Saw this place when driving down the road coming back from Top O Hill and was looking for a place to eat before heading to Wrestlemania. It looks a little off from the outside like what kind of food would I get from here but man was I pleasantly surprised. My gf and I split a 5 piece chicken and 2 sides with rolls for a great price. Especially being from NY and looking at the menu the prices were insanely low. When we got our food and bit down into it, we instantly fell in love with this place. We wish that we loved closer as this would be the go to spot. We even made one last trip here for a 10 piece chicken before leaving and put the chicken in my suitcase to eat back when we got back home to NY and it still holds up being tasty and juicy. This place is amazing for the price! Cheaper than Pop Eyes and KFC! For the price, this place is worth going to. Delicious souther friend food. My favorites are the fried chicken strips, fries, and corn nuggets. I love the corn nuggets here. Their recipe is quite different from other fried chicken restaurants. The chicken is really crispy and nicely seasoned where you can barely tell. Their meal packages are totally worth it. This location is also close to UTA. I remember in college I would stop by Lisa's Fried Chicken a lot as a pit stop since it was on the way home. The service has always been great every time I go here. Lisa's chicken, I tried another last week with my mom and we got the catfish. Some of the best catfish in the city and unbelievably under $6. The name of the place is Lisa's chicken so I decided to try the chicken and wow was it delicious. Exactly how fried chicken is supposed to taste. Fully seasoned all the way to the bone and crunchy skin but not to battered. I like that fact you don't have to buy a pepper with your chicken because if you got good fried chicken you need a pepper. My brother was with me and he asked had I tried the shrimp so we tried it and I couldn't believe the size of the shrimp it was yummy. So I'm wondering now why I never stopped at Lisa's I have been passing this location for years and never stopped even though the parking lot was always full. I called in an order and went to pick it up. I had several orders and the employee/owner put it all in a box for me. I did not review the order when I left. I live about 7 minutes away from this location. I was almost at my home and at my final stop sign when I realized that someone was honking at me. I took a minute and actually looked in the mirror and the person in the car behind me. I realized it was the owner/employee from LISA's! He jumped out of his car with a little box with my two piece catfish they forgot to pack for me. He apologized and said here is the rest of your order and ran back to his car. I have now tried the new Lisa's Chicken on Bedford Euless Road in Hurst twice and it hasn't improved. The chicken had been sitting there cooked so long it was dried out and tough. Also, just didn't have a good fried chicken taste. I was really disappointed as it is so close to my house. Stay away from this place they just cook too much chicken and let it sit there. read more

I visited Lisa's Chicken for the first time about a month ago. It's a small hole-in-the-wall type of place sitting on the corner of an intersection. They have a big menu outside of the building listing all of your different options. They also have a menu inside with more details and a few different pricing options. I ordered a three piece chicken meal with corn poppers. The chicken itself was ok. BUT THOSE CORN POPPERS THO?!?! Listen, those are the truth. I'm pretty sure Jesus would even enjoy them. Stay away from this one!!!! Rude, Rude, Rude! So for years we have been eating here at least once a week. People are always nice, except this last time. We had people over, getting ready for my wife's yard sale, so we all decided on Lisa's Chicken. I pulled in to order, asked about the family meals which I didn't see on their new menu board. The person taking my order snapped and ran off something that wasn't quite audible. I asked another question about sides, and then you could really tell she was very annoyed with me. When I got to the window, again with the attitude. I asked who took my order and she said again in a snotty tone, very emphatically, "ME"! I said okkkk, so now trying to lighten things up a bit, I asked in a joking tone, were you mad I was ordering food. She then, in a more snotty tone, repeated what I owed her, and looked up to the ceiling. I then simply said,and I probably shouldn't have, you don't have to be like that. She then slammed the window on me and dumped my family's chicken out. Ok so now I'm pissed off. I left my truck at the window, and as someone was walking out of their kitchen door, I grabbed it, opened it, and said I wanted the manager. She yelled at me that she is the manager, and to get out of that door. I then go to the lobby door and walk in, now she is yelling at me to get out, and you don't have a mask on, blablabla. I asked for a number to the owner and his name and she wouldn't give it to me. I asked the kid at the register the owners name and number, he said he didn't know, I asked for the managers name, again, he has no idea who he works for. I called her snotty, and left. One woman apologised for the way I was treated, and a guy sitting in his car said, that every time they get a little busy, they treat everybody like that. I'm In corporate sales, and I can assure you, she wouldn't work for me very long, treating my customers like that. We will NOT eat at that location again!!!!! Ever!!! I had the catfish and it was okay. Looks like they take one filet and slice it in half to create 2 pieces. If you order from there you will see what I mean. They would have been a 4 but because the fish was so thin the fish tasted salty because they are mostly just crust with no meat. This is a corner chicken shack type of establishment. Please do not expect "bells & whistles". However, it is tasty, and a definite good value compared to other fried chicken franchise restaurants. Recommend tenders or the hot wings that are usually dropped fresh to order. Fish looks like swai, so I'd avoid if you're thinking it is anything else. If you love friend chicken, you'll love this place. They have awesome prices. If you want a review of the liver and gizzards- I think they are well priced, great serving size, and hot when you order. Honestly the taste was a mixture of Popeyes and Chicken Express; I only gave it 3 stars because the fries had no salt but they had some salt and pepper shakers so I couldn't complain as much. I've heard such good comments about Lisa's from friends that I was looking forward to trying it. I went through the drive-in on a Saturday afternoon, and I was disappointed with the chicken. It was overcooked with a brown crust that was so super-hard in places that I was afraid I would break a tooth. I'm serious. The white meat chicken was on the dry side, too. I was craving some fried fish today, Normally I get the chicken tenders from this place which are amazing. But I decided to give the fried fish a try and I was not disappointed. I got the 2 fish dinner with two sides and a drink all for under 6 dollars. But I also added hush puppies which were 6 for 1.29 and a sea food gumbo soup for 3.99. Do not judge me lol I eat a lot! Over all the taste and the quantity they serve you is great. The place itself is not fancy at all but those are the best kind of places to find good food at. Went to Lisa's chicken on Broadway Haltom City..... Went there a little before 8 pm.... Ordered a 24 mixed.... I asked for it to be fresh... They told me to wait 30 min so I did... They got a rush okay I'm still waitin finally its almost 9pm... I go in to find out about my order... Their excuse was we ran out of chicken... Really.. I told them how can you run out of chicken when I ordered it before the rush.... They looked at me like I'm crazy.... Finally got my order...I asked for everything fresh... Well nothing was fresh ... Everything was reheated.... This is the reason why we go to riverside store because you get what you pay for..... And they treat you with respect.... Broadway.., they are rude they always have attitude.. I really hate going there.... I asked for tarter sauce, she neglectide me, After a few minutes some one else dumped a few packets of pre-made tarter sauce in my to go bag. The food was well prepared; the service sucked. The food is very delicious, but the restaurant is very small and decor of looks run down. While wait time can vary; what has been consistent is the attitude of the employee. Very often the person running the register till is rude, slow to announce an order is ready, and is very slow preparing drinks for the customer. One other incident is that I walked here one night, and I was refused service for not using their drive thru. I explained that I did not have a car to the employees inside and was told to leave. I am not impressed with the chicken fried steak. It is ok for the money. Also, the Gravy is watery and thin. My mom lived near Lisa's which is how I first learned of the place. Very good food for the money, but the people make the difference. When mom was sick, and didn't want a full meal, she would order one chicken finger and a biscuit. The folks at Lisa's would only charge her one dollar. When I'd pick up mom's meal, I'd try to get them to take a little more. "Come on" they'd say, "it's just one piece of chicken". They wouldn't take any more than a dollar. So now I go back because of the kindness they showed my mom, and because the mashed potatoes and corn nuggets and catfish and chicken are awesome. It started out with me and my sister who was in town visiting looking for the Ultimate Chicken snack. We were really hungry for some Chinese...(I was anyway). She wanted Chicken Strips, I wanted Chinese. Lisa's Chicken...Looks like a hole in the wall (my type of gig). We drive up to the Menu board and find a variety of snakalicious snackness amongst the choices...Immediately my sister orders the Corn Nuggets...As I was scanning the Snacklist on the menu... I stumbled upon a choice that was almost unbelievable to my eyes...EGGROLLS? At a chicken stand? I was in disbelief. I ordered 2. I just had to try an eggroll from a Chicken hut to see if they could pull it off. Well...to my amazement the Eggrolls were not only HAND MADE and rolled, but ABSolutely Delicious and lipsmackingly the best I had ever tasted. The Corn Nuggets were creamy and crunchy at the same time...Absolute divinity. The best part is coming up...The Chicken Strips are to Die for. They just melted in my mouth with their absolute deliciousness and cream gravy goodness. Mmmm... On a side note... I visited the chicken stand this past week to find that they didn't have the hand rolled Eggrolls any longer. But the eggroll was still bigger than the usual frozen fair at the Chinese restaurants. Prices are awesome now with the food its a hit or miss it depends on who's cooking it that day (if they have different cooks) sometimes the chicken is on point especially when its freshly cooked but you can tell when it has been sitting up because the skin will be soggy now to fix that problem go home and put it in the oven on 375 for about 10 to 15 min and your skin will become crunchy & hot again (which you should not have to do that)...I also recommend doing that when re-heating left overs & with the fish sometime it can be salty and way to crunchy and over cooked especially when you get smaller thin pieces but sometimes its perfectly cooked I do believe they cook the fish and hot wings made to order so those items you will get fresh and hot but Doesn't mean the taste is there all the time like I said depends on who's cooking that day ....with the fries please try to get them cook fresh otherwise they will be soggy and all that grease comes through.. With the other sides they are straight up bland they beg for seasoning they also Dont tell you the total until you get to the window and you also can't add on anything at the window anymore which is crazy because they will be the one loosing those extra coins lol...now for the parking is horrible very very small that when the drive-thru is wrapped around the corner it goes into the parking lot which makes it hard when someone's coming out from the parking lot they will blow there horn because you will be blocking them from the drive through..but the other location on Pioneer is the best one its better parking and drive through and the food is prepared much better...I know this was a long review but I Dont have time to sugar coat nothing lol read more

Had heard of this restaurant from a friend. Wanted to try for myself. Oh goodness, excellent service and the food was GREAT! Not much to look at from outside, but the work shows in their food and service. Had the Fried Catfish and Fried Okra, and speaking from someone from the south - it was worth every cent.
