Half eaten complimentary custard with coconut cream.
Sandy M.

Saw a huge UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT sign. Cute dining area with both regular chairs and booths each having their own little aesthetic lamp. The service was quick and server was attentive and very knowledgeable on menu. They had a big board listing the specials for the day. We ordered a chicken Larb salad and a chicken pad Thai. I had asked for extra Thai hot as I enjoy my meals especially Thai food more if it's really spicy. The chicken larb was great. Flavorful and spicy. But pad Thai was mildly spice and semi bland. When I asked if they had fresh peppers, server took initiative and took my dish back and had it remade. It was definitely a lot better after. Not only was it spicy but the flavors were hitting. The color as well- being a self appointed pad thai expert (LOL) the color just looked right and indicated it's full of flavors and not bland. I really enjoyed it then. We asked for check and were presented these little complimentary thai custard dessert with coconut cream on top. It had a pandan flavor, not too sweet and slightly salty from the coconut cream. Perfect blend. Will be back to try other dishes.

This hidden gem in Lawrenceville just got a refresh under new management, and it's better than ever. Everything we tried was packed with authentic Thai flavors. We ordered three appetizers--fried calamari, satay chicken, and satay pork--served in a beautiful traditional Thai basket, and they tasted perfect with sticky rice. The Crying Tiger Steak was a standout: tender, smoky, and served with a sweet-spicy sauce. We also loved the rich green curry, basil chicken, drunken noodles with jumbo shrimp, and the crispy whole red snapper with 3-flavor sauce. Everything hit the spot!

We ordered via food delivery: - Kung Pao: I do see how another review mentioned how the food could be a bit overly salty, it's not even take out nor authentic it's a bit watered down versus glazed but has a good base taste. Came with white rice and a spring roll which was delicious and loved the sauce that came with it - $13.50 - Pad Prik Khing: I got this with chicken and was pretty disappointed in how sweet it ended up being. I am used to savory maybe a hint of sweetness type Thai but this was sweet. This also came with rice and a spring roll. - $13.50 All in all, I think the spices and food is more catered to western taste versus authentic and/or normal take out. I did kind of feel maybe these were put together with Asian grocery store sauces like pre-mixed ? The food wasn't totally unappetizing but I think I will skip this place in the future as we really couldn't find a way to finish our food. As a disclaimer though just because it wasn't what I enjoy it doesn't mean you won't. Worth a try!

Lunch Pad See Ew

My coworker and I dined here Friday for lunch and we were very impressed with our experience! Fresh Bowl is a small restaurant with a few tables at the end of a shopping plaza. The interior is fresh and clean with minimal decoration and only a couple of servers for the entire restaurant. There were a few patrons dining when my coworker and I arrived and throughout our meal, there was a steady flow of patrons. My coworker and I wanted to try a variety of dishes so decided to share instead of ordering individual meals. We were able to try the following: - Pad See Ew - Stir fried flat rice noodles with chicken, egg, broccoli, and carrots in brown sauce. - General Tso's Chicken - Deep fried battered chicken with bell peppers in a spicy and sweet sauce. Served with jasmine rice and spring roll. - Spicy Mango Chicken - Deep fried battered chicken with bell peppers, mango chunk, and basil leaves in spicy mango sauce. Served with jasmine rice, and spring roll. Our lunch specials were served with a complimentary soup, which was an unexpected pleasant surprise. All three dishes very delicious and exceeded my expectations. I especially enjoyed the light breading on both the General Tso's and Mango chicken; I really dislike when these dishes are served with a thick or heavy breading so I this made all the difference here. The Pad See Ew was also great quality. Service was very responsive and overall we had a great experience. The prices of their lunch specials here are also very appealing. Glad we decided to try this place - I look forward to coming back!

The waitress was friendly and attentive to our requests. The store was also neat and clean. We had the fried calamari which was cooked perfectly and not overly seasoned like most restaurants, as our appetizers. For our main dishes we tried the Isan style Papaya and the basil chicken with regular jasmine rice as well as sticky rice. All of the dishes were delicious and we plan on returning in the future.

Please note that this is the new name for this restaurant. It changed from Fresh Bowl to Besta Thai Cuisine. It's under new management.

This restaurant is under new management, the food is still excellent. We had a curry dish and dumplings. Both were great; The dumplings were among the best I've ever had. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT'S NAME HAS CHANGED FROM FRESH BOWL TO BESTA.

I saw the Under New Management sign and the atmosphere is good. The food I ordered Green Curry Chicken, Satay Chicken (PEA NUT Sauce) , Gai Yang and Pad Thai Chicken. The food was very good.

I went here cause I been craving mango sticky rice. $12 for this dessert is crazy but also they don't put the extra cream of coconut sauce on it so it's extra dry. The little side of whip cream isn't enough nor does it do the dessert justice. I wouldn't recommend unless you like dry rice. They really need to revamp the recipe and make it like everyone else does especially when they charges $2 more than most places.

My sisters and I were shopping at Discover Mills and one of them was in the mood for some Thai food. Fresh bowl was the only other Thai restaurant in the area besides the one located in the mall. (I actually use to work down the street and been wanting to stop by for a long time). We arrived right when they opened on a Monday and were seated right away. They had every other booth blocked to keep customers separated due to Covid. Lots of restaurants had stopped doing this. +1000 stars We ordered the papaya salad, spicy beef salad, Panang Curry, appetizer sampler, and some stir fry noodles. Everything was pretty good. The papaya salad and spicy beef salad just needed some extra spice. The staff was really attentive, probably because we were the only customers that ate in the entire time we were there. They had lots of take outs that night. Definitely recommending Fresh Bowl to family and friends.

My once favorite bbq tofu bao: not toasted and tasted like chemicals. The owners just simply dont care anymore, and I need to let this place finally go.

I stopped into Baozi Asian Street Food in Lawrenceville for the first time in several years,…read moreexpecting the same fun flavors and generous portions I remembered. What I found instead felt like a small echo of what the place used to be. The food has shrunk in size while the prices have climbed, which makes the whole experience feel out of balance. I ordered the bao because it used to be the star of the show for me. I still remember the way they were fried on one side before, with that golden crisp that added texture and soul to every bite. This time the bao arrived soft and much smaller than I remembered. The flavor was fine, but the magic was missing. It felt like the memory of a painting that has faded over time. I do want to say that the staff were kind and welcoming. They suggested a hibachi special, which I was not interested in, but they made the attempt to guide my order. Their warmth was the best part of the visit. I left with a sense of nostalgia for what used to be. Maybe the menu has evolved or costs have changed, but the experience simply did not match the picture I carried with me. I hope the place finds its rhythm again, because it once held a special spot in my rotation.
