I'd done lengthy, months long research on where I could get my vehicle re-tinted and decided on getting it done with Alta Mere. Scheduling my appointment was smooth and I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to book an appointment the same week. The day of my appointment i was helped by Emma who had excellent customer service. Emma thoroughly explained the tint levels, results and pricing and lastly let me know of the lifetime warranty on the tint which i was pleased about. Unfortunately, I was unable to get all windows tinted because I was unaware one of my passenger windows no longer rolled down but Emma advised they would gladly tint it once I got it fixed and they did just that. So now all my windows are tinted and weeks later I noticed an area on my back window was peeling and bubbling; I allowed the recommend time to pass to see if it would fix itself but when it didn't i called back and set an appointment right away to have the spot looked over. During my time there Elmer asisted me and he also had excellent customer service, he came out and looked at my car and explained a plastic piece located on my back window cause the tint to push back but they would get me right and redo it. When my vehicle was done, Elmer explained they worked the plastic in a way to ensure it doesn't mess my back window tint up again. I admittedly was not thrilled about having to go back a third time but everyone i interacted with was kind, they were happy to assist me and I really appreciated how they made it so my tint would hold up on my back window. I went to Alta Mere for after-market tinting on my new RAV4 Prime PHEV. I chose them because of positive user reviews, evidence of responsive management, and customer photos showing that they're used to dealing with cars even more expensive and precious than mine. My overall experience was excellent. I wrote ahead to get an estimate, and Sean responded with a detailed quote, and advice for expediting service (appointments welcome, but call ahead for real-time availability). I brought my car in on a Saturday morning, and it was finished just a few hours later. I didn't really know what style and darkness to pick, but Alta Mere talked me through the options. I chose the premium ceramic tinting, and was not disappointed. It feels incredibly cooler inside, and a UV detector key fob shows that it's almost completely curtailing UV radiation (my main concern, due to family history of skin cancer). It also looks slick and luxurious from the outside, and my night vision is still surprisingly clear. Something worth noting is that my car did experience a collateral issue during the tinting installation. These kinds of things are rare, but statistically inevitable, and it was just my bad luck that it happened to me. But what really matters, is the way Alta Mere handled the issue. They immediately took ownership of the problem, and made arrangements with a business partner to address it. At no point did they argue or dispute the problem, but instead treated me like a VIP with a Lotus (instead of just some guy with a Toyota). They also accommodated my busy schedule, ensuring that the follow-up work was completed in a single day. And they made sure that the owner of the partner business was personally available to supervise the work. When my car finally returned, it looked better-than-new --- which is great, because it was less than a week old when I first brought it to Alta Mere. So, to summarize: Alta Mere ultimately exceeded my expectations, in surprising ways. While the collateral issue was initially frustrating, unexpected problems are a part of life. What matters is how we deal with them. If the same thing had happened to me at a big-box national chain, I don't think I would have been taken care of like Alta Mere took care of me. I like their presentation they do in their waiting room which allows you to visualize the product and see the difference once the tint is on.
