We love Lin's and are so excited to be dining in again! I do factory trips to China spending weeks a year (before COVID), from the south to the north, always traditional, and never a tourist. Great food throughout. I work in a Chinese company, and have enjoyed true Flushing NY food. Lin's is right up there and has been consistently great, with a bit of the Taiwanese influence for years. The people are genuine, and so welcoming. The food is always fresh, and the sauces never too sweet. So many Chinese style restaurants have gone too American. We always order dinner and spend between 70 and $80 each time. Today we were going out early so I wanted to order early and the lady gave me a really hard time. I will never order from them again. Due to other reviews I have read I chose to try this place out. I am not one bit disappointed. I ordered the general toso chicken lunch special which came with an egg roll and chicken wing for 6.10. The food tasted great it was hot and fresh. While waiting for a wonton soup I added on I noticed that you can see through a huge glass window into the kitchen from the dining room which was cool. Lin's is a 3.5 Star dining experience with delivery. I request all white- meat chicken meals, and they always accommodate with no issue. The pad thai is a little too spicy- almost a little curryish if you will- and I've had much better Coconut soup. The hot & sour soup is serviceable, but only hot and very little sour or vinegar at all. Their spring and egg rolls are excellent, and their General Tso's chicken is a solid 3/5. My main complaint is that depending on the day, and who is in the kitchen, this will strongly affect your meal. I'm all for the uniqueness and character each chef brings to a dish, but this varies wildly. For instance, on some days, the Pad Thai is so spicy I cannot even eat it! Very hit or miss. Horrible. But the cashier was very friendly and once again my wife LOVED her Mongolian Chicken, lols. I promise you I will never return to this place again. My wife will have to go on her own, as a matter of fact I forbid her to ever return to Lins "Bistro". My wife says she gives it 4 stars but the only dish she has ever tried is the Mongolian Chicken. This was my first time here (thanks to Yelp, on this finding). First, the place is clean AND there is a window so you can actually see them cooking. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken. The lunch special comes with an egg roll, soup, and a chicken wing. The chicken wing was very flavorful... so much so, that I thought for half a second about purchasing an order to go. Everything was freshly cooked (except the egg roll, which was a little tough also). Hence, the reason for the 4 star instead of 5 (coupled with the fact that the General Tso's Chicken... although really good and piping hot... was too sweet for my liking.) I had to separate it by placing the chicken on my rice and moving that sweet sauce to the side. All-in-all... Very good and I will be back. read more

My husband and I were excited when we finally found a restaurant that was reasonably priced with delicious food. Today I ordered the lunch special and somehow the order wasn't correct. It was no big deal. I called the restaurant and the young lady who I had spoken with told me that the delivery driver can come back with the correct order. An older lady at the establishment called me back and told me that would be an upcharge for what I really wanted, then even tried to offer the more expensive dinner option. I told her that neither option was suitable at this point and to have the driver come back and pickup the incorrect order and to refund my money. She said "ok,ok!" and hung up in my face. I think Lin's Bistro food is fresh and super flavorful. I've turned my co-workers into Lin's Bistro fiends as well, we are all addicted! Another thing I really like about Lin's Bistro is that the staff always remembers my family. Sometimes I'll call and they will answer and know it's me. I think it's great because there is a good sense of community here. Every time I go in someone dining knows the person who just walked in. Party of 7. Started with egg drop and wonton soup and fried wontons. They were good, although the wontons were a bit oily. My son and his wife ordered Happy Family and House Special Lo Mein. The boys settled on sweet and sour chicken. My wife and I decided to split the Chef Special Sizzling Rice Seafood. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. My wife and I did not. The meager amount of seafood was cooked to the point of being tough and rubbery. The sauce was tasteless; like corn starch and water with out any flavor. The veggies were passable. Service: 3.5. Efficient, but never checked back after food was served. Cleanliness: 4.0 Prices: 3.5 The 2.0 rating based on the quantity and quality of the seafood dish and veggies and sizzling rice.
