I came here for the first time because I was curious about the food. I reviewed the menu before arriving, so I decided on a burrito bowl. When I arrived it was just okay. It was kind of dimly lit inside, but the ordering station had lighting that was decent enough to see what I was ordering. I walked in and was not greeted, so I basically stated that I wanted to order a burrito bowl. The staff member looked at me opposed to directly asking what I wanted in the bowl. I started naming the usual items (rice, black beans, corn, salsa, peppers and onlons etc, but since they only had the chicken burrito bowl listed on the in-house menu, I stated that I only wanted a veggie bowl. The cashier at the other end of the station stated that veggie bowls are the same price as those with meat. He added that I could add some roasted vegetables instead. I never asked about pricing, but I guess I understood why he said it, but not how he said it. Everything here seems to be extra and by extra, I mean nickle and diming extra. The guacamole was almost $4.00 in addition to a bowl that was already almost $14.00, which is insane. The service was a no for me and was pretty much non-existent. However, the burrito bowl was unexpectedly exceptional. The flavors were impeccable. I was amazed from the first bite that the flavors exceeded my expectations. I only added salsa verde to the bowl and that was more than enough. I am used to Chipotle bowls in which the salad dressing/sauce always kicks up the flavor several notches, but Lima's bowl did not need anything because the flavors were already prominent and available in every bite. I am not interested in eating here again, but the taste of that burrito bowl might make me reconsider.

Delicious! I stopped in for a quick pick-up, and it was a great choice. The inside of the restaurant was just okay--pretty dated look. The service was friendly and efficient, and I'll definitely be back to try more dishes. The flavor was spot on, the meat was tender, and both the yellow and green sauces added an extra burst of flavor that really enhanced the meal. Perfect quick pick up and go!

bluf: lima's chicken offers Peruvian style dishes and combo meals reminiscent to a KFC (but much better). Lima's offers a pretty wide selection on their menu ranging from chicken options (dark/white meat, cut of the meat, etc) to burritos and other dishes. I usually opt for the combo meal because it feels like a great deal with tons of food (it's a whole chicken + 3 sides + a 2L soda which you can swap for a small side). The taste is awesome. I've been coming here for a while and I feel like the taste of the food has changed in the last 3 years or so. It's a bit different, but not necessarily in a bad way, so I can still recommend them for their yummy food. Their sit-down area is kind of fast-food like. There's not really any service involved after ordering your food, so it's not really a sit-down restaurant situation. They're also a good candidate for carry-out/doordash if that's what you're looking for. Love the spot and they also have a few locations scattered across the DMV area, which in my experience has varied in terms of flavor/experience, so just keep that in mind.

Overall- awesome food for the price, well-balanced and delicious food, great sauces, kind service, and a casual ambiance The chicken is always juicy, fresh, hot, and falling off the bone with excellent flavor. We love their fries, yucca fries, platanos, veggies, and fried rice. If I could purchase the green sauce by the gallon, I would. The napkins here can't handle the mess of the food, but it's a small price to pay for the quantity and quality you get for the price. This Lima's is one of our go-tos for dinner the past four years. (We've been to other Lima's and they aren't as good- one had completely different fries and green sauce.) We do take out or we eat in. I also love grabbing a Family Special or Lima's Special to bring to a family who just had a baby or might need a meal for something. The bathrooms are traditional- separated by men's and women's with multiple stalls in each.

I didn't go into this location so I will ask my husband more about it. However, I did have the food. Everything was good the chicken and rice. I did not enjoy the green beans so much but everyone's taste buds are different. I like my green beans to be a little bit more cooked and seasoned. My green beans were crunchy and bland so that's the only thing that I would recommend. The sauces were pretty good as well. I haven't been inside this place in years but I'm sure that it's still pretty clean and the customer service is good but I will have to follow up with my husband to get more information

Actually wanted to give 2 1/2 stars, so it is rounded up. We visited here several years back and since we were in the area, decided to stop in. It looks the same. The Peruvian chicken fragrance met us at the door, we were excited. The menu was posted and I ordered the chicken tacos, you get 3 double shells (about6") heated in a grill of sorts similar to a panini press. The young man added some chicken that was precut, no specific means of measurement. Then the toppings, displayed in a typical cooler case. Any toppings you want. At the end I asked for sour cream, ok, he ladeled out this white runny stuff, it had to be the sour cream that was diluted beyond recognition. A big minus there. You get Pico de Gallo sauce, I asked for it in a cup b/c a little goes a long way...upcharge of $0.75 . Their prices are very high! $10.95/ quarter chicken. My husband ordered the steak tacos, same delivery, the steak was chewy, but had good flavor. $2 more for steak. The tacos were too messy to pick up from the sour cream sauce, so we resorted to a knife and fork. I ended up breaking the fork trying to cut them up. Frustrated with the whole deal, to say the least. Good location, plenty of free parking. Paid $29 for this and a soft drink.

I love, love, love their flavors. Amazing, piquant, fresh. Especially the steamed veggies! I was sorely disappointed by how tiny my 1/4 chicken was today. In the past, a thigh- drumstick combo would be enough alone, without the veg. Today, it was the size of a Cornish Game Hen. Sad panda. The drive through is efficient & staff so friendly. I hope I'll get more chicken next time.

This is putrid. Me and my fiancé went to Limas for dinner. Sat down and noticed the place had roaches. when there is on there is more. Makes you wonder what's going on beyond the dining room. Hopefully the health department comes in and does an inspection. Not only the roaches, but the staff was rude toned and no smile to be found. Some of the kitchen staff was sitting up on the tables in the back where food is handled.

IMO, best Peruvian chicken closest to Columbia where I live. I haven't been here since Covid and my husband had a hankering so we came this evening for dinner. We ordered a half chicken which came with two sides ($11.95). We chose green beans and rice with black beans. I normally wouldn't choose green beans as I am particular how it's cooked. I like them more on the cooked side so it's not firm. Chicken was super moist so it must have been fresh. We only get chicken whenever we come here and have never been disappointed with the quality. We always leave happy.

A colleague of mine and I stopped in here for lunch while in the Jessup, MD area and wow am I glad we did. I got the 1/2 chicken meal with fried rice and green beans. The chicken was super flavorful and probably the tenderest and juiciest chicken I have ever had in my life. My coworker was generous enough to share some of his fried plantains with me and they were exceptional!! it looks like a fast food joint from the outside but the food sure isn't. excellent, excellent, excellent. Food is consistently tasty! A bit pricey in my opinion, but I will pay for quality. I would give it 5 stars if I could call ahead to place my order. Sometimes the wait is long for takeout. My go to entree is the Lomo Saltado - ask for extra of the yellow sauce. read more

I love the dark chicken meat they offering. You can choose to have all dark or white which is what I'm looking for. Very close to my house, and very fast service. I ordered the grilled shrimp with plantains and they were both delicious. Their Spicy green sauce tastes good on everything! The servings were so big I couldn't even finish my plate. I would have given the restaurant five stars if it wasn't for the Lady who took my order over the phone. She didn't sound very polite and when I got to the restaurant to pick up my food the staff seemed jittery and nervous. read more

Chicken, steak, burritos and the sauces. Everything else compliments the main dishes at Lima's chicken. If you want a charbroiled Chen dish come here. If you want a steak platter, come here. The side receive just as much attention such as the cilantro rice and plantains. The prices are good too. Started coming here for burritos instead of chipotle. Not a bad choice so far read more

This place is awesome, I'm here like twice a week sometimes, although my love for burritos and Peruvian "yellow sauce" has me really biased towards it automatically. I'm vegetarian and have never had issues having a good meal to go, with good customer service. Employees are always really friendly and professional and make sure customers are taken care of, even though I've seen at least one nit picky/aggravating customer that even I was getting annoyed with lol. If I come in and there are no veggie toppings, if there's not a lot of customers there they'll even go make extra just for me, as well as the time taken to joke and connect with customers when they're not super busy. I had an issue once with a Doordash order and the manager was super accommodating and took care of everything for me. Would definitely recommend this place, for both the delicious food and the people who work there. It's been overall a positive experience for me and my go to place when I want take out, because even though I have to get out of my car and walk in, they're very efficient and I have never waited a long time in line. read more

Once again I wonder why I try. Completely out of vegetables during lunch with a minimum 15 wait. Only alternatives are potatoes and rice. Manager had no ability to explain why. About as bad as the times we go and they're out of chicken...at a Peruvian chicken place. The only saving thing as that when they have food, it's good. 50/50 if they do though. read more

If you're military, this is the place to go. You can get 1/4 chicken and two very generous sides for less than $7. The food is decent, healthy, cheap, and fast. Not a destination restaurant, but great for a quick lunch or dinner. This is my #1 go to spot to eat. The food could be better: the chicken isn't as perfect as the other Peruvian place I visit in College Park, but that's a half hour drive away (if traffic isn't bad). It's just a little bit spongy instead of tender and juicy like it should be. The plantains are usually a little soggy and the vegetables just a little undercooked. But as long as your expectations are appropriate, you will be fine. read more

I love the chicken burritos here. I especially love that I can go through the drivethrough after a busy day and not have to cart my kids out to get quick service from delicious food. Love the cilantro rice as well. I go here 3-4 times a month and it's always the same consistent great flavor. Don't forget to try the sauces. So good. read more

This is probably my favorite lunch spot. I eat lunch here about twice a week. I love the steak burritos! Other items have been hit or miss. My coworkers like the rotisserie chicken, though I've never tried it personally. It Can be quite busy at lunchtime, so I tend to call ahead for carry out orders. read more

This was my first time eating Lima's and it won't be my last! Very flavorful lomo saltado; tender steak, yummy veggies & the rice was good especially with the sauce provided. The portions are good with very reasonable prices at this dine-in/take-out restaurant and I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys dishes with some spice! They serve tres leches cake by the slice (large pieces!) that is delicious, so save room for dessert. read more

I wanted so badly to love this place. The hotdog they gave in the kids meal was so oily, and the fries also had the oddest tasting oil to them. NOT HEALTHY FOR SMALL KIDS! And the chicken was dry, fried rice again oily oily oily, and veggies were yummiest part but also drenched in oil. Sadly, we won't go back and got a bad first impression of Peruvian food:( read more

I like the flame broiled meats these people serve up. I have tried most of the meats and they're all equally delicious well cooked and moist. It can seem pricey but I think it's appropriately priced. I appreciate that they have fried yucca as a side. The little sauces they have are both delicious. It looks unimpressive but it's always clean. As a matter of fact when it was a friendlys the bathroom always smelled revolting. But not anymore. It's very clean make it a point to eat here at least once a quarter. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch yesterday. He ordered the special (quarter chicken with salad and rice) and I ordered the Carne Asada. Both dishes were delicious. However, for some reason it took 45 minutes for me to get my order. By the time I received it, I had lost my appetite and took the food home. Went to the Lima's in Bowie on Sunday , which the time said that they closed at 9:00pm. I was there at 8:35 pm and the had already locked the door. Very poor staff just wanted to leave early and say " f" the customers. read more

My family loves Lima's Chicken! I always opt for the chicken bowl and my husband usually gets the chicken platter meal. We both love the food and eat their often. Best beans and rice around. The wait at the drive thru is a bit much but the food is consistently tasty. Sometimes it's just best to walk inside. The green beans are VERY waxy but the flavor is good. Everything else is good too. My son is the pickiest eater and he devoured the kids steak taco (once I removed the heap of sour cream) without a hint of complaining. I tasted it and it was very yummy!!! Since we love the half chicken with 2 sides and my kids will eat here, that means this place is a favorite go to. read more

The food was ok. My stomach isn't feeling it's best. Chicken was dry but the rice with cilantro was about all I really enjoyed. Oh, and don't bother using your "buy one entree and two drinks and get another entree free" coupon. All they do is take a few cents off each item. He said "sorry that's how it is in the system". We pretty much got a free drink in the end. Rip off. Don't think I'll go back. Hanover location. read more

You can't beat the amount of food you get for the price! The food is always on point and the staff is friendly! If you want to change an option for food, no problem, they are more than willing to work with you. The atmosphere is quiet enough and it can be easily found. Again, I can't stress enough how good the food and portion size is for your money! read more

Very disappointed what this business has become. Used to be awesome and very fast and now it seems like they charge for every LITTLE thing. If I want to have my sauce on the side because I know they always put too much on it they charge me now? So instead of your drenching my chicken bowl in sauce I have to pay extra to make sure I get the right amount? Also it used to be so fast and now it is ridiculously slow. It's like the men andwomen behind the counter don't even want to put any effort into getting the line moving. What happened Lima's? read more

Great chicken. There is only one type of chicken - roasted, but it tastes great. There is a good variety sides to select from and they taste good. Didn't use the drive-thru, went inside (so can't attest to drive-thru service). Inside the restaurant was clean and the customer service was great (real nice). Would recommend to others. read more

Staying near Arundel Mills Mall. Went in on Monday night at 6:30. Crowd was steady. They had the roaster loaded up with more chickens and kept alot of chicken in a hot box. Great chicken, it has a great taste that the lump charcoal imparts. Very juicy not dry at all. I ordered half a chicken with two sides, Cilantro rice and fried Yucca. We also ordered a plate of Lomo Saltado which is beef strips grilled with tomatoes and onions. It's served over rice and fries but they exchanged the fries for fried plantains. Chicken was $10 and beef was $13. Some of the best chicken I've eaten. read more

I had a greek salad with chicken. The salad was pretty good, but the chicken they added (for an additional $3+) was disgusting. A very small amount, with lots of fried skin and unidentifiable pieces. It looked like they were trying to use all the discarded pieces leftover from other meals. Certainly surprising with the many chickens they have visibly roasting in their oven. Not sure what the standard for customer service is at this place, but don't expect assistance unless you are aggressive and demand your place. Stood in line when a man came up next to me, quite close, and started ordering in an elevated voice, as if I wasn't even there. After trying to get my place back with the servers assistance, the server studiously averted his eyes, obviously to avoid any uncomfortable confrontation, and filled the man's order. Not one of the staff would meet my eyes or correct the situation. Seriously people? I can't understand what type of restaurant allows this to happen. I don't even want to guess why this happened. It was extremely awkward and I ended up walking out without food. read more

It's in my neighborhood, it's conveniently close, and more often than not, they get it right. Today wasn't one of those days. Pressed for time, I didn't feel like cooking and needed to get a meal for my Wife, who works overnight as a nurse. We decided to visit America's best, ordering three separate orders of food, totaled at $61. Midway through eating her 7 piece Honey Lemon Pepper Wings, my daughter noticed a piece of hair in the honey. To be honest, I gave my daughter my 5 piece and really didn't want to go back up to the America's best bc I was tired, and they were busy, and I didn't want to embarrass the establishment while they had a crowded house. But my Wife insisted a refund, so I obliged. I called first, and told them my issue. I was told that if I wanted a refund I would have to come back to the carry out so I did. When I got there, a female cook of Asian descent asked me to open the container to which I did. She said she couldn't see the hair, even though I pointed it out to her. She then asked the cashier if she could see the hair, to which she replied: Yes, but it's super small. As if that made it any less unsanitary. The cook then said, it must've come from you, and pointed to my 5 o'clock shadow for a beard! I was shocked & offended, for one bc I barely have a beard, that particular dish wasn't even my meal, and just the audacity to imply that I would do something as disgusting as placing hair in my food to get a refund. It was super insulting. Again, I'm at an age where I'm not going to be arguing with anyone publicly. Especially over a $14 meal. But I didn't inform her that I have much better things to do then be going back & forth about chicken. She then told me that I could not have a refund, but she would make me more food, which I told her earlier that the site of the hair turned my daughters stomach and she was no longer hungry. I accepted the replacement bc something is better than nothing & after a long work day, I just didn't have the energy to continue to fight, but man am I disappointed in the customer service, the lack of respect for regular patrons, and my overall experience. I'm sure it doesn't matter to them, but I will never visit this America's Best again, and it's not even because of the mistake bc mistakes happen. It's bc of how they made me feel. 0 stars.

I was there two days ago because I received the magazine clipper coupon and it was my first time buying at this restaurant. In the magazine had a coupon of $10 off for a purchase of $35 or more. Our purchase was more than $50 . When we were about to pay the cashier that was a man with tattoos told my husband that they were not receiving coupons , he didn't look at the date of expiration not even asked to see it . We asked why he said we are not receiving coupons at this time.We asked him that we wanted to speak with a manager and he said there no manager. We felt like they didn't care for what we think with a short attitude to answer from the cashier to us , is like they are promoting there restaurant and not honoring there coupons . My wife, who is Asian, bought a 2 piece chicken dinner for our son, who has Down's syndrome. The chicken was NOT fully cooked. In fact, it was virtually raw. When My wife returned the chicken, the cashier only gave my wife a $5 refund for a $9.00 meal. The employees were very rude to her. They were also listening to music with obscene lyrics; one employee was singing along. Overall, I recommend finding a more professionally operated business, unless you support racism. My wife is Korean; she was treated disrespectfully and mocked by two employees. At least you can get a good deal on RAW chicken and RACISM. read more

Food tastes great been here a couple times but today my wife found a roach in her food. Talked to a guy with a dyed pony tail man bun, Asked for the manager, he said she was busy. I showed him the roach and he showed it to another worker, then threw it away and went back to work. Manager never came out. We threw our remaing food away and we left. I thought this would be a regular spot to eat at. We spend 80- 100 dollars here for a family of 5. Never again! Beware read more

Hanover Maryland location 2641 Annapolis Rd Hanover, MD 21076 This location has horrible service!! I placed an phone order for pickup and when arrived 10 minutes later the food was not ready. Limas Chicken is one of my favorite places to eat out at/ carry out. I dont live In hanover but here often for work and very excited to have one close by! The chicken is just delicious. All the food is fresh, not greasy, and bursting with flavor. The new place is very comfortable and nice. Everyone must try- you wont be dissapointed!!
