We stopped here for a friend's birthday. It's definitely the little things that make a restaurant 5 stars. This places customer service is on point. Our water was never empty, our bread basket was always full, and we were asked multiple times how everything was. I ordered homemade pasta with meatballs. Everything was delicious. I have been to Limoncello Naples several times over the past few years, and it continues to be my go to Italian restaurant in Naples. It is a great go to spot for a nice night out during the week, and also my favorite place to bring friends who are visiting from out of town. The food is consistently excellent, the service is attentive, and the ambiance is exactly what you want for a great night out. The arancini are my go to appetizer. Perfectly crunchy with a really flavorful sauce. I always order the boscaiola ravioli, and it never disappoints. For dessert, the tiramisu is a must and my choice every time. They highly touted the homemade pastas which was just okay for me. I'm from NYC and am exposed to some of the best Italian food in the country so I may be more critical than most. Absolutely incredible - beyond our expectations. Lindsey was our server, and she treated us like old friends from the moment we sat down. She guided us through the entire experience, recommending the best appetizers, drinks, entrées, and dessert. She even upsold us on a few additions that truly elevated our meal - and we're so glad she did. As someone who used to serve myself, I especially appreciated the small details - like the food runners knowing exactly who ordered what without having to ask. That level of coordination and professionalism does not go unnoticed. To top it all off, we were presented with a shot of pistachio limoncello at the end of the evening, and it was absolutely delicious. What we ordered: short rib bruschetta, the appetizer special, soup of the day, Caesar salad, spicy margarita, lobster ravioli, lamb chops, veal special, espresso martinis, tiramisu martini, Americano, and semifreddo al torroncino. I've lived in North Naples since 2015 and visited Lemoncello for the first time. The parking lot was full upon arrival but was able to find a spot. It was two of us for dinner. We opened the door and were immediately greeted with loud live music. The hostess was wonderful as was our server. The music was a singer/s with back up music and it was most definitely on the louder side of normal. Hey, if that's what you like, go for it. Loud music and dining do not go together in my book except for New Year's Eve and weddings. Our server was excellent and there was a good crowd on hand for an early week night out for dinner. The floors, walls and ceiling are all hard surfaces so the sound bounces off with the music and the conversations from all the tables. My ears are sensitive so it was hard to hear and talk with my friend during dinner. At times I felt like we were yelling. My friend had the special which was pasta and scallops, I had the Chicken Parmesan and a Caesar Salad. Food was served promptly and our waitress was excellent checking up on us and keeping our wine glasses full. Caesar Salad was served on a large plate and enough for 2 so we split the salad. Soon after our entrees were presented and they both looked very appetizing. Now, I measure an Italian restaurant by their Chicken Parm. I've done this for the past upteen years. It was a single cutlet, on the thick and chewy side. It was not deep fried but sautéed served with a layer of mozzarella Cheese and your choice of pasta as a side. On a scale of 1 to 5 I rate it a solid 3. The chicken could have been more tender, perhaps flattened down a bit and tenderized, but it presented very well. The pasta was firm and the sauce was very tasty. My friend loved his pasta seafood special. We both agreed after straining our voices for over an hour the music is just too loud for our tastes however there were some people dancing. Looking around the dining room the loud music did not seem to bother people much at all. It comes down to what you like and where you want to be for dinner. This is not my kind of place but for the many people there they seem to enjoy it so for this reason I would suggest you try it, look at the wine selections, and the very solid menu and decide for yourself. For me, I would return because our server was excellent, our table was waiting for us (make a reservation), and would try something other than the Chicken Parm, but will also return with ear plugs. Loud music and dinner is not something I enjoy. Had we known, we would have looked elsewhere for dinner. read more

I was looking forward to visiting Limoncello for the first time even though I live less than two miles away. I experienced joy, surprises and disappointment. My reservation was 6:45 and, fortunately, I arrived early as the parking lot was completely filled. I joined in the circle game with other cars and finally was the first in line as a couple backed out. So, go early enough to allow time to find a parking spot. I was seated immediately. As a single, I was at a small table in the back. As I watched other tables being served, I was not approached for almost 10 minutes. They were very busy but that did feel like a long time. Their bread is good and their special butter is outstanding. I ordered the Ravioli de Vitello. The sauce was excellent as was the filling but the ravioli was severely undercooked and very chewy. Think warm Twizzlers. That was very disappointing as everything thing else was so good. I explained to a server, not as a complaint as much as an observation for improvement. I decided to try the tiramisu and it was good. Not the best I've had but a 7/10. The restaurant is very busy so obviously succeeding more than not. I was disappointed and with so many fine restaurants, it might be some time before I try them again. No concession was offered for an undercooked meal, and, while not asked for nor necessary, it might have gone a long way in my feeling better about their care for fine service and food and a return visit. read more

During a road trip up an down the west coast of Florida, we stumbled into Limoncello and can never look back. This is the quintessential local Italian restaurant, and we wish we lived closer to it so we could become regulars! It was a Sunday evening just before 5pm and we lucked out with three seats at the bar because they were booked up with reservations. The bartender was such a character and really made us feel at home, offering drink recommendations and food suggestions. We started with some wine and beer, as well as the Zucchini Flower appetizer special (which sold out in the hour we were there, so we were extra lucky to experience those tasty delights!). There was an "Early Dining" menu through 5:30pm, and we got a salad and entree for $26, which is an incredible deal. Everything on the main menu and the early dining menu looked amazing, so we opted for different things across the board...I had the Chicken Parm (huge portion and excellent sauce), and my friends had the Bolognese and the Cod entrees, which they both also loved. While we were there, all the other people at the bar who were more regulars and locals came up and talked to us...they were so friendly and so excited to see each other and to be together. A pianist started preforming around 6pm and brought even more charm to this little hidden gem. We ended the meal with limoncello shots and already cannot wait to find our way back to this restaurant! read more

We had an amazing first visit. Lindsay was our server and she was fantastic...incredibly attentive, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food and atmosphere made the whole experience even better. It was a bit loud at times. Best table is the last couple of tables past the bar if you want it quieter. Casual Dress. They have excellent gluten free choices and can substitute GF pasta for almost all the past a dishes. Will serve GF bread at your request. The butter served with it was addictively delicious. Both Panzanella di Positano and Insalata di Rucula e Fragole salads were perfect. Gnocchi al limone, Ravioli di Vitello, and Salmone alla Puttanesca were amazing! Greeted inside with perfectly-volumed and skilled solo guitarist at the bar. Live entertainment and you could hear yourself talk 5 feet away? I knew it was possible... Got penne alla vodka ( no mushrooms, no shrimp), spaghetti bolognese and a side of spaghetti marinara. The marinara makes me want to go back. Light, fresh tomato. Perfect salt level. Gorgeous!! But the alla vodka.... Whoa. This was magnificent. Never had better. You could pick out every element here: tomato, cream, cheese, aromatics.... Intense, light, addicting and velvety. This is the stuff you go home and try to recreate. In vain. The bolognese was hefty in portion, light in the stomach. It's my favorite... but this one wasn't, though it was meaty, tender, nicely seasoned. It was saucier ( wetter?) than I'm accustomed to, and not as rich. The tiny speckles of veg were tenderized for hours, but it was just a little more " meat sauce" to me than sticky, shiny Bolognese. Did I clean my plate? You betcha. Every piece of pasta I tried was infused with the sauce. Cooked perfectly. The flavors were bright. I still have sauce on my cheek and I'm dying to go back with my very particular kiddo, who vacuumed the vodka pasta. Rotten kid-- I wanted some of that. This restaurant has been on my list for years as we always drive by it and think it looks so beautiful! It was fantastic. Such a cute place, felt very italian. Our server was so knowledgable and excited to recommend lots of different dishes (she was super honest and we trusted her with everything we ordered and have no regrets!) There is always live music apparently and when we went there was an amazing singer - and what i loved about it was that the restaurant seems to have the volume of the live performances down to a science. I could hear her singing, but i could still have a conversation at our table without the music fully drowning all of us out. Everything we had was wonderful, but out of everything I highly recommend the homemade pappardelle with short rib ragu. If that dish was served to me in a NYC restaurant I'd be just as amazed by it. I must write this review immensely because every time my husband and I go their; we feel immediately like we are at a gorgeous Italian wedding with delicious food, beautiful ambiance, our Server Alex was so passionate and kind, professional and made us feel special. Genuinely special. The food he recommended, Lobster Ravioli with lobster on top was the most beautiful plate of food I have seen and beyond delicious. The Italian Wedding Soup was beyond expected along with the most beautiful Hostess visiting our table and all worked in such amazing precision that I wish we could rate it higher. We are local and have decided it is our favorite after living here for 5 years. Plus I must mention the beautiful, unique violin player so unique and the perfect surprise for a lovely evening. Wait staff informed me that only the penne was dry (without egg) and we were charged $3 additional dollars. The owner, Cosimo informed me of this on our way out. We went to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderful time! The service was amazing, the food was clearly made with the love of an Italian kitchen, and the musical entertainment was a very nice touch. The menu has the story of the couple who opened the restaurant in the front; I noticed a gentleman dressed differently than the rest of the staff who looked like the man in the photo. I asked if this was his place and ended up having a brief conversation with the owner. He was a very warm and energetic person and made us feel like we were in Italy for just a moment. It's unassuming from the front, in a strip mall off the highway. The location says it is gonna be average at best. Don't be fooled. Limoncello is certainly a diamond in the rough. If you're looking for authentic Italian dining, this is the place to go. My only words of caution: if the place is full, it is very loud. It doesn't change the taste of the food, but if you're someone who is turned off by that, it's a thing. There is outdoor seating, which solves that problem. The other thing I'd say is make a reservation. I'm glad we did. The place was full, there was a line at the door, and our reservation had us seated immediately. Atmosphere - Excellent! The restaurant is nicely decorated and the tables are spaced apart sufficiently to allow for some privacy. There was a very talented entertainer who strolled from room to room, table to table singing the 50s and early 60s classics. Service - Very Good! Our server was very pleasant and attentive. Food - Very Good. I will say that the menu was a little limited, but there were several entrees that I would be interested in ordering. My wife and I split the meatball appetizer. The meatballs were OK, but had a little more filling than I would have preferred. However the sauce (gravy to those who are Italian) was very good. I ordered the veal piccata with a side of pasta. The portion size was ample, the veal tender and the sauce was excellent. Also, I had a glass of wine and the pour was ample. Overall Value - Very Good. I love pasta and Italian food in general. Given the great atmosphere, quality food and very good service, you can't go wrong by dining here. I would absolutely return when I and back in the area. read more

The service was attentive and made nice recommendations from the wine list. Live music was just right, the singer was good with a lively performance and atmosphere throughout the place. We had a late lunch Saturday which worked out to try the early dining menu. I've had this spot in my list to cost for years and was charmed by the lemon decor and our wonderful waiter. We had an appetizer that was on the specials with scallops and mushrooms in a flavorful sauce. The house Pinot Grigio went well with it. Bread was refilled before empty and without asking, along with a nice water carafe for the table. Caesar salads were great and I enjoyed my tasty eggplant, leaving half to take home. My partner said his chicken parm was good but a bit rubbery. We finished with an espresso on, cappuccino and decadent limoncello cheesecake and two complementary shots of limoncello. I really want to give it 4.5 stars.. the food was very good. We were seated outside next to the door and that was why I took off a star. The traffic is noisy as well as the door constantly being open and closed next to us so a bit annoying. Our server though was great! Very attentive. The 3 of us each had a salad; 2 the insalata limoncello and 1 Cesare. They were very good. The bread service was delicious. Then we all 3 had bolognese which was delicious. Noodles were perfect and we loved the sauce. Husband had the old fashioned which of course is different than the Wisconsin old fashioned but was still solid. Mom and I had wine and it was good. I have been wanting to come here for years. I glanced at the reviews and frankly they are all over the place "the best" "the worst" ect. So I being a fair minded person will give the correct view. :) We had no reservations but they managed to seat us at a properly social distanced table. Our server Giuseppe greeted us poured water and dropped of the menus. This time of year they do not function with a full menu which will return in October. Mrs. K and I ordered the Limoncello salad with the house dressing. Perfect starter and tasted great. I ordered the Veal Marsala and Mrs. K. ordered the lemon chicken. Instead of the side of veggies we both opted for pasta which was served it the same sauce as our entrees. We both exchanged tastes and hers was every bit as good as mine. What sets this place apart? First our server Giuseppe was the ultimate old school profesional waiter.Water empty filled, needed a new soda brought to us, ran out of bread he brought more. Not us asking him he just did it right. Second the food was prepared to perfection. The sauce was not too heavy nor too light just perfect. Lastly it is old school Italian with the owner at the front of the house and of course there was a live singer singing all those great Italian songs.
