I have come here for a wedding but never came here for a wine tasting. So glad that I did! The grounds are so nice and clean. The views are amazing! Great to have a picnic date with a friend or partner. The wine tasting was fun. We could choose a dry wine card or a sweet wine card and you know I went with the sweet. All the wines are good but you could only choose 5 to try from each card. We got to rate them so we knew which bottle we should buy. The apple was my favorite. Great for this fall season. Customer service was phenomenal! Penny is a gem! Super sweet and kind! Super informative when explaining the wines. My friends got some food from here too and they said it was good! Can't wait to come here again! Definitely a good spot to check out if you are in the area and even if you're not.

This beautiful winery was well worth the 60-minute drive from the Bethesda area! We visited on a weekday, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxed. There was plenty of parking right in front of the winery, which made for an easy arrival. The wine tasting at the bar was about $26 for two people and included five wines each. You can choose between a dry or sweet wine list and mark your favorites. The staff member who guided our tasting was not only sweet and welcoming, but also very knowledgeable--we truly enjoyed both the wine and the learning experience. By the end of our sampling, we had discovered several wines we loved and picked up a few bottles to take home. Our ultimate favorite was Indulgence. While the winery doesn't have a restaurant on-site, they do host food trucks on weekends and during special events, and they also allow guests to bring their own food--which is a great option. We'll definitely be coming back again!

Local Maryland winery approximately 45 min from Baltimore city. All the wine is made on site. They even have a beer brewery and tap room. They had a food truck with Mediterranean cuisine. I had the lamb gyro and it was tasty. The space is nice and charming. The layout is open and spacious. Good for a small gathering. I would consider this place kid friendly as there were some kids. There was live music that added a nice touch. They offer tastings. Which is a great way to sample the wines that they sell. I did both the sweet and the reserve tasting menu. Both were good. But I like wine a lot. The lady who did my tasting was very knowledgeable and talked me through the wine notes of every pour. Perfect for a quick day getaway.

I love this winery!!! They have a great wine selection, and great festivals. They always bring entertainment. It's just a vibe here. The staff members are pretty nice. The winery is well maintained, and It's in a great tucked off location. However, I seem to lose service every time I visit.

Linganore was amazing! I've visited multiple times in the past but never for a festival! I attended the Caribbean Festival on Sunday. It was jam packed but still enough room to move around. All of the staff were pleasant, the music was good, and everyone dance and drank the day away! They had food for sale; some reasonably priced while some stands were overpriced. The festival was from 10-6. I arrived at 2 and stayed until the end! We also ended up buying three bottles which were all $17 a piece! I can't wait for the next one.

Thanks to my partner in crime, aka Clyde, Babe, Yelp Maximus, cutie pie.... I got to venture out to the Caribbean Festival at Linganore Wine-cellars! There were so many people but it was all fun, super peaceful, and just great energy. I don't like crowds and although this is crowded, having your own little tent with chairs is the way to go! Thanks to my significant other for waking up early and putting in the work! You're TOP TIER! Highly recommend! The wine is delicious! Oh and this girl saw two of her Yelp Elite friends roaming the venue! 10k people and I still managed to see Elites!

I had such a bad idea of Linganore based on what wines they brought to festivals so when the idea of going to the winery itself came up I wasnt super enthused but I was willing to give it a shot. I am so glad I did because they have such a wide assortment of wine that i would have never known about if it wasnt for going to the winery! I went for a wine in the vines experience where they drive you around the winery so you can taste the wines next to the vines where the grapes were grown and not only did we get to see all the beautiful scenery but we got such a great wine education. Our tour guide was amazing in putting up with the antics of 5 wine drunk ladies while still making sure we didnt miss a moment of the experience. Out of all the wines we tried i only didnt love like two of them which is wild because i dont enjoy anything they bring to wine in the woods typically.

The reggae wine festival is always a vibe! I just love attending. Every time I go I have a great time and this weekend was just the same. Cant wait for next year!!! The Skipjack Wine is my new favorite! A must try, I brought home 2 bottles lol.

The Reggae wine festival was a cute vibe with the band. I enjoyed my time outdoors, but I'm not sure if the entry fee is worth it. GLOWS: -Parking was well organized. I was able to park and get out without much congestion -The reggae music was pretty good. I enjoyed the DJ over the music -you can bring in food, food warmers, and non alcoholic drinks. GROWS: -Not much difference between the DD entry fee and the fee for those drinking TIP: Get there early when doors open to get the best spot in the tent or chair area.

The most beautiful vineyard in the region and a perfect choice to celebrate a friend's born day at the annual AUTUMN REGGAE WINE & MUSIC FESTIVAL AT LINGANORE WINECELLARS.

This is our favorite local winery! We have been members for some months now and always love coming here to enjoy their wine and eat from the food trucks. The service is great and the wines are affordable. The open land is good for families and picnics or parties. The private tastings are very personal and the staff will accommodate you. Try the mountain red!

Very spacious and well-organized. It's a mixed crowd which is very good. You can bring your own food but no outside alcohol. The band was great and had the crowd vibing with them!! I definitely will be coming back.

We had a good time the fall reggae fest was too crowded. I would visit again when it's less hectic.

Let me first add the context that I don't really identify as a wine drinker, but will still occasionally visit vineyards because I think the experience is nice. 61 vineyard was a cool spot for sure. They have a nice open location with tons of space (I think they said around 40 acres) and they've been expanding their main location for the four years that they've been open. They have a main tasting room, an expansion seating room, and an outdoor patio area that are all well maintained and great for parties of all sizes. I partook in the wine tasting which was very good and the staff was very friendly and easy to talk to (which I find often makes or breaks wine tasting experiences) The wine itself does seem on the pricier end for what I'm used to where I think the average bottle here goes for over $20. But there are also member and subscription types of services to take advantage of discounts. I'm not entirely sure if they have relationships with food vendors, but they didn't have many food option in the main location itself when we were there. The food options that I saw were prepackaged charcuterie packs, so I would keep that in mind for your visit. All in all a very nice winery spot and would recommend even if wine isn't typically your drink of choice.

They have a great view, string lights, indoor and outdoor seating, and a brewery close by. They have been around 4 years and are slowly revamping an old dairy farm into this winery. I loved that you could build your own flight. I enjoyed my tasting. I loved that she let us try everything, even though the tasting was set for 5 wines. I'm not sure how tastings would work when they are more busy. We went at opening on a Friday, so we could sit at the bar and hear about all the wines. There were so many good wines, but the Albariño really stood out as crisp and fresh and different.

Let me get the "bad" out of the way first, and note this is still a five-star review. You drive up a gravel country road to a small building that houses the tasting room. It's the smallest tasting room I've ever been in, and very simply decorated: a few beautifully framed pieces from the farm's history, some antique tools, and that's about it. This isn't going to be your upscale winery experience. If you're looking for Napa or Bordeaux vibes, you're in the wrong place. The single guy behind the counter turned out to be the owner. He mentioned that his wife usually runs the tastings, but she was on vacation. He was fantastic, fun to talk with, knowledgeable from both a production angle and a "yes, I actually drink these wines" perspective, which is surprisingly rare. He even spoke warmly about nearby wineries, treating them as colleagues rather than competitors. It's always refreshing to meet a winemaker who genuinely enjoys other people's wine. As for the wines: we tried all twelve. A couple were still young and could use a few years in the bottle, but they showed a lot of promise. I didn't care for the Muscat, but most of the others were excellent, and I had a hard time choosing which bottles to take home. Be sure to try the "Trop Elyts"; it's fantastic, and kind of port like. I'm not usually a rosé fan, but their take on it was so unique I bought a bottle of that, too. The farm itself dates back to the 1700s. George Washington probably slept there (he slept everywhere). It's full of character and history, and well worth the stop

There is not strong AC anywhere there. The indoor seating is very small and feels like you're in someone's grandma's living room. Tastings are done in a flight with plastic cups, not one at a time in a glass. We did enjoy the wines and eventually enjoyed talking to the one employee who was there, but it was a rough start. When we entered the tasting room we were the only people there except for one other man. We had to initiate conversation with him to determine if we were in the right place and if we could get a tasting. It was confusing and we didn't feel clear about what to do or welcomed. I did enjoy the Rich Forest Chard, the Rose blend, and the Hogshead Red. It was interesting to learn about the residual sugars and how their rose is different. There is a cemetery on the premises which was an interesting choice.

This winery deserves all the awards and promotion that I've seen all socials .... However, when you know a major dmv social group (dmvdoes ) is hosting an event of 40+ people why is only 1 staff member working the whole night.? Our event experience (paid ) came with a glass of wine for all our guests. The wine was just put on a table without any explanation of the wine , grapes, or legacy. I brought several things for a raffle including the mayor bottle of wine , 2 tastings, and a wine flight for myself. There was no education or discussion about wine. Next, I ordered food and drinks before our event started and I didn't get my food until an hour after I arrived. Next , the suya was so tough I almost choked on a piece of it. The rice was decent but not a winner for me. Lastly, parking is limited to street parking or an outdoor parking lot up the street. It's a cute place to have a social event or a laid back wine meetup but definitely need more staff, wine education for visitors, and better food options.

I came here in September for my birthday and been very hesitant to write a review…read more I forgot how I heard about this place but I was excited because it's the first black owned winery in laurel. I think it's the only winery in Laurel so I definitely wanted to come and support. I first went to check it out and see what information I could get to reserve for a large party. It's kind of located in the cut of main st but there's plenty of street parking. Walk in and you'll see there are two settings. It's very welcoming and warm with beautiful decor and many seating on both sides. I explained to the gentleman what I wanted and he said it shouldn't be no problem just reach out to the events manager. It was a bit last minute, I sent an email on 9/22 to come on 9/28 at 5:30pm (had to confirm the number of people). Just to clarify, we spoke on the phone and email for communication of all information. I noticed they had an event that same day but it started earlier in the day and the events manager told me it should end before my guests arrive. I told her I was having 20 people total and I was ordering two charcuterie boards. Everything was confirmed and good to go as I thought. My guests were letting me know they were arriving but were seated in the smaller area. I was hoping by the time I got there it would be handled but no they already started ordering in the smaller area and the staff there said they were told only 10 people were suppose to come but I showed them the emails. The event they had ran longer than it should have which I wish I would have known just to let my guests know. The staff then tried to fix it but literally a whole hour and half later. Once we got in the event room, we had our charcuterie boards and others order their suya and jollof rice. They did not finish their food, it actually looked dry. Before the day, I was told my guests were not able to do flights but the day of they were able to order. I wanted to order some for the party but it's okay, we all figured out which wine we liked best and a couple bought bottles. To end it, the staff brought out a cute cupcake for my friends to wish me happy birthday. They have a speaker for you to connect if you want to play your own music. Other than that, we had fun. Regardless, I'm going to have fun. I recommend to go and have your own experience. I will definitely come back for a last minute date or just to pick up one of the wine bottles I liked.
