I absolutely love this hidden gem of a restaurant. There are two locations, and while one was tough to find, I'm so glad I discovered the second. After reading reviews about the owner's background and the story behind the restaurant, I was touched by how heartwarming it is.
The menu may be simple, but don't let that fool you--the food is exceptional. We ordered their most popular dishes, starting with the sardines, which were incredible. Though slightly salty, they were perfectly charred. The octopus salad was light and refreshing with a citrusy kick. The alheira, a Portuguese sausage served with potatoes, cornbread, and egg. The sausage was perfectly fried, though I wasn't too keen on the cornbread. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.
The restaurant might be a little tricky to find, but it's definitely worth the effort. read more
