Celebrated my girl's birthday. 2nd time here. Always a good time! I had chicken n waffles and bottomless mimosas. The queens are fabulous and we were here happened to be Pride WEEKEND! Show love for this establishment and bring plenty of dollars!

We had a reservation for a party of 8 on a Saturday for a birthday. We were greeted and waters brought to the table right away. We did had the option for mimosas and/or bloody Mary's as part of the meal package. I enjoyed the fact thar for our large table they brought over pitchers. It was great to not have to keep waiting for a drink. We learned that you could pay $12 for a birthday package and we are happy we learned that. They gave our friend a birthday shout-out not only at our table, but on stage to! The foodnwas delicious and the show was great. If you have large bills, they will gladly break it for you. I would like to go backnfor dinner!

Fantastic show! Went for a friend's birthday brunch and it was so fun including the little bday celebrations they do. Emcee did a great job interacting with people and moving everything along. Beautiful place and decor. Our server was so nice and checked on us throughout our stay. Can't go wrong with bottomless mimosas. Food was fine, nothing special. It did take a long time for us to get our bill at the end, we were the only table left, not sure what the issue was but things happen.

Such a fun brunch experience at Lips! Great service, amazing atmosphere and wonderful entertainment! The queens are amazing! All you can drink mimosas were a fun touch. Loved the light up ring shots. Food was good, nothing amazing but decent. Accessible space but would be difficult to get to the restroom I think as it's upstairs and I didn't see an elevator. Street parking.

I had an AMAZING time at Lips today! We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday after she'd been asking for months to come here and now I understand why. The queens are so nice and amazing. They're great servers and even better performers. Super attentive and they give you enough time to get through your meal before the show starts. I got the cheeseburger and fries which I thought was really good. My party enjoyed their food for the most part. There is a 20% gratuity added to every bill, but it can be removed upon request. Also, they can split one bill with up to 4 cards. The venue is gorgeous inside and really sets the scene for an amazing show. It's very glamorous, and I loved it. I highly, highly recommend coming here for a good time! My favorite was the Wings by Little Mix performance It's a bit steep around $70 per person in my group (we did get shots, though, hehe) which doesn't include the singles for the performances but for brunch, bottomless mimosas, and a show? I say VERY worth it. They invite anyone there for a special occasion up on stage to celebrate with them and give them crowns and cupcakes. They will also invite additional people in the crowd up and at the end invites everyone up! They engage the crowd beautifully -- even the people at the bar! Overall, I highly recommend Lips if you're looking for a good time and good food. I'll definitely be back.

They double as the service staff and still amanage to look fabulous, so tip generously and have fun! The food was also delicious, my chicken and biscuits was actually very good.

We went for drag brunch on Saturday. WHAT A SHOW! I loved it. We were entertained the entire time. The staff, entertainers were a pleasure to be around. The menu was very tempting and I ended ordering the biscuits with gravy. They had chicken I want to say it was buffalo chicken but I might be wrong. The package came with bottomless mimosas. I was pleasantly surprised having this place in the south loop. I would recommend.

Super fun spot for drag branch. Our lovely drag star/waitress Sapphire was beautiful, charismatic, kind, and a delight. Everyone was friendly, helpful and timely. The show was funny vibrant and everything you would expect from a great drag brunch. Food was standard brunch cuisine. The drinks were great and the shots were delicious. If I had any critique, it would be we felt a little left out sitting in the back. We had a lot of tips, but only a few queens came by so we left with a lot of of the money we came with unfortunately. Other than that, we had a great time enjoyed the show tremendously and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great time on a Sunday afternoon.

Lips was a 10/10 experience! The show & the dinner were excellent & well worth the money. We arrived about 40 minutes prior to the start of the show & that was perfect imo. Everyone working had great energy & was super friendly. The salmon was cooked to perfection, I wish I could go back today & get some more! Same goes for the rice and asparagus. The caesar salad was so refreshing. I was told the wings & Alfredo also tasted amazing. It was nice to eat & watch the show at the same time & I think you're able to time it out the way you prefer! The show.. HONEY.. it was great! Giving a bunch of positive vibes and great energy. You can tell a lot of hard work goes into preparation for their shows. The host was absolutely hilarious! I love they show love to those celebrating a birthday or engagement! This is a mandatory add to your itinerary if you're trying to have a fun time in Chicago! Thanks Lips!

The service was great, despite the servers also being performers they were attentive and knew how to put on a great show! It was a fun atmosphere and everyone seemed to be having a great time! Food was pretty meh, all of it was pretty salty and the dessert was some mini cupcakes that were extra dry. On the other hand the drinks are incredibly strong so you know you're not going to be getting water downed drinks. Don't forget to bring cash to tip the performers!

Fun brunch activity overall but some performers were significantly better than others, and a few just dialed it in... yet expected tips by their walk-around. Personal opinion, you have to be more than wigs, costumes and a ton of makeup to be a drag ... sing or perform well and be entertaining. Or I can just look at historical Halloween selfies. Our server was nice and one of the better performers, but there was one outstanding one that did flips, and I want to know how she kept her wig on! Anywho the decor is very nice, recommend planning ahead with a Park Hero spot in a garage for the cold snowy season

The food was bad for the price but the entertainment was great. There's other Drag Queen shows in Chicago that's less pricey as this place.

Ask the Community - Lips - Chicago

How far in advance can you make a reservation for a bachelorette party?

I reserved a month in advance

Can I choose where I sit?

Hi, no.😔

Do we need reservations for brunch?

Yes! Plan in advance- tickets book up quickly! But so worth it

Is there parking available?

They have valet parking, not sure about other options.

What day and time is best to make a reservation ? So far I've been. Calling for two days in a row and haven't had any luck.

Leave a voicemail and they will call you back

Is there a dress code?

Dressy casual

Is there an age limit? I know it's for adults but can an 18 year old come with parents?

Absolutely! We welcome all 16 and over! And while shows do contain adult language and themes, I bet most 16 year olds know more about this than us older folks!

I enjoyed the sports bar vibe with nicer food. My favorite dish was the Wagyu burger, but the wings were a close second. They were fried perfectly and the honey habanero was drizzled over them, creating a lovely depth of flavor - especially with their homemade ranch. The Caesar salad was good, but tasted a little like it had the cheap Parmesan on it from the can. The short ribs were also tasty, but a bit on the chewier side than I would have liked. They do have a few mocktail options for $8 each (very affordable). I really enjoyed my cucumber mocktail! Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Pilsen!

Since I was looking for something more casual, this place came up as a suggestion online. It's a small bar and I didn't notice a sign out front that had the restaurant name, that's something maybe they should consider. But overall, it appeared to be newly renovated, and had all of the Chicago sports teams decor throughout which I liked. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was a Black owned bar, which was another plus for me. On Mondays, they have $10 wings, and it's a pretty good deal because they give you really nice sized wings. My only critique is that the wings themselves weren't seasoned so the sauce had to do a lot of of the heavy lifting for flavor. But the chicken was cooked perfectly! Lastly the other small issue I had was that it was freezing cold in the bar. I'm not sure if it's due to insulation or because of the type of windows they had installed, but it was absolutely freezing and that almost took away from the experience, nonetheless, this is certainly a place that I would try again during the warmer months.

My group was made to feel like an inconvenience - we felt rushed even though we didn't take long to order, or linger after paying, and we were polite while ordering plenty of dishes and drinks. A number of people in our party also work in the service industry, so we try to be mindful of all of these factors. We didn't receive one of the ordered sides, and this was obviously not the server's fault, but a number of items we attempted to order were unavailable (oysters, saturn cocktail, milk & cookies dessert) and it wasn't really acknowledged. Again, this was a birthday reservation and we were brought the check without being asked if we would like to order dessert. Then, when we did order dessert, there was no candle. I understand some restaurants don't provide candles...but a table next to us was given a candle. A disappointing experience - I had been looking forward to trying Oliver's since they opened.

We got there around 8am on 06/18/26 and the place was kind of empty. We stood for awhile waiting to be seated. Finally a lady said she would take us to a table but that they were all dirty. We wanted a window seat so we accepted it. It seemed fine after she cleaned it. It was just a strange way to bring us into the restaurant before the tables were cleaned. We could have stood by the door and waited some more. But the service and food were very good! Our server was Jose, who was excellent while checking on us several times to make sure everything was good. The vanilla latte that he recommended was delicious! I ordered the 3 Egg Ham 'n Cheese Omelet with mushrooms and my daughter had the Eggs Benedict. Both were cooked perfectly and seasoned correctly. Yummy! The lighting, the decor, everything. Waiting for our table, we sat at the bar and had the extreme pleasure of interacting with Al, our bartender. He was very welcoming and had plenty to say about the establishment as well as a little of the area's history. Moving to our table, we were tended to by Chuck, who also did great credit to this place. He was patient and helpful in guiding us through the menu. Everything sounded good, but we went with a couple of items he recommended. We started with oysters and a salad, each of which were delicious, cold, and satisfying. The cocktail sauce for the oysters was delicious, and we actually preferred that to the vinegar mix, which never happens. For our mains, we went with the crab cake and steak frites. These were spectacular dishes. The crab cake, we had been told, was made with the best meat of the crab, including the claws, and it was evident. The steak was juicy, tender, and perfectly cooked. We also had the mushroom casserole as a side. Think of an elevated green bean casserole, but with mushrooms. This was suggested by Chuck, and damn, if he wasn't right. Finally, we had to try their famous sticky date cake for dessert. This was also an excellent suggestion, and I highly recommend trying this if you have the belly space after the filling meals. It eneded up being more food than we could finish. Portion sizes were big, especially for the quality and price. We shared 1 savory and 2 sweet dishes: the banana business croissant, the warm cinnamon roll, and the fritatta Espinosa. Each one completely impressed us and we're so delicious. We told the server we couldn't belive they were both baking high end pastries like this and preparing amazing savory dishes. Overall, our service was quick and friendly.
