Let me start by saying 90% of my reviews are 4-5 stars and being a small business owner myself I try to be as understanding and forgiving as I can possibly be with my fellow small business owners. Let me start with the good - The bed liner looks awesome and made my older vehicle with faded plastic panels look almost brand new. I get lots of compliments on this bedliner and my guess is that it will hold up and look good for years to come. My judgement is that this is a great product. My issues with Line-X were all concerning the customer experience. Any 4 or 5 of these by themselves would not even cause me to write a negative review but when the total gets to 10+ and I'm paying NOT a small amount of money for the job, at some point I need to give voice to my experience. 1) I made an appointment to meet someone and get an in-person bid in July 2020. I met with someone and was told I'd have a quote within a week. After waiting a couple of weeks, I reached out several times asking for the person and was eventually told the guy who did my walk through got transferred to another store and so I made an appointment to go up there and get a new quote. I can understand. Things happen. So I made the 1.5hr round trip back up there to try again. 2) The work took longer than expected but again, no problem. I was told 2-3 days and it was 10+ days but hey there's a pandemic. People are short-staffed, etc. Let's have some grace with everyone. 3) The owner texted to confirm that it was done and ready for pick up on a Friday. I called up there on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 the day of pick-up just to confirm that everything was ready to go and explained I was going to be driving 1.5hr round trip from Austin (for the 4th time) so please put eyeballs on the car and confirm everything is 100% complete which they confirmed. I loaded up the wife and two kids and headed out on a Saturday to pick up the vehicle. When I got there, the guy who met us was the guy who had been transferred to another store. I guess he got transferred back? Maybe. It's possible I guess. 4) I quickly noticed a bunch of interior plastic panels and parts in a box in the cargo area that hadn't been put back on the vehicle. Not a big deal. Somebody just missed it. I explained that I'll take my family to lunch and return in an hour. 5) I also pointed out at that time a bunch of black overspray on the body of the vehicle. He said he would try to get the overspray off and started wiping it with a rag which had some kind of solvent on it I guess. Dude looked pretty stoned by the way which I have no problem with but maybe do that when you are working on your own car and not mine. When I returned everything looked acceptable (although not what I was expecting for $2,250) and I needed to get back to Austin so off we go! 6) On the way home driving S. on Mopac I could hear a faint noise *bup-bup-bup-bup-bup-bup-bup-bup-bup-bup-bup-bup* coming from the front left fender. The front wheel well area had become detached and was rubbing against the tire which caused significant damage to the wheel well. The clips were gone. I had some zip ties on hand so I rigged it up as best I could for a temporary fix. 7) I looked under the car to inspect the rest of the body clips and quickly realized they had only reinstalled about 80% of the panel clips around the vehicle. I personally have installed and replaced body clips on this vehicle so I'm pretty sure it wasn't like this when I dropped it off but even if it was I would think they would re-install the paneling without skipping clips. At this point, I was pretty frustrated and didn't want to waste any more time dealing with Line-X, driving 1.5hr round trip, etc. so I just accepted it and planned to deal with this myself. 8) After having the vehicle back for a while and seeing the passenger side body on a bright day, I noticed a big circular blemish on the passenger door where the guy had been wiping off the overspray the day I picked it up. Now every time I look at this door I notice this really annoying spot on the clear coat of an otherwise pristine and heavily upgraded vehicle. 9) I eventually got around to contacting Line-X in Jan 2021 because I had major surgery in October and a baby in December 2020. I believe the final straw that put me over the edge was when I got a quote for $200 to replace the plastic wheel well part. I wanted someone up there to know about my experience. I was told there was a new GM since November and "that we will do what we can do (to) make it right". I told him I wasn't interested in driving all the way back up there and I sent them photos of the damage instead. Tyler reached back out to me later in January and said that he would personally come by my house to look at the vehicle but never did. 10) Finally, I noticed there were some more missing interior body pieces from when they removed the door handles and I had to spend an hour at the junkyard to hunt down replacements. read more

From the shop owner to the office manager everyone we met with was extremely professional and friendly! Honestly, if i could I would give them more than 5 stars! The customer service is out of this world and the best I've received when it comes to vehicles. I had been there before to have a few badges for my truck coated so I knew i was going to return there for one reason or another! Never thought it would be due to an accident in my truck. This business doesn't seem to stand behind its work or word. Buyer beware of purchasing from this location. Warranty work was done on a winch that they were paid for and never fixed the unit after admitting the work was done but we have no paperwork to prove or show it was done. When asked why aren't you standing behind the faulty work QUOTE " This was done before my time and we are not a repair shop". After years of business and referrals this place revives a ZERO as far as customers concerns or service. Very disappointing that a local business acts or treats loyal customers this way. read more

Every truck I've had has had a dealer spray in liner. With the premiums all these dealers are charging they wanted $850 for what seemed like a basic spray in. Nope. There are better, more honest service providers out there. I recommend you don't settle for what passes for business as usual with these guys. I've used them twice and left feeling like I was taken advantage of both times. They may/may not do a quality job. I don't think I've actually had a problem with the work they've done for me. Both times, though, they misrepresented what was going to happen resulting in me overpaying. The first time was getting my jeep lined. I was shown standard prices but then told that they may not apply as I was doing a Jeep instead of a truck bed. No problem. I brought the Jeep there for inspection and given guidance on what I should expect. When I came back to pick it up, I was brought into the GMs office to settle up. I knew immediately these guys were aggressive as the big white board on his wall had a big grid on it titled 'Show Me the Money' with a list of all of their employees and tracking their sales success. Again, no problem necessarily. I don't have a problem with sales or commissions...unless it leads to shady, oversold products and services. Once I sat down, he started explaining to me why my Jeep was different than they initial quoted and how it was going to cost more. I wound up spending several hundreds more for that lining AND told that they wouldn't affix the Line-X sticker on it for warranty coverage. It's not a truck bed, you know. ;-) I didn't love the experience but was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I decided to take things as they explained. Fast forward and I needed to do my first service (50 hr) on my Cub Cadet zero turn mower. It turns out these guys are a certified sales/service shop for Cub Cadet so I thought I'd give them another shot. I just needed fluids changed and blades sharpened. I was quoted $200. I brought the unit to the shop. When I came back a week and a half later I was charged more than double ($425). The reason, they said, is that my carb had build up and needed cleaning. They also said that one of my blades was bent so they went ahead and replaced all three. Keep in mind that this is a newish mower on its first servicing. There is no way my carb needed that cleaning. I was also never contacted about these problems or added services. They just did it and expected me to pay. Even IF one of the blades was bent, why replace all three? When I asked why they didn't call for approval, they indicated that the paperwork I signed when dropping it off gave them the authority to go ahead and make whatever repairs they felt were needed. Dirty. I don't really believe what they said but if true, it is still a super shady way of doing business. Again, there is plenty of money to be made honestly in the sales, servicing, and repairs business. It's people and policies like these that screw things up for everyone else. There just is no good reason to rip people off. For myself, I will not give these guys a third chance. Again, I recommend that you steer clear. read more

There are no words for how awesome these guy's are and at what they do. I wish I could give a 10 star rating. Tyler the owner and cliff the shop manager do it right with the upmost pride , integrity and attention to detail whether the project is small or big. These guys went the extra mile on everything I had done and I have been here twice on two separate occasions with some pretty big alterations and they killed it both times. Just had my Colorado's bed sprayed with Line-X. Tyler was great and got me in quickly. I decided to wait at shop but was offered a ride home if needed. I was able to do some work on my laptop while I waited. The lining itself took 2 hours almost on the dot. I requested that my bed plugs not be coated just in case I wanted to use the GM modular tie downs in the future, they got everything coated minus the plugs very nicely! I drove from central Austin to Leander and it was worth the drive. Clean shop, nice waiting area and awesome bedliner. Would recommend Tyler and crew 100% to anyone wanting a line X bedliner. A+++ service and work!! These guys are the best in town. I had my truck bed lined and oval step bars installed. The quality is amazing. I also have a bakflip bed cover on my truck (not from them) that has the latching mechanism missing. I called before my oval step bar install appointment and told them about it and they were going to order the part and install it for me at the same time. Cliff calls me back a day later and tells me they found the part from a demo and would give it to me at no charge, just install fee. Outstanding! While attempting to fix it, they let me know it wasn't going to fix the issue without making it look like crap but they would do it if I wanted. I decided not to mess with it. Even though they didn't want to make it worse they gave me the parts anyway at no cost and told me I could try if I wanted. What company does that for people anymore? Linex Of Austin does.
