I really enjoyed my time at Limani celebrating my sister's birthday! The restaurant oversees the waterfront, so there are spectacular views when dining in. A couple of us chose the prefix lunch menu, so for mine, I started with calamari, which was enough for the whole table! For my main, I got the salmon. It was okay, but I was able to try some of my sister's sea bass, and I really loved it! The dessert selection was the orange honey cake, and wow -- it was amazing. I tried some other foods from others, and I also really liked the Greek fries. They were thick and very crispy.
Sunday brunch in the Washington DC, Harbor for brunch. We decided on Limani because of the bottomless brunch and let me tell you, fantastic. There is no way you can eat to the bottom, although I tried. The menu choices were outstanding with enough to satisfy any dietary needs/requirements. The ambieance was European and the view of the river really set it off. The service was 5+ stars with the waitress continually checking on us and topping off drinks without a need to call for service. Parking garages are available, however we took Uber to elimate the need for parking...which made for a relaxing journey.
Just had an incredible meal at Limani and I'm still thinking about it. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can really tell they care about quality and presentation. The atmosphere was elegant but still comfortable, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Everything we ordered was outstanding, especially the seafood. It felt like a true dining experience, not just a meal. If you're looking for amazing food and a great night out, Limani is a must. I'll definitely be coming back!
Wow is all I can say about this brunch experience. My group had a private room and it was a good view and great service. Our server was very attentive and made sure everyone was taken care of. We weren't celebrating anything, but she even gave us some special treats during our time there. Now on to the food. It's rate to go to a DC restaurant and love everything, but Limani made sure their brunch was delicious no matter what item you decided on. I couldn't even grab pictures of everything because I was too busy enjoying each item. The seafood was the emphasis here and it did not disappoint. The lobster tail was meaty, the oysters were fresh and delicious, even the seafood basmati rice was amazing. The short rib was tender and great. Surprisingly, the collard greens were really good. The French toast was fluffy and sweet. The shrimp and grits were savory. They were able to meet every flavor profile for each item and nailed it. I already can't wait to be back for brunch again or dinner.
I spent MLK Day brunch at Límani with a dear friend after seeing their brunch promotion on Instagram, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. This is a truly luxurious brunch experience from start to finish. The spread was incredible -- abundant seafood, beautifully presented and fresh. The cocktail shrimp, lobster on the half shell, and oyster tower completely won my heart. We also enjoyed a delicious seafood salad, and the carving station sealed the deal with perfectly prepared lamb and one of the best rib eyes I've had at brunch. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is stunning. The décor is elegant and modern, the waterfront views are to die for, and the playlist was chef's kiss -- the kind of music that elevates the entire experience and makes you want to linger. The staff was professional, warm, and attentive without being intrusive, which added to the overall polished feel of the day. If you're looking for an elevated, indulgent brunch at The Wharf that feels special and celebratory, Límani delivers on every level. This is brunch done right.
Had a fabulous brunch experience here. We did the unlimited everything option and it was absolutely worth it. They even allowed us to stay past the two hour limit with no complaints, which made the experience feel relaxed and welcoming. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to clear plates. The food was delicious and surprisingly impressive for a buffet. The mimosas were incredible and clearly made with quality champagne and mixers, not the cheap stuff. The glassware and presentation were a nice touch. The view was great, the service was strong, and the food exceeded expectations. My favorites were the southern style string beans with garlic mashed potatoes and the seafood selection. Overall, a really great experience and one I would happily return to.
Went to celebrate with friends. Ahmed and Alliana* was great and attentive. We tried several things including lamb chops, the sea bass, fillet mignon, lemon potatoes and calamari. The holiday igloos were so nice as well and my VIP-TINI was good. The views and ambiance were nice as well on a cool winter night.
Went for Mother's Day. Had an overall pretty bad experience. We had a 6:00 reservation for six which we showed up to at 5:57. We were not seated until 6:25. We placed our orders and were warned that the Black Seabass for two would take about 25 minutes to prepare. We accepted this, and added the fried calamari as an appetizer to tide us over. By 7:45, none of our food had arrived, including the calamari starter. The server was working hard and we didn't want to complain, but we had to ask. She did not stop to talk to us, she only said "Yes, the kitchen is backed up as we're busy" and kept moving to go to another table. Another very helpful woman -- she was wearing a blue tie (which I believe signals that she works on drinks?) -- came over to chat with us to see how things were going. We said that we're two hours past our reservation time and had eaten nothing but bread thus far. She apologized and offered us a round of drinks, which we were very appreciative of as it was not expected. Our food finally came a little after 8pm. I included a picture of the black seabass for two, which really did not look appealing when served. The big eye tuna was INEDIBLE as it was completely oversalted thanks to it sitting in a pool of soy sauce. The fried calamari was the last to come -- so much for it being an appetizer. To our server's credit, as dishes started coming, I told her to cancel the fried calamari as the intent was to tide us over while we wanted for the sea bass. She said she would bring the dish anyway, and comp it, which she didn't need to do. Overall, the food was middle-tier at best and definitely not worth the price. One person at our table said the salmon tartar was also heavily oversalted -- she didn't end up finishing that dish either, after chugging glasses after glasses of water. The stuffed calamari had too much cheese, although that's a matter of personal preference. The halibut got good reviews from our group. Credit to some of the servers for trying to make up for the two-hour wait for food, but I would not come back here for dinner. I hear great things about the bottomless brunch, but I'd be hard pressed to come back. They add a 20% gratuity on all checks, 4% of which goes to the restaurant to cover increased costs (this is a pet peeve of mine), and 16% goes to the front of house staff (credit the restaurant for disclosing that not all 20% goes to staff). Be advised that they apply the full food tax on top of this gratuity.
My friends and I went to Limani to celebrate a birthday and had a really good time. The space is beautiful and open with floor-to-ceiling windows that do a great job of brightening up the restaurant. They have multiple floors so there's plenty of room for both large and small groups plus they have aa bar area if you just want to hang out there. Our service was okay. Not the greatest but not terrible either. It seemed like they might have been short staffed that day since the bartender was also covering tables so things moved a little slower than we would've liked. Still he was doing his best and we appreciated the effort. Now for the food - it was pretty good! Brunch here is buffet-style with the option of unlimited mimosas and you can find multiple food stations on both the first and second floors with tons of options. Definitely come with an empty stomach. The food overall was enjoyable and the drinks were really good too. I decided to purchase individual drinks and loved my choices (as you can see, that is the picture I got lol) It does lean on the more expensive side but I do think you get your bang for your buck. I would definitely return especially for a celebration. I'm glad I checked it out!
Awesome surrounding area, beautiful ambience, attentive service and a delicious variety of food options. I had the pleasure of dining here for a friend's birthday brunch. We well fed, well cared for and our glasses stayed full. I can't wait to go back. I posted pics of some of the dishes to my Facebook and my mom is dying to try them. The cinnamon roll was an indulgence that I didn't need to add to my guilty pleasures list but the damage is done. Pro tip, the greens stand on their own they are so well seasoned and tender.
Bottomless mimosas... say less! We went to Limani in Washington, DC for Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint. From the hot plates to the all-you-can-eat lobsters, everything was delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and kept coming out hot. The bottomless mimosas were the perfect addition and definitely made brunch even more fun. Our waitress was amazing and very on top of our drinks -- our mimosas were always topped off without us even having to ask, which made the experience even better. The price is just right for what you're getting, especially considering the quality and variety of food. Great atmosphere, great food, and a perfect spot for a Sunday brunch in DC. We'll definitely be back!
Great food, views, and service. The menu may be slightly intimidating at first glance but there are plenty of great options for all party sizes. Service was attentive for a party of 8 and a party of 3. The restaurant sits on the water side of the wharf and has a beautiful view of sunset across the Potomac. I highly recommend for the seafood lovers wanting a romantic evening and vibe
Limani is beautiful and I'm so glad I was able to dine here. The first floor bar/lounge is lovely. I had a pineapple martini there and it was delicious. I cannot wait to return for that. We made our way upstairs for dinner (in an elevator, thankfully) and had a wonderful meal at a table overlooking the water. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I ordered the saganaki (sadly, not flambeed tableside) and halibut. Both were delicious and the wines I ordered were great, especially the Greek white. Service was good, though I was surprised that I was incorrectly informed of the vegetables that accompanied my entree. As good as it was, it is overpriced for the quality of the food. That is true of most DC restaurants, so no surprise. I did not finish my appetizer, so I had it wrapped. I was brought the bag immediately after, which I am not used to at a fine dining restaurant. Typically, you'd collect your leftovers after the meal. So I had to have it on the floor while I dined. I asked if the staff could hold it, but they just walked away. Also, the dessert menu looked like it had been printed in 1995. So Limani has some operational issues to navigate. That said, I'm really looking forward to returning, especially for brunch and the third floor lounge. Their brunch is high on my list and I aim to return soon.
This space is beautiful. It is a seafood restaurant and a great event space. Waterfront metro is a few blocks away. There are three floors of fun. The views are pretty from the third floor but it can also get muggy, depending on the temperature. Patio dining is possible. Make sure you visit the PH level before you leave. I attended an event with a buffet. My favorite item was eggplant chips. They were perfectly cooked. The chef and staff did a great job of making each dish look great. read more

07.04.2025, Yes. We know Limani offers an award winning brunch, but please don't sleep on dinner! With my family in tow, we went to the WDC location for an early birthday celebration. The wharf had this kinetic energy thanks to the good weather, the holiday, and Cowboy Carter coming to town. This Mediterranean restaurant is gorgeous & they rolled out the red carpet for us. We enjoyed lots of natural lighting and views of the boat filled Potomac from our corner table. It was also perfect because we had sleepy kids, a stroller, etc. and never felt inconvenienced or rushed. It was my first time dining here so we ordered a bunch of food. The flavors, textures, & attention detail were top notch. Even the olive oil had a peppery bite that I loved. Everything was so delicious. We had a bottle of Prosecco and toasted to the occasion after I completed a guided tour. I am grateful. read more
We had an outstanding girls dinner here. Started w a few drinks at the bar- $10 during HH. Then made our way upstairs to a corner table w the best view! Service was impeccable throughout. I enjoyed the salmon tartare followed by the Bronzino. The fish was excellent. If I had to be nit picky, there were a few bones in my filet but not the end of the world. Atmosphere was lovely and they let us sit there for 2 hours easily on a Saturday. Even did separate checks! Only complaint is the price tag ... but ... YOLO. read more

This is all decor and ambiance. Definitely looks very high inn but it's really not worth it too me I really loved the second waitress. because the first one she started off very shaky. The biggest no, no for me, was the fact that they have three different menus and the food was not very good But it could have been just what I ordered I'm not sure. I would stick to just meeting friends for drinks here and sticking to the apps . If it were me overall, not a totally bad experience, but not a really good one either Kudos to the bartender. read more
Came for Father's Day and was pleasantly surprised. I was skeptical that it wasn't booked up, we were able to make reservations the day before for Father's Day brunch. And I generally don't expect the food quality to be good at buffets but I really enjoyed it. Decent food, fresh, regular refills, great variety. The service was also great, a lot of water refills and our table server was very nice. My biggest complaint was that there was all this nice and bright seating along the water, and no one was there when we arrived, but they seated us all the way in the back corner with barely the view of the wharf inland side. It was also the furthest possible table from all the buffet setup. That was a bummer, but we also didn't ask for another range. And perhaps we were placed there because it was literally the last table and we got it, since we reserved the day before! Anyway, I really enjoyed the food, and the desserts were really interesting and there was a great variety also. Everything was always topped off so you didn't feel like you were missing anything. Wasn't a big fan of the lamb or the crab rice. Favorites: fresh lobster, crab claws, and shrimp from the seafood towers, lobster mac and cheese, Greek French toast, grilled vegetables, strawberry yogurt parfait thing, the double chocolate chip cookie, and the ginger snap cookie with the meringue! read more

I went one Sunday for their $75 all-you-can-eat brunch, and once I saw oysters and lobster on the menu, I was sold. Those were probably my favorite items. The prime rib was also a standout--super tender and flavorful. The chef who carves it even sprinkles salt on it like Salt Bae, which was a fun touch. Their French toast was really yummy too, and I loved that they offer a lychee option for the bottomless mimosas. That was such a nice twist. It's such a beautiful restaurant on the waterfront, which made the whole experience even better. The food was amazing and the brunch was well worth it. I'll definitely be back. Just a heads-up--make sure you get seating upstairs, since that's where the brunch is held. read more
We went for brunch on a Sunday and were surprised to see a buffet setup as that wasn't indicated when the reservations were made. The food selection was pretty good as was the service. You are limited to 90 minutes and they DO keep track of your time. There are a few parking lots in the area but they are a walk from the restaurant. I would return for brunch and to try dinner. read more
Popped on the 4th of July weekend, we had no reservations, but was able to get a huge lounger table by the bar and saw the fireworks. Best dish by far was the lamp chops. Whew child!.. they were good. Drunkin Noodle: got a bottle of greek white wine, refreshing. 2nd drink was on rooftop which is a whole new vibe from downstairs. read more
I have been wanting to try Limani for the longest and we finally were able to make it and I'm so glad we did. We had a reservation and were immediately seated and offered water and to place our drink order. From there we ordered the fried calamari for appetizer, the Fargo for two, and the grilled vegetable medley for two. Everything was great! It was seasoned lighted and really allowed the flavor of the fish to come through. They had great presentation with serving the fish and removing as many bones as possible while at your table before placing it in front of you. The restaurant particularly around the dinner time had great date night vibes! We will definitely be back to try out their brunch menu. read more
We had a nice corporate event here. Venue was amazing- waterfront location, great view. We basically had the entire second floor for our group. Service was attentive and drinks were strong and well done. Food offered a nice selection of seafood based dishes (eg lobster pasta or crab, crab rice , baked fish) as well as other protein dishes like prime rib and roast chicken. Overall great venue with good food and attentive service. read more

I visited Limani for their much talked about brunch. Well, let me tell you.....it lived up to the hype. There was a wide variety of food and it was delicious....and after talking with folks about it, I learned that there were items that could have been ordered off of a menu (I was disappointed that our server didn't advise us of this.) It just makes me wonder what other deliciousness I missed out on...lol. The views and ambiance were lovely and aside from not informing about the menu options, the service was excellent as well. I will definitely go back. read more
Limani was a good dinner experience on the Southwest DC Waterfront. It is Mediterranean seafood with focus on traditional Greek specialties. The interior design is beautiful. From the main entrance, to the lounge area, and the dining room, the layout and furniture are exquisite. What I like about this restaurant is you can have a good night at Limani without experiencing their dinner service. Their lounge is a very comfortable, inviting setting. I hung out at the bar for a bit until they sat my party for dinner. The customer service was just OK and I wish it matched the other aspects of the dining experience. Upon entering the restaurant lobby, I was greeted by an unbothered hostess. My reservation was for 5pm, however, the young woman had a very unprofessional and apathetic way of telling me I wouldn't be seated for dinner until 5:15. No explanation or attempt to reason with a customer who simply wanted to know why he wasn't being seated at his reservation time. Just a cold "you'll be seated at 5:15." Keep in mind my reservation time was the first time slot for dinner service. I arrived at the conclusion that they were just running behind in the kitchen. The food and drinks were delicious. I wouldn't necessarily call it the best Mediterranean or Greek food I've ever had, however, it is certainly a great option for this cuisine in DC. The food was very fresh. The portions were commendable. There is a 20% service charge added to all bills which includes 4% for increased wages and 16% for front of the house (FOH) staff. It's always interesting to see how restaurant customer service varies when the business adds an automatic service charge (tip) to the bill. Overall a good experience. read more

Well, I understand why most of the reviews talk about how beautiful the restaurant is but don't really mention the food. Limani IS gorgeous but the food is definitely not worth the price tag. My friend and I went for dinner on a Wednesday night and it was fairly empty. We were seated in a lovely booth and were greeted by our server. We then reviewed the menu and were chatting and then someone else arrived apologizing for the wait and asking to take our order. Later when we were clearly still eating the first course multiple people came by to try and take our plates. But then during the entrees, we had finished eating and didn't see anyone for quite awhile and had to flag them down to get the check. The service was definitely uneven. We each ordered a glass of Sauvignon blanc, which was served in the largest wine glasses I have ever seen. For our meal we chose the following: Big Eye Tuna Tartare Greek Mezze Lamb Chops Shrimp The best dishes were the tuna tartare and the lamb chops. The tartare was fresh and flavorful. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly (medium as recommended by the chef) but they were served with the saddest looking side vegetables and greek fries. I wish they had been served with the lemon potatoes, one of the side dishes. The Greek Mezze was.....fine. It was served with small pieces of pita and the dips weren't bad but they were all soooooo thick. The best combination was the red pepper dip topped with some Tzatziki. The fish roe dip was just too thick for me and was turning me off and I usually love Taramasalata. And the almond dip (I think?) was also incredible thick and the texture and flavor was just not it. The shrimp were also just fine, in a tomato sauce. My biggest summary is that the food is fine. But again, it's a pricey restaurant and I really don't think the quality or flavor of the food is worthy of its high price tag. read more

The hubby and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day at Limani this year. While the evening was lovely overall, the dining experience fell short--especially considering the price. First Impressions: Upon arriving, we were greeted by beautiful views of the waterfront and a well-decorated space with plenty of seating. The Wait & Service: As expected for a day like Valentine's Day, we encountered a wait and a crowd. However, we didn't anticipate a 45-minute wait and an entire dining experience that lasted a total of three hours! This meant that on top of the $400 bill (which included two cocktails, the fixed menu, taxes, and tips), we also had to pay an extra $37 for parking. Again, this would have totally been fine if the food at least met our expectations. I do appreciate the restaurant taking into account my gluten allergy accommodations, but my husband, who is not celiac, was not able to try items that are normally put on the side. The Fixed Menu: We opted for the set Valentine's Day menu at $165 per person, which included the following: * Course 1: Greek Meze (to share) * Course 2: Salad (to share) * Course 3: Octopus (to share) * Course 4: Main Course: Lamb Chops & Branzino (each) * Course 5: Dessert: Sherbet (to share) Course 1 & 2: The Greek meze and the salad were both disappointing. The hummus tasted store-bought, like something from Trader Joe's, while the Caesar salad didn't stand out in any way, other than the fact that we were given mozzarella cheese instead of Parmesan. Course 3: The octopus was well-seasoned but unfortunately overcooked for our taste. We were hungry, and it tasted fine, but it wasn't our favorite. Course 4: The lamb chops were the highlight of the evening--deliciously cooked and worthy of compliments to the chef. Unfortunately, the Branzino was less impressive. It was drenched in capers, and the fish lacked seasoning, leaving me disappointed. Course 5: For dessert, we were served three balls of sherbet. Two were excessively sweet and tasted old, while only the lemon-flavored one stood out as enjoyable. I wish they would have had something more appealing given the special day. Final Thoughts: On a positive note, the cocktails were excellent, and I would certainly consider returning for happy hour. However, the overall experience didn't match the high prices, and I've had better meals for much less. While the atmosphere was beautiful and the service fine, the food simply didn't deliver. read more

We definitely had a 5 star experience at Limani. Spectacular views, stellar service, intimate ambiance, and all great food options. It definitely had the white tablecloth experience. We were attending a show at DAR and we didn't dine long, I did order the Lobster pasta, and it was very flavorful. I would like to return for bruch, as I hear that it is one of the best at the Wharf. If you are looking for a more upscale dining experience, Limani is a go-to. read more

My first time at Lemoni, I can say it was great. The restaurant is beautiful inside with great water of views. We decided to make this our Valentine's Day spot. The service was very fast. The meals came out fast. I was just maybe underwhelmed with the pricing that the advertise for this whole experience like maybe there could've been a little bit more food on the plates, but it did equate for the amount of service we received the cleanliness of the restaurant the very helpful staff so we did have a great time. I would love love love to go back for brunch. read more

This is first time trying their buffet and It's awesome, especially if you like seafood ... oysters, shrimp, and lobster tail. They even have a la carte items, which are included in the weekend buffet, like baklava pancakes. Great service and great food. I would go here again! We had an excellent time here!!! read more
