It's always nice to see new restaurants in the area. This restaurant was formerly Columbo's Italian restaurant, which had a long history and great food. The reason for this note is because of their great reputation, people would make the trip to this location, on a busy S Main Street that is often under construction and isn't a great location. Went with coworkers for lunch and unfortunately the restaurant was empty at 12:30 pm. We each ordered the arepas at the counter and an empanada. They had chicken, chorizo, beef and pork arepas, all of our food was delicious. Their pastries and baked goods looked delicious but we didn't order any. One review mentioned the smell, there was an odor when you walked in. I wish them luck, this may be a difficult location to get the breakfast and lunch crowd, but I recommend that you give them a try. read more

My family and I stopped by this evening and had the Bandeja Paisa, chicken and cheese empanadas, arepas, and the colombian hamburger. The service was fast and friendly. We were surprised to find it empty because the food was excellent and flavorful. Definitely recommend a stop if you're in the Elkhart area! read more

Stopped in to try this place finally. The first thing I noticed was the smell of sewage or old, dirty mop water. The second observation was how empty the place was. Those things should've been enough to warn me, but we decided to order anyway. I was surprised at how the staff couldn't answer any questions we had regarding ingredients, and the lack of knowledge on when baked goods could be expected. Evidently, they are made somewhere else and just sold here. The two items we ordered took a shockingly long time to get out to us, and unfortunately didn't taste very good. My son has had stomach issues since eating the papa relleno he ordered. We won't be back. Next time I walk into a restaurant and it smells awful, I will just turn around and walk back out. We were surprised to see a Colombian restaurant open in Elkhart. We have an over abundance of Mexican options, but D'Colombia is as authentic as you can get. The food is amazing and tastes just like the food we ate in Medellin. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The bunuelos are the size of tennis balls. Empanadas are not all soggy with grease. Nice and light without the greasy mess. The arepas got a thumbs up from my son. The bandeja paisa was fantastic! We will, with 100% certainty be back. This bakery was amazing! The milhojas, empanadas and other baked items were wonderful! The pastries were delicate, light and very delicious.
