I'm in Duluth visiting for the week. This is my third visit and wanted to try this place for the first time. From the outside, the place looks fun with plenty of outside tables. Inside seemed a little dated but not a big issue. The food was very disappointing. I ordered the enchiladas combo. An easy Mexican plate. Just by looking at it, it didn't feel appealing. It tasted like boxed/canned Mexican food. My server noted my discontent and tried to resolve which demonstrated great customer service but after that meal, I doubted something else could be better. Absolutely unacceptable. We had to ask for water, cutlery, and plates after being seated. The plates we were finally given still had leftover food on them. The rice served with the enchiladas was undercooked, making the meal inedible. Between the poor hygiene, terrible service, and unsafe food quality, this was an awful experience. The food was OVER PRICED and didn't taste like much! Taco Bell has more flavor. The service was ok, kinda rushed for the place being dead! The restaurant/building is old but, the table was sticky and dust on everything! I would suggest a good cleaning. Our silverware that received when we were seated were DIRTY all THREE sets!!! It made me think if we wanted to eat here... the nachos were bland, we had to ask for salsa it was to have queso, but didn't have more than a couple drips! Aug 29th,2026 4 of us ate there. 3 of us had enchiladas and one had a hatch chili burger. In years past we've enjoyed the food there. Less than average now. Dried out beans ( for sure days old) rice mush ( old) enchiladas, if I had to guess, from a box or frozen. Prices are expensive and quality is embarrassing. My husband, sister, brother in law will never go back. We drove almost 200 miles and this is what we got. Little Angies you need to reevaluate your food. Service was good. Margarita was good. The service was slow, the food was pretty bland, the beans were mushy and inedible, and we were surprised we had to pay for chips and salsa and they weren't complimentary like most other Mexican places. So unfortunately this place was not good. We came after Grandma's because it was close and had open spots. That probably should have been our red flag... They only offered a breakfast menu before 10am, and that menu had very little selection. Once the food came out, it was like food you'd get at a hotel continental breakfast except it cost as much as a high quality meal! I only got potatoes and sausage (and coffee) and it cost me $25. The coffee also wasn't very good, and they didn't have half and half for it (just the little plastic cups which to me doesn't count). The staff were so so kind and excellent but oof. First time to Deluth, have a conf at the Inn on Lake Superior. Got here a bit early so strolled across the street and found this place. Having the pineapple jalapeño marg right now, may eat depending on what sounds good for a light bite. Bartenders are super friendly, refreshing to say the least! Went down out a Saturday with my family. We were able to get in right away with 5 which I was surprised. For starters this is probably the only Mexican restaurant that makes you buy chips and salsa. And they are probably the worst in the area as Tostitos are better. Next Mexican food is usually pretty fast - nope it took forever to get our food. My rice was like warm. I would say the food was OK but no where near the $160 price. Other than location I will steer clear as we have so many other better options for Mexican. read more

Group of college students who had a wonderful time at Little Angie's! Po, our server and also the bar manager, was serving and bartending while being short staffed! He gave us great deals: free chips and salsa for college students as well as half off all margaritas after 9pm! He was super friendly and spent time talking to us even though he was running around the whole night. First off- Ordered chicken nachos- food runner came to table with "carnitas" nachos and we corrected him that they should be chicken- he questioned what we ordered instead of apologizing or correcting and getting our order. "Are you SURE?!?" Like we messed up? Naw. Feel like a Karen complaining but fawk. Bad server error. Brought correct order out and said nothing- awkward! It was rushed and COLD. Canned beans, iceberg lettuce.... $18.40 went to host stand to get cholula to dr it up... questioning my life choices. We had our drinks dropped off by a (bartender?) guy different from food runner. As the night went by we needed another round of drinks before the meal- no offers of refills regardless of multiple walk byes..... And we had to take napkins and silverware from another table to feed ourselves. Man I hate to complain, But on a Thursday and with plenty of staff this was underwhelming- at best. Food was Sysco ah' la king - no seasoning, minimal prep. Cold tortillas and that good ole' canned taste o' beans. Not even rinsed. Small portions that cost around $20 per plate. Oh! I had to grab share plates for apps from the poor hostsess' again. Many empty tables and good staffing quality. What's going on? What a night. I seldom complain, but wow. Look at my rap! I am embarrassed of this place. Wasted potential. Gross food, poor staff and HIGH prices. Not my preferred combo! An eclectic combo of kitchen negligence and front of house failure. Lack of care. Oh how I wanted to love this place..... Sat down with some hungry kids and zero chips and salsa. Asked 3 different people for them and 20 minutes in, drinks ordered and good ordered and still no chips and salsa. When taking our order the poor server didn't know any answers.... Can I sub zucchini "not sure" Can I order just grilled chicken and rice "not sure" Can we have chips and salsa..... hard no because we never got them Far too many amazing places to suffer here. I will not try again nor would I recommend it. I will say the server was super nice, maybe more training would help..... but it's a Mexican place you should def start with chips and salsa. Honestly, this place has horrible food. When our waitress walked out with our fajitas we both laughed bc there were 6 slices of steak and the veggies were still raw. The tortillas were cold and the guac was brown, the beans and rice were definitely from a box or can and the lettuce tastes a little chemically. HOWEVER, if you get the right bartender, the margaritas are fantastic. (Which is what I'd usually go there for anyways) AND the waitresses are super attentive and friendly. After lots of walking and enjoying the views around Lake Superior I needed a cold beer and some food. The patio was in operation at Little Angie's so sauntered over. The waitress was very pleasant and provided excellent service. I ordered a beer and the shrimp tacos. The place was hopping but the food was delivered to my table by a masked man in a timely manner. They even kept refilling my dog's water bowl and gave him a treat. I enjoyed my meal, the service was great and the beer was cold. If I am in Duluth again I would eat at Little Angie's Cantina for sure. read more

Such a shame to be in canal park. This place is gross. Bagged chips and canned salsa. They don't even seem to try.

My Mom and I stopped in late (10:30 or so) for a sip and a bite. Wow! The margarita selection is amazing. Mom has a classic on and I had the huckleberry and cucumber one (fabulously different, totally recommend). But, the best part of the whole experience was our server Brook! Quite possibly the worst dining experience I have had in my entire life. Ordered an enchilada and asked for cheese instead of chicken they legitimately served me a rolled up tortilla with nothing on the inside and shredded cheese on top.
