sure how this place was overlooked by myself and my family for six years, but Hong Kong checks all the right boxes, and now that I know it's there, tucked away in a faded and overgrown strip mall on Chester Pike, it will be in heavy rotation. The secret to corner store Chinese food isn't a heavy variety, volume of food, or even that the staff is friendly. All that helps, but the real value and charm from places like these comes from the core selection of dishes that they do, they execute perfectly; full of flavor, served piping hot, at a great price, time after time, at a wide range of hours during the day. Deciding to go with lunch specials, which were very reasonable, each comes with a soup and a pretty hefty portion of your choice of dish, served with either pork fried rice or pork loin mein. My wife went with her staple test meal of General Tzo's chicken and Wonton Soup. She said both impressed, and while I enjoy those, they're not my go-to. However, they were delicious. I instead chose the Szechuan Chicken with lo mein and also the egg drop soup. This is where I knew I had finally found the place that we had been searching for, for so long. The egg drop soup is perfect....and I mean perfect. It is delicious, with great consistency, and at the same time, is no frills, and you can see that it is clearly made by hand. Nothing from a bag here! The only reason Hong Kong has lost a star is because what I received was definitely what I would have called Hunan chicken. Finished in a spicy brown sauce, rather than a traditional red pepper Szechuan sauce, it was still absolutely delicious and hot, perfectly cooked with a great ratio of chicken to vegetables! If you are in the area, especially if you live nearby, do not skip on Hong Kong Chinese. It may not look like much. You may not be greeted on the phone that well, and I'm pretty sure you have to pay in cash. But sometimes that's exactly what you're looking for and what you want when all you really need is perfectly prepared quick Chinese for a great price that will make your stomach happy and make you smile with satisfaction.
