I wasn't happy with my experience at this location. The brand new truck had overspray and chemical marks all over. They simply didn't give my new truck the TLC I expected, If you have old work truck and just want protection this is the place for you. If you have new paint - avoid and consider another facility. Good news - after 4 days of clay and detail able to remove most of the problem. Manager DID offer to clean the truck but I couldn't trust them to keep my clearcoat safe. They work multiple trucks in area at same time and fail to keep dust controlled. Oh and final bill was $50 higher than estimate. read more

Buyer Beware; I believe there is something seriously wrong with this business. When I agreed to their estimate of $1100 for the work I requested I was asked to pay $76.00 upfront for parts. OK; no problem. But upon getting my credit card number, I was charged the full $1100 without my permission- with the actual work date ten days to two weeks off. "Oh, it was a mistake", I was told. "It will be corrected this afternoon". After waiting patiently and no refund, I went by the store at noon the next day. "Oh, my boss has to approve that and he just got it done this morning. You'll see the refund sometime this afternoon." LONG STORY SHORT: After seven to eight promises for a refund and six days of waiting and repeatedly being told that I'd get my credit card refund quickly, I decided to give it one last try. The parts were supposed to be in the afternoon I went back by the store; but they were not there and it would take another ten days to arrive, I was told. I asked for the receipt for the refund credit from the manager, but got stonewalled- again. "I'm sorry, I can't give you that; only the owner can"; and once again he was conveniently not there. The manager promised to call me back THAT SAME afternoon after speaking with her owner. She did not! Is this outfit's cash flow so poor that they have to steal from their customers to stay open? I don't know the answer to that, but I do know that what they are doing is unprofessional in the extreme, and I do not like being lied to even once let alone seven or eight times over a week. My credit card company accepted my complaint and I didn't get hurt (this time). But I cannot recommend anyone do business with this firm or any other like them, unless of course you enjoy someone using your money to play games with you. I took 3 hours off work which cost me money to have my truck bed lined as they are only open m-f 9-5. I paid over $550 to get it lined and for the first week I didn't put anything in it. I noticed that the lining has a rubber feel to it which is odd as my last two trucks spray on liner felt hard. This lining SCRATCHES extremely easily. Putting a shovel in my truck bed and driving a few hours caused scratches everywhere. A folded up steel ramp that weighs about 15 pounds caused huge scratches as well. Anything other than groceries has been causing scratches. I brought my truck in to get it fixed and the manager took a few photos and said she would get back to me. It's been about a month and she hasn't called or replied. read more

3/3/2023 update Note to customers thinking of using this location -not only is the management horribly unprofessional, the owner, Tod Miley will research your personal life and linkedin account to bully you and contact your employer (who has nothing to do with my vehicle or parts needed or this issue in any way). Line-x Plano owner Tod Miley sent me a threatening email saying he would contact my employer (who is unrelated to this issue) if I did not stop contacting his store to get a status on why my refund was missing money, a question no one has ever contacted me to answer. He also accused me of threatening and harassing his manager Tiffany and would bring civil suit against me. None of this is true and thank goodness he has a recorded line that he can listen to. Still, have not gotten a reply why my refund was missing money. Do business at the Plano location at your own risk, and know your personal online facebook / linkedin information is at risk, as he will use it to try to hush you, which won't work with me. I now have an attorney involved. Had a flawless, professional experience at the Mckinney location. 3/2/2023 update Line-x Plano did a partial refund, keeping $100 for themselves. So I had to call the store again, manager Tiffany was not exactly sure why but figured it was a restocking fee. She wasn't sure because owner Tod Miley was handling it and was supposed to call me (which he hasn't done now for 4 days). If it is a restocking fee, I am not sure why they would charge the customer for something that was not the customer's fault. They could not deliver the product to me on time when promised, so they should take that fee up with their vendor. Not one time have I gotten a phone call from LIne-x Plano on the refund issue. I have to call every day to get a status and the manager today insults me and said I am harassing her for posting the review on social media (her words after I asked her for the corp office phone number - "why don't you look up corporates phone number on the internet, since you're so good on social media"). I had her repeat her statement to make sure I heard it correctly. How could LIne-x Plano handle this better?: 1- call with updates on the refund or order status so I don't have to call every day. 2- don't blame the customer when time runs out after the customer waits day after day patiently for their order that was promised the next day. 3- don't try to skimp the full refund that your website promises. 4- don't act put out, defensive and hang up on the customer or tell them they are harassing you because they have to call to get an update on their refund. This has been an epic fail of a customer service experience for this location. I will keep the issue updated, if the outcome is good or bad. read more

I bought a tonneau online from a distributor and had a hell of a time installing it on my new truck. They recommended I call Line-X and said that they were a very reputable shop. I rang these guys and while they don't install anything that wasn't purchased directly from them, were very cool and even offered to give me some free shims if I came to their shop. I took advantage of their generosity - they have a clean shop and seem to be a very well run business. End of story- the shims worked out well, my tonneau is finally installed and I'm a happy camper. I found Line-X Truck N Stuff after I ordered items from Weather Tech. Line-X is a double Diamond Dealer for Weather Tech. Had I realized that I would have had Line-X order and install. Because Weather Tech did not send me the correct items for Side window shields they broke two times. LineX (Phil owner, Megan his daughter) were went above and beyond to help me out. They installed items that did not or would not work for me from Weather Tech. They were more than reasonable in the installation fees since I was at a stand still on my own trying to install all Weather Tech items I had purchased. I highly recommend these folks. Super people super company of integrity. read more

The only reason I am not giving this business a five star rating is because of one thing that is very important to me: attention to detail. I brought my shortbed truck in for a bedliner. I opted for the premium finish and to cover the bedrails. Cost about $700. Although this truck is 4 years old, it is in mint condition and I take care of it. I had a otherwise pleasant experience with this business. But there are three things about the finished product that rubbed me wrong: 1) When I was ready to pick it up, there was bedliner "residue" on the outside of the truck (bits and pieces of bedliner on the body, randomly from the back and even up to front. I don't think there is any permanent "damage", but it is a little disconcerting to find that (makes you wonder how much prep/protection was done). 2) There appears to be a run in the bedliner at the front of the bed on the driver's side. 3) I recognize this is being extremely picky, but again, attention to detail matters to me. The emblem they apply inside the bed as a "warranty tag" was installed crooked. Bugs me every time I see it. I used this Line-X location because of it's convenient location. I also checked Yelp first (as I do with many other businesses/purchases), and I did not find many reviews, so I wanted to be sure to provide one for potential customers. Overall, not a terrible experience. But because I didn't leave with a completely good feeling about the work done and was not sure that total care that was taken, there was definitely room for improvement. read more

I hired this Line X shop to spray the front of my Jeep Cherokee after having some Bondo repair done to the hood after a truck dropped a padlock onto the road in front of me and it left a nasty dent on my new car. Phil did a great job of going over the options I had - showing me how the product would look after it was applied. His whole crew was very professional and helpful and afterwards my Cherokee looked so good that I commented that I should thank that truck driver for damaging my car and pushing me into doing the Line X instead of a back-to-factory repair of the hood. read more

Great family owned and operated company in the Plano area. I got connected to this company through their excellent reviews on Yelp. I am really close to the Mesquite LineX but chose to drive from Rockwall to Plano to get this done. Megan was very professional, welcoming and very eager to earn my business.... which is something of a lost art. She could have quickly giving me all the info I wanted on a sheet of paper and walked me out, but, she took the time to educate me about the product and they were able to get the job done in a very timely manor. I had my brand new F150 sprayed here today. I searched as best I could for a quality shop and there was just not a lot of reviews available for any of the shops. I chose this one because of the limited reviews they had, it was positive and they are an experienced line-x installer. My truck is spotless without a scratch anywhere. I chose the premier liner and paid over 700.00 for my short box. Everyone one at the store was very pleasant and answered any questions I had. The spay in liner is beautiful. A very nice job, with clean lines and no over spray. But, my tailgate is all scratched up from what ever they placed it on to sand and spray. I expected a business that removes a tailgate to spray it and the bed on a daily basis would have precautions for preventing scratching the tailgate. I expect someone in this business to prevent that from happening. You can see mine was rocked back and forth resulting in many scratches. My wife was looking at me in the drive waiting for me to explode. But I just can't anymore because I'm just dejected more than anything. I don't understand why taking your vehicle somewhere, now days requires a scratch or damage. I'm very disappointed. I got out the compound and was able to work out most of the scratches in the clear in 3 spots. I'll probably have to clear, wet sand, compound a few spots. But the fourth one is down in and through the paint. I spent 700 dollars at a line-x certified shop on a premium liner and have possibly a couple hundred dollars of tailgate damage if fixed correctly. I polished it as best I can and will live with it, but in all that's a pretty disappointing result for what would have been a beautiful job. I don't know what more you could to avoid this other than be a wise guy and ask to see the shop, stands, etc when you get there, which is probably not something they'd want to deal with. read more
