Called in a pizza to go, heard from a friend they were good, so we decided to try. Never again! Half & half was not as ordered, had mushrooms on most of the pizza, not just half, very little pepperoni on the other half, toppings were more than an inch from edge including the cheese, and the crust around the edge was cooked so much it was hard to eat. Very disappointed. 1st time we ever got to go, usually eat in but not pizza. Suggestion to cut it half and half so each side is as ordered. read more

Went here with friends on a Saturday evening. We were all very disappointed with our meals. I had the mahi-mahi it was tasteless. The baked potatoes were so dried out they must have been in the oven for hours. The sour cream came in a tiny prepackaged tube and there was barely enough for half a dried out potato. My husband had a chicken Ceaser salad, the grilled chicken was way over cooked. My friend had the shrimp. They were over cooked and so salty she could barely eat them. I ordered my house salad with ranch dressing. It was without a doubt the worst ranch dressing I've ever eaten. It was way too tangy. The service was mediocre at best. No one came to the table after delivering the food. We paid over 60$ for the mahi and ceaser salad. It was beyond over priced. Needless to say we will not be returning. read more

The stuffed mushrooms are yum! Friendly staff, cozy covered booths make you wish they also had privacy curtains, maybe to retain some warmth it was a bit chilly, left my coat on nearly the whole time. Vegetarian wife ordered the white pizza and LOVED IT, "she's very happy to know where to find one for future trips " I ordered pizza too, sausage, jalapeño and mushrooms. Way too many jalapeños! We have been frequenting Lindy's for over 35 years and several owners. In the last 5-6 years we have noticed a definite decline in food quality and service. The quality of the steak has deteriorated, same for fried shrimp, chicken in the burrito, fish dinners, etc., etc. We were regulars, not weekly, but consistent. No more! read more

I finally after all these years have to say it like it is! Ate here a couple weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon with two other couples I had prime rib sandwich I took two small bites and I was done and fed up with the mediocre and bad food they serve depending what you order My prime rib sandwich I know was from the prime rib they didn't sell Saturday It had a strong recooked reheated up flavor It was very very fatty! Covered with a bunch of cheese mushrooms and other stuff unidentifiable to hide the meat and TRY to make it taste better Burgers are always poorer quality beef I know I'm a farmer what good beef tastes like this isn't it! Tasteless dry ..... Steaks same experiences over the years IF I ever go back I'll only ever order two entrees spinach salad and Louisiana Stark salads they are usually pretty good Pizza ok over priced Deserts over priced but pretty good do love the peanut butter pie. We have gone here many times in the past. We always like their pizza as that's my wife and I's thing on a Friday night. However the last few times, when ordering a main dish the food was not that good. Prime rib was cold and the shrimp basket shrimp was so tiny it was all bread. I don't know what happened here but something has got to change for us to come back. read more

We did a carry out that sometimes does not deliver a freshly cooked food product. Also this was the first time we ordered from Lindy's. The Monte Cristo was too sweet and the cheese did not taste like Swiss that I expected. The potato app was dove very well. The potato was cooked well and the flavors were very good. The French Dip was a disaster. The meat was dry. It was butchered poorly, there was hard fat uneatable part of the sandwich. The au jus was bland. We will try them again. read more

By far one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I always order the Louisiana steak salad and it has not disappointed. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side but when there are a lot of people it never feels overly crowded. They do have an additional area that can be rented for parties and bar is separated from the dine in customers. read more

Usually a pretty good place to visit.. However, Thursday night had its issues. Good: -Shrimp tacos -Nice pour on the wine -Beer was frothy and cold Disappointing: -place matts with advertising we're stained with old pizza sauce. 2 out of 4 settings -utensils, wrapped nicely in a napkin with a paper band. However upon opening, the fork was encrusted in old food. 1 out of 2 settings -Cod basket, greasy "skimpy" fish, the fries were terrible. So, first time pizza "to go" was really good overall. Pizza however, was 15 minutes late (wife wasn't a fan of standing in small lobby) but probably best pizza in area. Came as ordered, with extra sauce as ordered, and the cracker crust held up even with the extra sauce and 20 minute drive home. Growing up in Chicago, my only question is who taught them to cut a Pizza? It was a 14 inch pizza cut in half, with a rectangle or 2, and then they quit. Hard to explain or understand what they were trying to accomplish with such a cut. Mushrooms appeared to be canned but they had good flavor so I didn't mind. Pepperoni had good flavor too. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had the displeasure of enduring. Made a reservation in advance for Thursday at 5:30. By 6:30 we had all been served two drink refills and a single undercooked doughy roll per person. While half the table was served and the rest of the food came out at a lack luster pace there was nothing positive to say about a single dish. The burger I ordered must have sat on the grill the entire 1.5 hours we waited for food. As inedible as that was I was unable to physically bite the patty and sent the dish back, assured it would come off the table and it did not. Accompanied by a swamped waitress with a piss poor attitude. Not only will we not be back I will be actively telling people to avoid this place. read more

We are locals to the area, dined here for many years and unfortunately there's not a lot left to like about Lindy's. I don't know if they changed ownership, if they can't get employees or what. The tacos here are inedible at best, absolutely disgusting. Baked potatoes have become more like rocks. This establishment isn't cheap, charging $20 for a plate of walleye that I could have cooked far better at home. Three times we've dined here within the last 2 months, and all three times one person in our party wasn't given their meal until all the others had finished their plates of food. It takes forever to get waited on, items often ignored that you've ordered. The floors are filthy, and at one point the front decking was collapsing (at least they replaced that). It's a shame to see such a local gem go down hill. read more

The food was a bit bland or over seasoned and was not as good as I remembered. The best thing was the chicken strips. The other items were so covered in seasoning that it was almost inedible. I would not recommend the place for anything more than the "bar" food stuff like strips and potato type things. The service was a bit lacking as well. Wifey, myself and the little puddin-pop girl decided to do it Up Fancy and all by making a pilgrimage to the legendary Lindys off M-62 Cassopolis. We had given this place a chance 5 years ago when the kids were younger and we were more tolerant of mediocre food and service back then. Lindys has been around for years and its loyal regulars have most likely become snow blind by the constant barrage of piss- pooriness, if that's a word. I believe this is a form of Stockholm syndrome where regulars are overwhelmed by the terrible and substandard food and service and come to believe it ok! It's all going to be ok. If we just keep coming back We can help them, and it's all gonna be ok! The joint was dead for 6pm on a Saturday night (first Red flag) We were seated promptly and our waitress was pleasant and quick to get our drinks and soup to our table fairly quickly. Our barcheese and toast were slow to arrive however. The tables around us filled up quickly and people were finishing their meals when our entrees arrived An hour after we were seated. The waitress apologized but as they say, you can't polish a turd. My medium rare prime rib looked like the meat had been carved off the carcas with a brush saw. The center was a little under a 1/2" thick. The outside was about 1" thick. Still grey in center. Medium-rare was, in their opinion, dark grey, overcooked, over seasoned, grisley carrion. As Alford Lord Tennyson once said "Tis Better to have loved and lost, then to have Uh... eaten a shitty hunk of overcooked beef sinew that "Meals on Wheels" would be embarrassed to serve. We were hoping they were able to redeem their past performance. But as they say in the glue factory... send it to Lindys! But I digress. I was unable to Ingest that tough, overcooked, Slab of shoe leather. I sent it back and the poor waitress returned asking if the manager had been to the table? No manager until the check came and her demeanor, or tone was almost sarcastic. "Sorry about the toast and cheese" she almost laughingly stated. "I took the Prime Rib off your bill so..." Then a big smile! It's as if she wanted us to thank her! Her lack of empathy or concern was almost embarrassing. Wont be back. Ever, too many options out their. They need a manager that gives a shit, a manager who is out their looking a that food and correcting mistakes. Mistakes happen, fein concern, just don't act like it's not important. We have been going to Lindy's off and on for the last 15 years. The food in my opinion was never that good. Last Wed. night we tried it again. Yuck!! I had the shrimp dinner with baked potato, eh. Shrimp was only ok for frozen shrimp, my potato came out plain with not even foil around it. It was cold! There was no presentation. Six shrimp, naked potato. My husband ordered the ribs that were ok. This place has gone nowhere but down since before the pandemic. The outside is in need of upkeep. The inside is the same as it is ever been. Way worn out. The bathrooms were gross dirty. They had unwrapped toothpicks sitting out in an open container. I think that is a health issue. Our waitress was nice enough although she could of cared why I didn't eat my potato. We won't return for quite some time. read more

Hubby ordered the special chicken parmigiana. It was ice cold, sent it back. version 2 was tepid at best. My chef salad, supposedly with ham and turkey , had one piece of meat and so many onions I'll need a bottle of tums. Worst meal ever at Lindys--won't be back for a long time. read more

No restaurant is perfect, but anyone who rates this place less than a 3 is grossly incorrect. I have eaten at Lindy's for years and had anything from burgers to prime rib, and never had a problem. Alright, now that we are back to trips up to the summer place, I gave this another shot. I am happy to say that the trip this time was worthwhile and the food greatly improved. Other than some luke warm soup (still tasty), things were very good and service was excellent over the holiday weekend. It seems that the Inn Between is still stealing customers, with their live music, etc., but I am happy to have the seat here. I had my post rehearsal dinner there, the food was great. So since I live near by, I thought it would be a good place to take my wife out for her birthday recently 1/12/20... Lindy's has good food but has always had the reputation for bad waiting service. After requesting multiple time to get a drink menu, 20 minutes later the annoyed young waitress brought one over. Then we had ask for an appetizer and tried to flag them down while she deliberately ignored me from 4 ft away, the other waiter just sat at the bar the whole time. I have ate at quite a few restaurants in my lifetime, but never had a bad waiting experience like this. I doubt my family and I will ever go back. read more

We ate here on 4/10/2011 and have many times in the past over the last 16 years one of the few eateries in this are. We thought it might be a good place for Sunday dinner boy did we make a mistake it wasnt worth the 70.00 dollars that we spent for salads yes SALADS!!!!!
