Speed Shield has done ppf and tint for both of my Teslas. While the ownership has changed since my first experience with them in 2018, the great service has not. Ian was very responsive to my needs and he made sure that my car was completed when I needed it done. They fully wrapped my car with Clear Bra. They are meticulous about removing all the trim/emblems making sure that the wraps are done completely. The same goes for the SpectraPhoto Sync tint they used. While they are not the cheapest place to go to, you do get great value because they are using top quality materials and the care they take in doing a first quality job. read more

I was looking at a few places to replace the precut clear bra the dealer had installed. That one was showing age and didn't provide protection in areas I wanted. I was going to use another local place, but was referred here for a second opinion. Let's say I'm glad I came. Not only did I save a smidgen, but it was closer and they provide much more options. You can wrap your entire car in clear or go BEZERK! If I had the budget, I'd get the entire car wrapped with something crazy. Custom clear bras are not cheap FYI. Trey - the owner/installer was very friendly and took his time to explain and show his product offerings. He has carbon wrap, powder coat, offers tint and some other customizing options. Impeccable service as always at Speed Shield. I had a clear bra installed on my new Tesla about 3 months ago. This past weekend a piece of debris on the highway hit my hood which scratched the protective film and caused a small dent. Took it into Speed Shield, the were able to get the dent completely out with PDR and touched up the clear bra scratch with a little bit of paint. Seems that the clear bra completely absorbed the scratch and my car paint was spared. The clear bra is DEFINITELY worth the investment. I also had Nano tint done and it is incredible. I had my BMW done by these guys years ago, and while not the cheapest place, I knew I was paying for the experience and the quality. Fast forward to getting a new Audi, I had a satin wrap done by another installer since it was cheaper and closer to me - what a mistake that was. The edges were terrible, fitment wasn't great, and I wasn't happy even looking at it. I wanted to redo my window tint so I took it up to Trey and while I had it there I asked what they could do to salvage the hackjob done by a competitor. The wrap now looks flawless, couldn't really ask for any better. The window tint looks great and is a higher quality. Went to SpeedShield to get window tinting done on my car. They melted the window trim on my car and did what I believe was a poor tint job. They admitted to damaging the window trim of my car when I went to pick up my car after they completed their tint job, and they reimbursed me for the cost to have a dealership replace the damaged part. The window tint that they installed did not completely cover one of the windows, and there were numerous pieces of lint trapped between the window and the tint film. There was also a fingerprint on one of the front door panels, and long strips of unused window tint film left inside the car. I had another tint shop remove the tint film that Speed Shield installed. Speed Shield also reimbursed me for the cost of having the tint removed. When I was was at the other tint shop to have Speed Shield's tint removed, the workers there did an inspection with me to check for any damages prior to touching my car. We found several cuts on the window glass in long lines in the outline of the window tinting. When I showed Speed Shield these damages, they refused to acknowledge that they caused these damages and told me that their razor blades are not sharp enough to cut glass. However, no other person or business had any reason to take a razor blade to the windows of my car other than Speed Shield. Speed Shield did not pay for the window damage. The owner seems friendly and talks a good game, but for the price they charge, I did not find their quality of work very good at all. My place of employment often has cars tinted at a tinting school in Ft Worth, and those beginners did a better job of tinting cars than Speed Shield. I can't speak for their clear bra work, but given the poor quality of their tint installation and their refusal to acknowledge the other damage they did to my car, I do not recommend them. read more

When I went for the pick up Benny volunteered to remove a dealer sticker on the back bumper that I had forgotten about. Not only did Benny remove it right then and there, but also applied an additional coating of quartz to cover where the sticker had been. Took my truck here for clear bra and they jacked it all up. Had to take my truck back 4 times for them to fix it. They even removed a potion of the paint on one of my side view mirrors. It is simple. Trey installs the best clear bra\PPF and tint product in the best possible way. If you want a clear bra that doesn't show lines and have the money (yes, it is expensive), Trey is your guy. He can cover your entire car, but I usually just get the front 1/3. covered. He puts film over the entire panels so there are no lines and you can't even tell the film is there. And, he is meticulous about it - no bubbles, no streaks, no stretch marks, no lines. I've used PPF for a long time. I started with the pre-cut packages installed at a stereo store. I had fading. I had crooked lines. I had wax and dirt build up along the edges. I had bubbles. I recently had the front bumper, hood and fenders of my new Honda Accord wrapped with a clear bra by Trey and his partner in crime @ Speed Shield; I can't begin to convey how amazing the experience was! My family and I recently lost our home, cars and possessions during the tornado that devastated Rowlett Texas. The ordeal has been a complete nightmare from being under insured by $40k and not being able to rebuild, to not having enough cars in the household to be able to get us all to work. I was blessed enough to finally be able to acquire a new car and wanted to protect the front as much as possible. After reaching out to Speed Shield's competitors and either being quoted ridiculous rates for what is know to be inferior installations, I reached out to Trey and his crew and boy was I glad I did! The staff was beyond professional. They treated me like family to say the least. They were able fit me in the same day in-between cars worth 6 times more expensive than mine; my car nor I was every treated as such. Instead they treated my car and I with the up most. The sales presentation was not pushy, longwinded or conveyed any arrogance based on their reputation. The install itself was like watching a documentary on neurosurgery; the kind where the viewer recognizes they are witnessing a level of skill not typical for the field. Trey the owner is a complete pompous jerk and a rip off artist. Their prices are outrageous and the quality is average at best. I was quoted almost DOUBLE to wrap my car. I had gotten quotes from 4 other reputable wrap companies in Dallas and all were within $100-200 or each other. Trey and his BS company wanted to charge DOUBLE! Look elsewhere these guys are ripping people off. The other reviews mentioning the high prices are true. Don't be fooled and pay double like these people would hope you'd do. Trey is the real deal. There is a reason why you see so many exotics, rare and expensive cars here. You can protect just about any aspect of your car here. I got my Tesla wrapped in clear bra and you couldn't tell anything was on it, and it shined brighter than when it was brand new. About 2 weeks after I had it done, a large stick was thrown up by a passing car and hit my driver side door in 2 spots. It tore the clear bra in two places, each about 4-5 inches long. The impact was enough to cause about 3-4 small dents in my aluminum door. I had the body shop peel off the clear bra, and it had saved the paint. No repaint necessary. Just popped the dents out and put a new clear bra on it. So it's already helped pay for a portion of the original install price. He also tinted every window in my car with photosync tint, and it takes nothing to cool down my car on the hottest of Texas days. I can't recommend this shop highly enough. He'll be protecting my vehicles for many years to come. read more
