Water damage - Mildew damage
Jeff H.

I came to Dallas Off-Road, because I had recently purchased my first Jeep, and someone told me these people and this establishment was the premier Jeep service professionals in the DFW Region. Unfortunately, over the eight months and $8000 worth of patronage that I spent at Dallas Off-Road, I personally witnessed and paid dearly for their gross negligence and damage to my property. On April 3, 2020, Jeff told me to stop by and have the differential fluid changed after having new Yukon Gears installed here earlier in the year. I showed up as instructed, and had the checkup performed. After getting my Jeep home some 30 miles away, I pull into my driveway and hop out of my Jeep to see a trail of fluid on my driveway. At that point, I looked under the Jeep and noticed that the drain plug on the differential cover was protruding significantly - we later found that it was not even hand-tight, and that fluid had dripped and blown all over the undercarriage of my Jeep during the 30 mile trek from the shop to my home. I called the shop and explained what was going on, and Mark asked me to email pictures of the situation. After doing so, and calling back, he responds, "Well, would you like me to send someone out to tighten the drain plug back for you?" I obviously declined the kind offer seeing as though my trust and confidence in these people had been completely lost as soon as I seen what was going on in my driveway and underneath my Jeep. New Yukon Gears ruined by the gross negligence of the installer due to a drain plug being left out? Check. Later in 2020, I had some work done at a highly reputable third-party service vendor with decades of quality service in Dallas. While my vehicle was at this third-party establishment, they needed to send my Jeep elsewhere to have a routine alignment and some simple suspension components replaced. Unbeknownst to me, the third-party vendor sent my Jeep to Dallas Off-Road as, apparently, they too, were under the impression that the people at Dallas off-Road were consummate professionals and absolute experts when it comes to anything having to do with a Jeep. Well, instead of using this opportunity as a chance to possibly make up for the damage they caused when they neglected to properly replace a differential drain plug months earlier, they instead decided to further damage my property by leaving my Jeep out in the rain overnight without the hardtop on it. Granted, the third-party vendor brought them my Jeep with the hardtop off, the employees at Dallas Off-Road never notified the vendor at the time they dropped the Jeep off that the top needed to be on. They never called the third-party vendor at any time to express that the hardtop would be necessary either. They never decided to simply throw a tarp over the exposed interior either. In fact, not only did they not secure my fully exposed Jeep in their garage overnight, but they decided to leave it outside overnight along with seven other Jeeps which just happened to all have their covers in place. Upon the third-party vendor visiting Dallas Off-Road to inquire about the neglect and resulting potential water damage to my aftermarket parts (DVD, speakers, subwoofers, cameras, etc.) - let alone my vehicle interior - the representatives of the third-party vendor were treated with complete indifference, disrespect, and a blatant lack of responsibility and accountability by the Dallas Off-Road staff. In fact, these experts and leaders of the Jeep community basically handed the keys over to the third-party vendor representative, and said, "If you don't like it, you're more than welcomed to take the Jeep elsewhere." Water damage to my Jeep and numerous electronic devices within due to it being left outside unsecured overnight during a thunderstorm? Check. I trusted these people with my Jeep because I thought they were consummate professionals who valued all customers and took pride in their quality of work. I was wrong. If you value your vehicles and your hard-earned money, take your patronage elsewhere, Folks.

I took my 1991 YJ to Dallas off-road for a lift and two bumpers . About half way through the lift due to my Jeep being undercoated it was almost impossible to see but they found that the back part of my frame was rusted out to the point that it was lost... or so I though . Dallas off-road decides that they could fix it as they have some awesome fabricators there . End result is outstanding and much much stronger than it was out of the factory! I can't thank them enough for the effort and work that they put into my baby . There customer service is unmatched anywhere!!! I've been burn many times and they get that and worked with me and was transparent every step of the way . Thank you To Jeff and his bad ass team of fabricators and mechanics . Y'all did an awesome job and I'll be back with everything I need done !

If you're looking for an off-road shop you can trust with your rig, this is the place for you. Great deals and service, and they know their stuff. I've had them install new gears, bumpers, a full Rock Krawler lift and new tires all in the last two years. Best prices in town, and they always stand behind their work.

Took us in last second, even when I sensed it was not convenient for us to walk in on a Friday…read morebegging for help with putting on new leaf springs we brought in, that weren't even an exact replacement fit, where other parts and front end work especially, would be required for a perfect job done. I'll eventually redo the entire steering/suspension, where I'll reinstall the drivers side u bolts evenly like they are on the passenger side, but this was great here, being helped last second like this. Yet what I really appreciate most is authentic business, where my ass is not being kissed, I'm not receiving fake smiles and no one's pretending to be excited when they're not. I really liked this guys attitude. Don't know if he's the owner or what. I personally don't trust anyone who's smiling really big like they're truly happy to see me walk into their repair shop hauling in leaf spring packs on a Friday, and never having met me before. I wish more business owners and employees would be authentic people, and just say it how it is, be who they are, be in whatever mood they're in and don't front. Sadly that's not what naive consumers want- the ones who know nothing about how to fix their own cars while also running a shop. (Most everyone I assume). People complain all the time about real attitudes, but if they want fake ones, they should expect fake business. Which is what 99.9% of what we gets in shops... I'm paying these sweet smiling faces thousands to break my autos. It happens every time- I travel a lot. I go back to say the repair went poorly, and they smile really big, saying it did not. That everything is great or something else is wrong. Then I go home pissed as hell at myself for even going back, because if it's bad the first time, it's only getting worse if you go back. (Never go back). I then dust off and drag out my floor Jack and stands with my crippled disabled ass body that can barely turn a wrench most days, And I get to pull off all the mountains of parts they broke and yank out $350 new Delphi fuel pumps they put in, to find it's full of mud as I'd suspected, and never would have known unless I could remove my entire fuel tank out on the side of the not-level-street to pull it out myself to confirm my suspicions. Then I get to see the frame damage from them over tightening things, missing the bullseye with their hammers and wacking huge dents into my now altered rusting frame. I get to see my $100 fuel filler hose was cut down the side- and too far down, as well- because they removed it the fast lazy way. (Because I'll never see it... yeah). I get to go buy all new parts myself, and then I get to reinstall them myself, using my real torque wrench with my real torque specs and real brain, and I get to think about how all these fancy shops with free cold water bottles and new leather sofas and their smiling faces gaining 5 stars on Yelp! are so good at being fake and getting away with it, because they know the game and they know that you don't know shit. How you don't know that they strategize dishonest ways to get Yelp! to take my honest reviews down. I don't want fake repair work done on my truck anymore, so seriously thanks for being one of those rare authentic humans, and who's behind the counter while under the car too. End review rant. Excited to finally find a real authentic human in an auto repair shop. For real, thank you.
