Don't use these guys unless you want stuff stolen out of your car. They took my parking access pass from my center console and denied taking it afterwards, stating they "wouldn't have any reason to be around the center console while tinting," Is that so? Then why did I find a straw in my center console....even though I don't eat or drink in my car? I had to purchase a new parking card. And then they have the nerve to ask me bring my car back for future service because of how well-maintained it is. Yah right. The work is fine; but I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. I bought a tinting package from one of the promotional emails offered online. I called for an appointment and was given one a few days later for a Monday. I got a reminder call on Friday. Called in for a quote, no existing tint (clean glass) and was quoted $849.00 for 3 pieces of glass (2 Door coupe and a hatch back style glass). Called another window tint company and they are currently doing it for $55.00. Seems like price gouging to me. read more

I bought a certificate for Window Tinting through Living Social. I went to the site to get the appointment and spoke to the manager. He went to inspect my car and set the appointment. The following Saturday I went to the location for the job to be complete. I handed the certificate to the same manager he looked at my car and I then left for 3 hours. I return and the manager said I have a bill of $108.00 for labor and tax. He said it was $100 for striping the already pealing old tint. I advised him it does not say anything about that on the certificate or their web site. The car was being held hostage and cannot leave without payment. I paid the amount and I learned the BBB has other complainants against them at other locations...Dallas, Garland, Carrollton, Addison. After filing with the BBB Moon Shadow then and ONLY then put it on their web site and has NOT answered the complainant to the BBB.This site much like the BBB its only a tool to assist consumers to make informed decisions. If I could give zero stars I would. This company is shady at best! I purchased an Amazon deal for window tint for $160, which is a great deal. I scheduled an appointment for a Monday and showed up 30 minutes before my appointment. The guy behind the counter acted like I was inconveniencing him when I walked in. I told him I had an appointment and he fumbled through a 25 cent wire composition folder for his hand written notes (that should have been my first clue). He asked a second time if I had an appointment, and I looked around the business (no one was there!) and I had to point to HIS chicken scratch for my name. He asked me what type of car I had (he had already asked me this over the phone), and then asked if I had Bluetooth and GPS in my car and I said yes. He immediately tried to tell me that I couldn't use my Amazon deal and it would cost another $100 for my car, or downgrade to an inferior product (load of crap!). I asked him the regular pricee of his product, and he mumbled on for 2 minutes about nothing, and still didn't know the retail cost! i finally had to break it down for him and aske him " If I walk in off the street, how much would you charge to tint my windows". First off, the GPS antenna resides on the outside of ALL cars so and RF signal is not compromised by a moving vehicle made of metal that receives radio frequency 24/7. That is a gimmick to get customers to spend more money. I am an RF engineer and I could go on and on about this shenanigans, but let's get back to MoonShadow. The guy carelessly takes his pen and taps on the wall where he had the different tints. When I pressed him on the difference between the three, he didn't know his products at all. His only response was take it or leave it. Really???? I told him that he should have asked me that over the phone when I scheduled the appointment, and should have a * on the advertisement that cost may be higher due to electronics in newer vehichles. The kicker was his attitude that he just didn't care.. I will say that I drive a luxury vehichle and I don't mind paying for quality products or services. I do hate it when people make the assumption that you are stupid and will pay any price for a product or service because you like mice things. The end result is that I walked out and called Amazon for a refund. I them turned around and purchased another Amazon deal for the same cost with a reputable and knowledgable company! Don't do business with people who don't know there product/business and doesn't care about its customers. read more
