I love supporting local business, that's why I shop here. But I am an under $10/ bottle girl and this is hard to do here...

Excellent beer selection for Montgomery County!! Although slightly pricey, I blame this on the county. It's definitely a gem!

The machine has an ever-changing selection of reds, whites, and rosés to either taste or get a full pour of. Both times I have attended I have gravitated to the red blends, becoming favorites of mine. The staff were really nice to chat with and I love the way out of the place, though small. I would be excited to sit outside when the weather is better, though it's just the sidewalk with a bunch of cars going by a busy street. The inside has bar seats, a small lounge area, and a high long table. Did I mention they also sell a bunch of wines, snacks, and more? They have events too, so I will have to check those out.

I visted on a Tuesday so it wasn't too busy. I found reasonably priced metered parking right outside. There's also a nearby garage. Demi was a pleasure to chat with and learn more about this business. I liked the self-serve option for tasting and/or a full glass. I was impressed with the selection of wines. My fave was the Castella D'Alba (a red blend from Portugal). They offer charcuterie options. It's not a large space so if visiting with a group, reservations are recommended! I can't wait to visit again.

Luis, our server, struck the perfect balance; knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely helpful without ever hovering. He guided me through my wine flight with ease, offering insights that enhanced the tasting without making it feel overwhelming. The tasting room itself is beautifully designed; elegant and refined, but not at all pretentious. It feels upscale while still being comfortable and inviting. And the food absolutely delivered everything we had was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Overall, it's the kind of place that feels like an experience, not just a stop for wine. Definitely worth planning ahead for.

We reserved a private space with a private tasting, which made the day feel extra special and perfect for a large group. For many of our guests, it was their first time visiting this location, and everyone had such a great time. One of the co-founders, Greg, personally led our tasting and was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, welcoming, and checked on us throughout the afternoon to make sure everything was going smoothly. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. I also appreciated that some friends who don't drink were still able to enjoy themselves thanks to the non-alcoholic options. The property itself is beautiful with scenic views, plenty of space to relax, and such a peaceful atmosphere. We had amazing weather the day we visited, which made it even more memorable. If you are looking for a great place for a birthday, celebration, group outing, or just a relaxing day with friends, I highly recommend! We will definitely be back.

There was PLENTY of seating still - lots of large and small tables scattered throughout the property. They also have seating inside the winery at a small bar. The wine itself was really nice; we had several bottles of the rose at the table. It was light, crisp, and easy to sip in the nice weather. I was impressed that they also had 2 non alcoholic wines; the non drinkers in our group were happy to have some options made just for them (which were delicious also). There is a third party pizza business that had food offerings; we had many different types of their pizza which were all good. Very smart to have a food option for folks to enjoy while we sip our wine. Overall, the property is wonderfully maintained and the wines meet all expectations. I'd recommend giving this spot a try if you're looking for a nice winery north of the beltway!

Over the years, we've done apple, strawberry, and blueberry picking here, but the fall pumpkin festival is the best. It is on the pricier side, but well worth it. The farm is beautiful, the experience is fun, and it's a wonderful way to get the kids outdoors.

I met some friends for the last day of the pumpkin festival... and believe it or not, this was my first time ever going to Butler's Orchard. Whenever anyone mentions apple picking, usually this spot comes up. So I followed the signs (and saw where people were pointing), and made my way to a parking space on the grass. I do like that you show your ticket and grab a wristband before even going inside... this meant I also had a map. So I studied that for a few minutes and then went inside. The main mission: apple cider donuts. I waited about 5 minutes in line -- shout out to the person who pointed out that we didn't have to wait in the extra long line... that was for all food, not just donuts. I grabbed myself a half dozen, and sheesh... okay, i like Fall again. I forgot how delicious these donuts are... and they were still warm. The rest of my time at Butler's was spent sipping cider, eating BBQ (that was a wonderful pit turkey sandwich), and just watching everything going on. The pumpkin picking, mazes, goats, corn pool, and everything else going on made for a really cool space. It was my first time going to Butler's, but it won't be my last. I'll be back -- especially to check out the cidery specifically. The blackberry cider I had was fantastic!

Let me first add the context that I don't really identify as a wine drinker, but will still occasionally visit vineyards because I think the experience is nice. 61 vineyard was a cool spot for sure. They have a nice open location with tons of space (I think they said around 40 acres) and they've been expanding their main location for the four years that they've been open. They have a main tasting room, an expansion seating room, and an outdoor patio area that are all well maintained and great for parties of all sizes. I partook in the wine tasting which was very good and the staff was very friendly and easy to talk to (which I find often makes or breaks wine tasting experiences) The wine itself does seem on the pricier end for what I'm used to where I think the average bottle here goes for over $20. But there are also member and subscription types of services to take advantage of discounts. I'm not entirely sure if they have relationships with food vendors, but they didn't have many food option in the main location itself when we were there. The food options that I saw were prepackaged charcuterie packs, so I would keep that in mind for your visit. All in all a very nice winery spot and would recommend even if wine isn't typically your drink of choice.

I'm not sure how tastings would work when they are more busy. We went at opening on a Friday, so we could sit at the bar and hear about all the wines. There were so many good wines, but the Albariño really stood out as crisp and fresh and different.
