I explained to them that I need to fix the chip so I don't have to go through a claim process with my credit card, because who wants to really go through claim processes? Nobody. He said no problem we can get this fixed for you in the morning before you return it. He came at 7am and sent me before and after photos. The "after photo" he texted me appeared as if there was no more visible chip so I figured mission accomplished. When I got in the car I was shocked. This was not fixed at all and actually looked worse than before because of the drilling he did. (Photos attached) So now I'm going through the claim process that I was trying to avoid and out hard earned dollars that they refused to refund.

I then came across Titan Auto Glass and they were actually able to beat Safelite's pricing; despite being a much smaller operation all while offering the same stipulations and specifications. The tech who came out, Richard, has been doing automotive glass for 20 years, and it comes as no surprise that he aced this job and did so in about 30 minutes flat. Very impressive. I found the staff to be easy to work with, and most communication was done via text message, which I actually find very convenient. Obviously they primarily use aftermarket glass, which in my case was a nonfactor since the factory windshield no longer exists in inventory anywhere. They did say if I ever wanted a factory windshield for one of my other vehicles that I could source it and they would still be able to install it after the fact. I was able to get scheduled within 48 hours and they gave me a two hour window to fix my vehicle.
