Excellent service from Jordan. I've been here several times now and she's always been my person and she's awesome. She makes great recommendations and is very attentive and kind. It's such a fun and lively sports bar! So many screens and viewing options, including an upstairs lounge and an outdoor patio. The food is fantastic! Elevated pub food and high quality ingredients. It's my favorite chicken Caesar wrap in the city so far. The croutons stay crunchy and the chicken is perfect. The fries are soooooooo good! Really well seasoned and crispy. The Cajun skirt steak with chimichurri sauce is amazing! So tender and flavorful. The fish & chips are very tasty too, and the hot spinach and artichoke dip is a fun starter. They also give you complimentary bread/pretzel bites and butter when you arrive. So good! The smash burger is delicious as well, and the mini beignets with a chocolate dipping sauce for dessert are fabulous!!!! They do everything well here! They have happy hour deals, including a late night happy hour on weekends from 10pm until 1am. They also have weekend brunch. Great drinks too! I have enjoyed cocktails and mocktails here. So far my favorite cocktails are the espresso martini and The Blue Line, a fun rum and Curacao drink. It's so smooth going down! My favorite mocktail is Off The Record, which is bubbly and made with lychee and lavender. Located on the lower level of the Dearborn Station in Printer's Row, I highly recommend coming here. We decided to give this place a try, and overall, I came away impressed. I ordered the rigatoni, and it was excellent. The light lemony sauce gave the dish a fresh, bright flavor that really stood out without being overpowering. I also had a martini, and it was made perfectly. A special shout-out to Jessie, our server. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the evening. I remember when this location was Bar Louie, and it's clear they've invested in updating the space. The renovations look great, and the restaurant feels much more polished. There's also a nice outdoor bistro area, although it was simply too humid for us to enjoy it that evening. The one thing that left a bad impression was when we arrived with reservations. We were initially directed to what felt like an isolated room that honestly reminded us of someone's kitchen, while there were other tables available in the main dining area. As people of color, it didn't sit well with us. Thankfully, my colleague spoke up and requested a table in the main dining room, and we were accommodated. I'm not saying there was any intent behind it, but first impressions matter, and I hope management is mindful that seating decisions can affect how guests feel. As a Yelp Elite reviewer, I believe in being honest--both about what a restaurant does well and where it can improve. That said, the food, drinks, and service were outstanding, and those positives made for a very enjoyable dining experience overall. This would of gotten a 4 star but the way they tried to stick us in a room didnt work out well in their favor. read more

A great addition to the neighborhood!!! My pulled pork sandwich and fries were amazing and I loved that they have a gluten free bun! My only feedback would be to include the gf bun on their menu, we almost didn't come because I didn't know they had one! Overall really great place to sit at the bar and catch a game with some good food and drinks! read more

My husband and I came here with our 3 year old and we absolutely loved it! The pretzel bites with the garlic herb butter were delicious. We split the smash burger and chicken Caesar wrap. Pressbox isn't fully open yet, but I came for the soft opening this evening and I was really impressed. The rehab of the space is great, it looks clean (much needed fix from the latter days of Bar Louie,) stylish, sound level is not too loud. Overall it's giving upscale neighborhood watering hole, in the best way. I'm not a sports fan but if you are, I could really see this being your place. Importantly, they really seem to be hospitality professionals. Drinks were good, (made me a VERY nice gin and tonic,) the food they were testing out was good, the vibe was fun, friendly, neighborly. I came one more time to see how it improved a few weeks later and it was worse. The manager was shockingly combative and seemed to have a poor hold of operations. One of the servers was extremely unprofessional. They overbooked themselves and instead of apologizing and cancelling reservations accordingly, they expected customers to be pliant with what was such an embarrassing experience. On a positive note, another one of our servers really ran the show, and she worked absolutely tirelessly to make it somewhat tolerable. The food was honestly unacceptable. Fried calamari had over 50% filler, flatbread was partially raw, and they cheapened their dip considerably from the last time we tried it. I had very high hopes but I will never return here. read more

When we saw Pressbox was opening and peeked through the window, the space looked light, fresh, and inviting. We were excited to finally have a sports bar with real ambiance. We headed over to watch FIFA, and the place did not disappoint. The design is sharp, and there are big TVs almost everywhere you look. The game audio was on, which we loved. Neighbor Supporting Local Business: Press Box On Wednesday afternoon my wife and I popped into the Press Box for a refreshing beverage on a hot day. It was our first time going in and we were taken back by how great the interior was decorated and the architectural embellishments are intact. The atmosphere was mature, inviting, and sophisticated but not pretentious. As a mid-forties professional that is super chill, it felt like a third space for me. While the environment is one thing the staff and culture they are building is another. We had the pleasure of meeting Adrienne as our bartender. Adrienne was the most engaging bartender I have had in any establishment in a long time. I had a few simple draft beers, and my wife enjoyed the hand crafted cocktail (Lychee Lavendsr Martini). Adrienne recommended it as her favorite to make and enjoy; my wife now agrees. At any rate we're local Printer's Row gente and while we have many great establishments to support be sure to stop by the Press Box if you haven't already. We'll be back for sure. Went for Saturday brunch. A short but delicious menu. I had the pancakes which were good, but bacon was the yummiest. Lychee mimosa was very good too, but a little weird that a brunch place doesn't serve coffee. That said, they're fine with you bringing a coffee from across the street. I've been waiting for PressBox to open ever since I first heard a new spot was coming to South Loop, and it definitely did not disappoint. I had the chance to check it out during the soft opening, which was a great experience. They offered a complimentary buffet so the neighborhood could sample items from the menu. I'm a huge Caesar salad person, and the dressing alone sold me. What stood out just as much as the food was the staff. From the servers to the bartenders, everyone was incredibly professional, welcoming, and attentive. I went back last Friday to catch the playoff game, and the vibe was perfect. The restaurant was lively and energetic, but the music was still low enough to actually have a conversation, which I appreciated. This time I ordered the rigatoni with crab (sausage is also an option), and it was excellent. The seasoning was perfect and it's absolutely something I'll order again. For drinks, I tried both the lemon martini and the lychee martini. Both were flavorful and well made, not too strong and not too light. And once again, the service was top tier. I can already tell this is going to become one of my go-to spots when I want to step out for a good drink, a great meal, and good company. read more

The Caesar Salad made my wife sick. Initially, she ordered it with grilled chicken, but the chicken was tough and burnt. They replaced it with shrimp without warning her they were spicy. The menu says there were anchovies in the salad, but neither salad had them on it. I had a smash burger and it was good. Our waitress was PHENOMENAL with her attentiveness and she made our experience tolerable. One of the patrons said that the restaurant has only been opened for three weeks, so I'll attribute this to "growing pains". We had planned on going to a jazz show after dinner, but had to go back to our hotel. I hope they improve!!! read more
