Horrible customer service. I had an appointment and ended up waiting 2 hours. I kept getting sent from one corner to another with my two small children, when I was finally called up to try on glasses the employee shouted at me and my kids to grab a tray and pick out my glasses. I just learned my sons glasses won't be ready for 6 weeks. I'm so disappointed with this service and will never be coming back here. read more

Linden Optometry has an amazing array of quality glasses, but the quality of in-person assistance is out of this world! Anny was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to make sure that I got the best frame fit. She also helped me correct a clerical error about when I am eligible for new glasses. Amazing service !!!! read more

Absolute worst service! Waited forever for my exam, was rushed through. Had to tell the optician that I wanted to see the final prescription before he shipped me out to the frames area. They said frames were I. Stick, never called to tell me that they were not. Go hung up on three times while on long holds. They postponed completion dates three times before I canceled my order. Will never go there again. read more

Very poor at communicating with their customers, and they make promises they don't keep. I'm very disappointed with my interaction today. The Lab Manager just agreed that what they did was unacceptable, but made no effort to fix it. read more

ANNY IS THE BEST!!!!! She is always so helpful and quick to address the next person waiting.

We have been coming to Linden Optometry for over 10 years. All of the Optomitrists are stellar. Dr. Lindon is great with kids. Always a wonderful selection of eye glasses and sun glasses. Stewart helped us through the whole process, answered every question with patience and expertise. We are so grateful to partner with such a first class organization full of excellent Optometrists and Associates that care about all the details that are so important. We look forward to returning next year to do it all again. read more

Trying for a week now to schedule an appointment. First I used the online appointment request feature that they prominently advertise on their site. Never received anything back. Then I tried to call them to schedule... no answer. Taking my business elsewhere. I used to go to this place throughout my childhood but it's just gotten worse since. read more

We have been going to this place since early 90s and this place always have a good service but since our last visit on December 27 and we have ordered my sons replacement eyeglasses up to now they don't have status on my son's eyeglasses. We keep calling and no one call us back. This place needs to update there computer system. 21st century computer age and in regards when you call they should able to tell you if the glasses already came in by just inputting the patients information. In other words there customer service SUCKS! read more

It is during difficult times that you see who the people that claim to help really are. This place was recommended by a local organization helping families get affordable eye care for kids. Now this company was happy to make an appointment but not inform the family that they would not take their insurance until after services were rendered. Turns out their child needed glasses, well they were charged $500. This is not how you help families, especially during these times when they need more help than ever. It still does not end here. The family went in on June 4th and was told that they would be contacted when glasses were ready within two weeks. June 24th, the family called and were told oh yeah, we forgot. They went there received the glasses they didn't fit, you need a separate appointment to adjust and cannot be scheduled at the time you pick up. To avoid having this family miss two days of work a lady by the name Elena was kind enough to adjust them. Well, today is June 26th the family needed to have the glasses adjusted as they have given this child a blister. The earliest they will see the child is July 22nd. I am taking this family to another location where the team there was willing to accommodate the parents so that they would not have to miss work again and adjust the glasses. read more

This place is a complete waste of time. First of all, you can make appointment (and they're actually pretty good at confirming via text and email).. but that's pretty much the end of the good part. This place is always packed and they ALWAYS run late. You will end up waiting for HOURS even with a confirmed appointment. What's the point of having an appointment if you can't keep it within a reasonable time? MY TIME is just as valuable as your eye doctors. On top of that, the waiting area is cramped and it gets extremely annoying when you're surrounded by screaming little kids with a smart phone from their parents that has some kiddie songs on a loop. I really don't need to listen to what animals Old MacDonald had in his farm for a thousand times. In addition, you'll never see the same eye doctor. It feels very much like an urgent care center or a community clinic where you just get to see whoever is available. I saw a different doctor on each of my follow up visit and each one of them had to spend at least 5 mins to figure out why the last doctor did certain things. And one of them even asked me why the last doctor modified my prescription.. ummm maybe because I couldn't see? smh read more

Wow!! Anny is a magician when it comes to glasses! She added rubber tips to my frames because they kept slipping off me when I sweat working on my yard . read more

Linden Optometry - Optometrists Near Me - Pasadena, California

Warning: They charge you $25 if you miss your follow up appointment by more than 15 minutes. They don't tell you this upfront. I found this out after calling them out of courtesy to let them know I was going to be 10 minutes late due to traffic. While I understand their reasons for doing so, it feels very dishonest and unfair, especially for a 1st time patient. I was going to write a positive review (the doctor was great and helped treat my problem on the spot), but the sneaky $25 fee makes me feel like I was cheated. read more

Just like everyone who complained, waiting time is horrible, worst service, call in to find out if prescription came in? On hold for 15 mins, ten someone else comes on and ask same question over again. Left message for them to call me back, no one did for 2 hours. I'm done with this place read more

I was shocked when I tried to make an appointment today for my son and was turned down. They asked what insurance he had, I told them Medical. When they said they didn't take Medical, I said I would pay cash but they refused to see my son. Why are we being penalized for having Medical and not being allowed to pay cash? read more

Linden Optometry isnt such a bad place to go to if you've got an awesome insurance like mines. I ended up paying less than a hundred when my total should have been 1000 (: give or take, thats a pretty awesome discount. However, Linden shouldnt take the credit for it is my insurance that made my D&G and Gucci glasses reachable. However like many people have rant about the horrible customer service. I for one received a very smooth customer service, everyone was very helpful and informative so for that i give them 1 STAR. On top of that, there was this amazing dude name Jason, super helpful, honest and not commercially trying to sell any prescription Linden could come up with. He helped me with my glasses, and an easy access to get around the block through the parking lot , so for that i give him 1 STAR. My Doctor was too funny and not boring for her age, and very charismatic. She made me feel like i've been going to Linden since i was 3 years old. So for that i give her 1 STAR! Which totals up to 3 STARS for Linden.. :D Well some of you might come to ask why i couldn't just settle to give them 5 STARS.. Well, as i was looking for my helper person name Jason, before i had found him, i asked this short obnoxious lady where Dr.Jason was.. And i didnt know that Jason wasnt a DOCTOR until she had humuliated me infront of everyone talking at the top of her lungs saying "JASON IS NOTT A DOCTOR! hahahahah" she goes and giggles. Well that booted of 2 stars Because seriously, how the fuck was i supposed to know that he wasn't a Doctor?? And he helped me so much more than anyone in there so he might as well be. And my Optometrist was wearing that white cape thing and Jason was too. i dont mind her baffle to me, i was humiliated and maybe Jason was too. so 2 humiliated people because of some straight narrow minded short lady equals to 2 booted of STARS. And guess what!!, im coming back tomorrow as my 2nd visit to get my dilations done.. We'll see if i change my mind about the A-OK. read more

This is honestly the worst place to get your glasses and lenses. Customer service here is horrific. Been here multiple times in the past month and they still cannot get the prescription right. Again with Lilian...I'm here right now (10/28/2020) at Linden, this person has no customer service and unprofessional!!! I am here for adjustment for my previous glasses that I purchase from the store and buy a new one . I'm beginning to hate coming to the store. She start raising her voice again to me and she doesn't listen of what I'm saying. It is the same one on the phone and in person ( NO CUSTOMER SERVICE/UNPROFESSIONAL) We come all the way from San Bernardino and all you encounter is this person (Lilian). I would not recommend any of my family and friends to come, since this person is still here. I wonder how many people encounter her rudeness beside me. read more

I went back to Linden although I felt that there customer service was really bad but it was convenient. This time has to be the worst I had to wait over 7 weeks for my glasses to be made, they never called me to let me know that my glasses were ready, I called them week 5 and week 6 to find out that my glasses were not ready and no apology for the delay, the just blamed there bad customer service on Covid like all the bad businesses. read more

Extremely disappointing and rude personnel! Don't go there unless you really have no other choice. I paid a bill and keep receiving letters that I haven't. Been there three times, first time I paid, second time they said the letter was a mistake and I shouldn't have received it, third time they denied the payment. Already took me so much time trying to convince them that I have paid this freaking bill. Now I have to go there for the fourth time with the bank statement and still I am not sure they can handle this. read more

I was here today. I am very happy to experience a complete turnaround in your customer service skills. Staff were welcoming me with accommodating service. They were on top of all my treatment. Best of all I was out in 30 mins with my new set of new contact lenses. I sincerely appreciate your concern on my first review. Thank you for listening and understanding your customers. I still love going to Linden Optometry for years. P.S. The receptionist can do better in giving a natural smile. She did a 1/2 second, must do smile. Poor service, long wait times, and outdated equipment. Each appointment (the original and follow up) started more than 45 minutes past the actual appointment time. Not sure if they are understaffed or what. I was also told three different prices by the staff, to the point that the actual price i was paying for the exam was a surprise and 4x what I expected. Equipment looks like it has not been upgraded in 10years. Would highly recommend going somewhere else read more

Took a developmentally disabled client there for doctor's appt. We were stared at like we'd landed in Munchkinland. I'm fairly introverted. However the semi-confused gazes prompted me to say "HEY, HOW'S IT GOING?!?!" in an effort to snap them out of awkward hypnosis. And this was the staff. There seemed to be a lot of milling around by the staff behind the counter. Nothing wrong with that, but it seemed incredibly social, like they were catching up with each other as opposed to preparing for patients read more

Used to come here for my glasses. But with my last pair it all went down hill. I have a wide frame so I purchase designer glasses with the works. Super light lenses with anti glare and transitions. When I went to pick up a 4 days later, they told me they weren't ready. Had to come back another 4 days later,8 days to make glasses, never! One girl told me they didn't have lenses available for my prescription, but my past pair there wasn't a problem, oh wait they changed the prescription without asking me or notifying me. Where's my refund for changing to heavier lenses, nope let's not tell this guy and pocket his hard earned money. So with the new pair I asked them and they did refund me a portion but the fact they were going to sneak by me again bugged me big time. Go there for frames but get lenses somewhere else. Transitions were a rip off. Doesn't protect you from the sun, waste of money. Buyer beware, ask tons of questions or they will rip you off read more

I have been a customer for decades. My whole experience last year was NOT good tried to give it a pass anyway. This year (2023) was THE WORSE! The one star is for my actual eye doctor. He's the best and everything else is UNACCEPTABLE. Two days of calling hearing the phone pick up and women talking in the background to be hung up on. It's 3 weeks and my paid-in-full eyeglasses aren't ready, are now on backorder, not sure when they will be ready, and no one called to tell me. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Glasses are taking over a month unless you get basic. If you have insurance and still paying additional money (a lot of money) for eyeglasses beware that you won't get them in an acceptable amount of time and YOU will have to be the one to find out what is going on with your purchase. This location has really gone down the drain with customer service ......or maybe they are just selective with whom gets their great service, which should be everyone!!! Need I mention that when I went to get my eyes checked and new frames to employees were arguing aggressively and loudly amongst each other and no one even came to separate them and it was ongoing for a very long time. Clearly, whoever is managing this location now doesn't care about customer satisfaction! read more

DO NOT GO HERE I had the worse experience at this place. Dr Linded was in a rush and did not take the time to answer my questions. I waited 45 min with an appointment. I was told for my eye condition i was not able to wear glasses needed contact lens. I was so unhappy with this palce i paid for another exam to get a second opinion. I was able to wear glasses but Dr Lindedn office has already billed my Insurance for contact lens that i never recieved. They were able to reverse the charge but it was a hassel. The only good thing about this place is that they have all the designer frames. read more

I would have to say, I was getting very disappointed with the turnaround time for a recently purchased prescription pair of glasses. I had called in numerous times to check the status, and I received the same response across three weeks. I decided to stop by today to see if they were ready, and Anny S. Greeted me with a smile. She too saw the same status within the computer. However, she decided to check the tray to see if they in fact have finished the order. They did!!! She did an excellent job at fitting them to my face, and I was able to walk out with my glasses and a smile. Thank you Anny for not just relying on the notes within the computer. Will be back in the future. read more

Great place to waste time. Called last week. Set a 10 am appointment for today. Show up a few min early, no record of it. But they set me up for an 1130 appointment and have me wait. Well I've already driven to Pasadena so sure. Come 1215 still not called. Go and ask eta and find out I'm still not in the system. That I should of been given paperwork when I checked in. And since I didn't fill that out the last two hours have been wasted. Finally get my exam. Prescription shifted a little so go to order my same glasses again. Keep in mind glasses I got here. Just to be told they are no longer working with TAG. At which point the sales persons points me to the showroom and leaves for 10 minutes. So 3.5 hours to find out they can't help me read more

I have GOT to find a new place to get eye exams and contacts. I've been here for 2 1/2 hours and I've been abandoned at a desk for a contact fitting now for over 20 minutes....... ok they came to do the contacts. The only saving grace for this place is very very nice staff and great selection. But seriously 3 hours to get an eye exam and Contact's? Really? I always say that they are the Porto's of vision care. But Porto's is fast despite the long wait. Linden so so slow. Aargh. read more

Worse service. We ordered new frames in mid August 2020 and were told that it would take 2 weeks for the frames to arrive. It is now October and we still don't have them. We have called Linden 4x since the order and each time we were told they would check on the status and get back to us. We never received a callback so we would call them again. Today we were told that they received a shipment but have not opened all of the boxes and they would check and call us back. No call. Ridiculous and unacceptable!!! Last time we will order glasses from here. read more

Absolutely terrible service from the staff. I never even made it in the door. It took me 40 minutes to just give Crystal the information to check on coverage, needing to repeat several times. I received a callback the next day asking me to call them back and give them all the info again. The day of my appointment no one had called me back with the additional info requested. When I followed up, whoever I spoke to said crystal was out and had not written anything down nor taken my information down. I was asked to repeat everything again, needless to say, I cancelled my appointment and going to target of all places who seem to have it a lot more together than this place. RUN AS FAST FROM THIS UNSCRUPULOUS PLACE AS YOU CAN THEY WILL SUCK THE LIFE, TIME, AND MONEY OUT OF YOU!!! Service is worse than the DMV, and they rob you like a used car dealership. It was a great place and experience when it was Dr. Linden's, now that Dr. Lim Fat has bought it (keeping the reputable Linden name so patients think its the same operation), its about hustling patients. Day 1:I was just going in for a simple eye exam and replacement of my lenses on my current frames which turned into A NIGHTMARE. Eye exam was a adequate with a long wait even with an appointment. You sit around with the other cattle waiting while the staff is chatting. Its a new crew of sloppy looking doctors and staff. Of course they tried to sell me new frames for which I wasn't interested as mine were still in terrific condition. Then I thought I would just pay, leave them my frames so they can put in the new lenses, come back shortly and pick them up - NOPE! They told me I would have to come back in four days for my standard reading prescription lenses. Okay I was confused and annoyed as why something basic is so complicated for them, but I figured I have to come back to take care of my vision issue. They told me when I return it may take up to two hours. I live in OC and I was going to waste another 1/2 day to get a simple pair of reading glasses. I should have taken my prescription and ran then. Btw, they only give you a simple receipt with just the final total and not an itemized charges unless you ask for it-shady. Day 2: I called to make sure my lenses were in house, for which they said yes. Now that I am thinking about it, I don't know how they verified as they don't operate with a computer system. Return with my existing frames, take a number and wait with the cattle to get called. Drop off my frames, for which they tell me to come back in 1 3/4 hour. Returned at the designed time, and pulled another number to wait again. Technician shows up with a box opens it and says "your frames are broken". I was in shock for a bit and didn't exactly absorb what had happened. He said again "your frames are broken". No apologies, no we are sorries. They make it like its your fault and problem. Then Operating Manager Jacsia comes in and says "there is nothing we can do, you have to buy new frames". And there is the BAIT AND SWITCH!! I started contesting that I am not buying new frames that this is a SCAM!. They either from negligence or malicious intent destroyed my property so I would be forced to buy new frames from them. As I was irate and they didn't want the other customers to hear about their CON JOB, Jascia said she was "going an extra mile" with offering to replace my $380 Chanel frames with $57 Candies, which she said were valued at $200-lol, which means Linden jacks up frame prices. Its like taking a luxury car in for a basic repair, they destroy it and try to sell you an Kia for an overinflated price. She went to the back room and not to the shelves miraculously appearing with a cheap version of the same size, shape and similar color as my original frames within a few minutes with my prescriptions already in them. It was as if they already had that new pair that they were going to try to con me to pay ready to go. I was so exhausted from the experience that I took they crappy frames as I needed to them to read. What also seemed odd was she kept my broken Chanel frames. I went back a few minutes later to try to claim them as I don't trust them. They might try to repair them and sell them in their clearance room. They used to have carry Chanel frames but lost the contract. The incompetent manager Stewart Lim (maybe a relative of the new owner) couldn't seem to find them. Said he would mail them to me. Day 3: Seemed odd them not returning the frames and I didn't trust they would be mailed to me. I thought better go get them before they disappear. Rent a manager Stewart tried to snake out of returning my destroyed property claiming they were locked in Jascia's office, and he being the manager didn't have access to her office-ya sure. Instead of resolving the situation, he kept trying to run away. Why are broken frames considered so valuable that they had to be locked up. I wanted to get them back to show them to a professional to see if it was maliciously broken. After being in that hell hole for a few hours again, they gave me back my broken frames in exchange for returning the crappy replacements. Didn't automatically offer a refund on my lenses, I had to request it. I also asked for my paperwork there, which is hand written and not computerized. Why aren't they operating a computerized patient system-shady. When I mentioned all the negative YELP reviews, he chuckled. Customer Satisfaction not a priority for them. Went to a legitimate optometrist and had to pay for new frames. Reporting them to CA Board of Optometry and Dept Biz Affairs. read more

This place is huge! I came here with my brother who needed to get glasses. The good thing about this place is that you can go without an appointment, it's open 7 days a week and depending on your prescription your glasses can be made in only a few hours. With that said, I don't like this place. They make you feel like you're number and they're a factory just pushing out pair of glasses after pair of glasses. I personally prefer to go to a private practice where the selection may not be as large but the attention is there. If you're in a bind (like you're glasses broke) I would definitely say go to this place. But if you have the time, go elsewhere. read more
