The restaurant is clean, the food is fresh, lots of varieties. All the foods taste great and the service is attentive.

Visited 5:31/2022 Dinner for two with a great selection and variety of a menu. Everything looked tasty but sadly most everything was Way Overcooked to the point you couldn't chew it. The one saving grace was The Mongolian BBQ. Fantastic flavors and being fresh cooked when ordered it was a winner. The service was very good and prompt. Overall this place is a 2 1/2 star Asian Buffet at best. I'll pass on this next time I'm passing through this part of Phoenix.

The food was surprisingly good and very fresh! It was clean and the workers were constantly refreshing the dishes. The selection of food was massive which included desserts. The servers were nice. I had a nice feel inside and was decorated nice.

Pink lemonade is red from the bottom it tastes like a little bit like lemonade. The food is good but the octopus is a little bit spicy but still good tho. The service is good the guy is really nice. Sushi is one of my favorite things to eat and I got some and I only liked one of them but I would give this place a 5 star but the other sushi are not that good and they are so small so I'm going to have to give this a 3 star.

We ate dinner on weeknights and on a Sunday night. The is a wide selection of food to chose from. The food was tasty and good. The servers were always attentive and friendly taking away the plates and refilling our drinks. We sat once on the upper deck on a Sunday night and it was very busy after people left. Our server was busy attending to patrons while all the tables around us will not cleaned or cleared of the pile of dishes. When we finished and left we noticed that the main dining area had many uncleared tables as well while the front lobby had many guests waiting to be seated. On Sunday nite they call out your wait number and we didn't wait long. On the weeknights we didn't wait at all. The parking lot is filthy with strewn trash in some areas. We noticed 2 homeless people at the rear of the parking lot and there was a panhandler on the sidewalk by the parking lot singing and selling his wares.

My last review was in 2018 and was a 3. Since my last visit I must say there has been a definite improvement in the quality of food and cleanliness of the food area. There was also an increase in the friendliness of the server. Bathrooms still suck and the carpet should be thrown out...

Best ribs ever. The other stuff is good too but I go here just for the ribs. Very delicious beef and broccoli and skinny noodles.

Food is dry and the few times I've been in person the staff is rude. The amount of rice they give you is very generous though.

I ate their food and couldn't wait to drink water to wash the taste away. If that doesn't say it all, then I'm at a loss for words.

The honey walnut shrimp was probably the standout for me. The shrimp were tender and cooked perfectly, without that rubbery texture you sometimes get from overcooked or previously frozen shrimp. The sauce was rich and sweet, and the candied walnuts added a great crunch. The sweet and sour chicken was another winner. The chicken stayed crispy even with the sauce and didn't feel heavy or greasy. We also had the beef chow fun, which was sautéed well with fresh, crisp vegetables and plenty of flavor.. Even the hot and sour soup was very good and had a nice depth to it. Overall, this was a really enjoyable, inexpensive dinner. Fresh ingredients, good portions, and everything was cooked properly. Sometimes simple Chinese food done well is exactly what you're looking for, and this hit the spot. The service was fast and efficient. My drink never got below half empty

Amazing Restaurant!…read more All amazing people of Phoenix, if you have not gone to this phenomenal restaurant yet, you really need to. This is one convenient, high quality, extremely flavorful Chinese place that me and my husband visited today. It was just high quality all the way! When we arrived it was quiet. Superbly clean, neat and tidy. Cute decor and a nice inviting vibe. We were sat at a table and given our menus. Prices were really good. Especially when you get the quality of food that comes out of that kitchen. Our waitress was super-nice. Which is hard to find these days. She was so nice to everyone who came in. When we sat down, a lady who wasn't too sure about the place came in asking all kinds of questions. And she patiently answered each one as if she was a close family member. A homeless guy came in asking for water. She jumped right up to give him a HUGE cup of ice and water and was so kind to him. Then other patrons came in to order and pick up food and each one, regardless of age, ethnic makeup, what they were wearing, all were greeted so warmly. Huge smiles and a constant giving and warm attitude all throughout. We were treated just as good. And for us that is very rare. We ordered a lot of various things. A cold cucumber salad, a hot appetizer, a couple of main dishes. Then the absolute most amazing signature steak on the Chef's Speciality. WOW. The salad and appetizers came out first. Salad really cold and refreshing. Super crisp and cut nicely. Amazing flavor. Then the appetizers were super hot and fresh. Not oily. Bursting with flavor. Then the mains came. Everything cooked perfectly. The flavors of each dish just screaming at my taste buds. Enjoyed every bite. Then they brought out the steak for my husband. So juicy. So tender. And the sauce in the side just added to the flavor. We savored every bite. The quality and temperatures and flavors are off the chart. We could not finish all this bliss in one sitting, se we asked for boxes and containers. She gave us many to separate everything and a bag to haul it home in. Always asking if we needed anything else and being authentically polite. This place should be packed. You are missing out if you have not tried New Hong King Restaurant. Amazing service. Amazing food. Amazing all around! What a great visit!

The restaurant itself is so cute and has such a charming feel, so I was hoping the food would be just as impressive. Unfortunately, this visit was a bit of a miss for us. The noodles were very hard in texture and unfortunately lacked flavor. The fried rice was also disappointing -- I expected the usual fried rice with some vegetables and flavor, but there weren't any veggies, and the rice itself was very hard and bland. We also tried the sweet and sour chicken, which didn't have that classic sweet, tangy flavor I was expecting. It was pretty bland, and unfortunately, the chicken tasted a little off to me, so I didn't end up eating much of it. I really wanted to love this place because the reviews are so positive and the restaurant is adorable, but based on this particular takeout experience, the food just wasn't for us. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but unfortunately, I don't think I'd be rushing back. Cute restaurant, but the food definitely missed the mark for us this time.

The general chicken is perfectly breaded, deliciously flavored, slight bite and an uncious taste making you want more. The Malaysian fun chow has wok fried wide rice noodles with a hint of char, shrimp, bean sprouts, onions, veggies and a light but savory taste. Another home run! Don't let the exterior or inside decor persuade your judgement. Hands down the staff is second to none and the food is fabulous. A Mesa Asian District Gem Worth Seeking Out…read more Asian Cafe Express is a lovely strip mall gem near H-Mart in Mesa's Asian District, and after 21 years in business, it clearly has a loyal following for good reason. We brought in a fresh lobster from H-Mart to try their "bring your own seafood" cooking option and chose the garlic onion stir fry preparation. It's $14.99 for anything under 2 lbs and $7.50/lbs for anything over. It came out excellent, served over crispy egg noodles with classic Asian flavors and plenty of wok-fired goodness. We also enjoyed the Peking pork ribs, which were deboned, tasty, and slightly sweet; the stir-fried green beans, which were fresh and well prepared; and the garlic spicy chicken wings, which were especially flavorful and highly recommended. The red bean drinks were traditional and satisfying, with soft, nicely soaked mung beans and no milk. Service was friendly, efficient, and personal, handled by a couple of ladies who clearly know the restaurant and their customers well. While we were there, plenty of regulars came in for takeout and several tables were happily dining in. Overall, we really enjoyed Asian Cafe Express and were surprised we had not stopped in sooner. Highly recommend, especially for the "bring your own seafood" cooking option and the garlic spicy wings. We will definitely be back.
