    1/4 Rotisserie Chicken
    Cheryl M.

First time eating in the restaurant, small and simple with cultural decorations on the walls, few tables to sit and dine. The waitress took our order right away and it came out fast. I ordered the Escobeche Pescado and the 1/4 Rotisserie Chicken, both dishes were really good. They also have a lunch menu. Prices are reasonable . I will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu

Great service! We enjoyed our dinner. It was my first time having beef heart and it was quite delicious. The chicken -pollo a la brasa is always amazing and so well seasoned. The skirt steak was good but I felt the portion of the steak could've been a tad bigger. The taxi tacu rice was yummy! Overall it was a satisfying dinner. We had their ice cream and it was unique flavors...I would recommend that you try it.

Small, intimate Peruvian restaurant, I dined on a Friday night at 7pm and it was not busy at all. No reservations needed. Complimentary sweet potato fries to your table when you arrive. The sangria was weak, tasted more like juice. Salchipapas & rotisserie chicken were good. Green sauce was not spicy or as flavorful as I'm used too. Lomo soltado was cooked to perfection, needed more sauce. Tacu Tacu dish was just ok, the rice was good. The steak was flavorless, needed chimichurri sauce or something to give it flavor. Waitress was friendly, quick service.

This is my second time coming to this restaurant, and its between a 3.5-4. The service was good and the food came out within 2 minutes of ordering, it made us feel like the food was sitting in the back and then microwaved or its premade. However the presentation was well and the atmosphere was pleasing. I did ask for hot sauce (ahi), but after waiting about 20 minutes it never came. We took the remaining food to go and I had it for leftovers at work. I will try give the restaurant another go, and hopefully the experience is different.

I was recently here. Still the best Peruvian food I have had. My favorite dish is the lomo saltado and a side of yucca fries. You cannot go wrong eating here. Sangria is delicious as well. Oh and did I mention the service is quick?

I just love this place. This filet mignon stewed with onions and tomatoes along with spaghetti in a yellow pepper cream sauce is insanely good. The staff is friendly and the food is excellent. The green sauce and fries are a tasty starter. Go here; you won't be disappointed. I have never had a bad meal from Lima 33.

Great service and tasty peruvian fare! They have a couple small tables outside for outdoor dining but the setup is not great. You're completely exposed to the elements. It should suffice if it's a nice day out, but would not recommend for a brisk evening! To eat we had: complimentary Yucca! Anticuchos - marinated and gilled beef heart skewers. I don't think I've ever had beef heart before but we gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised. It has a chewy texture and a REALLY good marinade. The yellow + red sauce are perfect with the skewers. Lomo Saltado - A big portion of juicy beef with onions, tomatoes and fries over rice. comfort food at its finest. yum! Tallarines a la Huancaina con lomo - Spaghetti in a cheesy sauce topped with tenderloin, onions, tomatoes and a little soy sauce. Really tasty but heavy, especially with the cheese sauce. Definitely shareable between 2 people. I was only able to eat about a 1/3 of it. Passion fruit mousse - YES. *finger snaps. so good. Love the passion fruit flavor and light texture. delish! will be back to try the chicken and seafood!

    Arroz Chaufa con Mariscos

My friend and I went there for dinner. She got the Peruvian style fried rice and I got the Taco Taco con Carne. The steak in my dish was nice and juicy and the beans and rice were flavorful. The onion tomatoes salad added a nice touch of freshness. They also gave us a side of yuca fried with what I believe is aioli. The fries were ok; but great with the aioli.

Covid19 era, delivery -- We were happy to support this local business! There were a lot of enticing items. Gotta always go for the plantains, and it was a lot for $5. I'd say my dish was the most flavorful. The Pollo Saltado was also very juicy. My partner's Arroz Chaufa was admittedly a little disappointing because it didn't have the same flavor or anything unique going for it. We actually ended up adding some of our own sauces on top for flavor. Keeping at 4 stars because the plantains were oh-so good.

Came here for date night and it was our first time trying Peruvian food! This restaurant has a lot of street and residential parking. Our waiter was really nice and started us out with some complimentary yucca fries! They were crispy and came with a delicious green sauce. For appetizers we started off with the tamal and the ceviche. I enjoyed the citrus flavor of the ceviche and my fiancé enjoyed the textures of the tamal. For entrees, he got the pesto like spaghetti which had a very subtle flavor. Not my favorite, but he enjoyed it! I got the rice and beans with the grilled skirt steak. The rice and beans were very flavorful but just a hint of being too salty. The steak had a delicious marinade but was cooked well done instead of the medium I requested for. Overall, a good experience for our first time with Peruvian food. The bill came out to be over $110 after tax and tip so be prepared for the hefty prices.

Not sure how it happened, but it took me 4 years to return to Lima 33, not sure what I was thinking. They are currently opened for limited indoor seating, but outside seating is also available. They did a nice job with setting up outside tables. They added some lovely tables atop astro turf so you are not sitting right on the concrete. We sat on the side of the restaurant where only two 2 person tables were located, which was fine by me. The staff was so lovely and attentive and all were wearing their masks properly. The food was just as good as I remembered. The fried yucca and green sauce is fab. The Ceviche was spicy and fresh. The Tacu Tacu with Skirt Steak was so falvorful and delicious and the Lomo Saltado is equally as wonderful. Lima 33 made dining on Northern Blvd so enjoyable.

Came here on a whim because I was tired of traveling so far for good Peruvian food. Now I don't have to. This place went above & beyond to please us. Starting out for the table with yuca fries & a delicious green sauce. They had ran of out an item I wanted & 20 minutes later they gave us a fresh one! Please when you go there get the chaufa, the purple drink & tacu tacu & the llomo saltado. Thank you so much Lima for an amazing experience. The outside really deceives the inside. It's beautiful inside with an open kitchen. I can't wait to come back with everyone I know with a great experience. Thank u thank u! Please get the purple drink!

If you've never had it, you get their famous chicken, an avocado salad, salchipapas (fries + hot dogs), plantains (sweet or savory) and rice/beans. We got a glass of sangria which is always classic and I tried the Marucaya (passionfruit) Sour and both were very tasty. I felt like the food comes out here FAST and the chicken was HOT. Possibly the best experience I've had at Pio Pio since the very first time I tried it in Jackson Heights. When they were in the tiny space that Amaru is in before they moved across the street. We'll probably go to this one from now on. Everything from the space, service, drinks and food were perfect. He thought the lomo saltado was the best ever, and we're from an area that has a lot of Peruvian. They even had his Inca-Kola. Definitely some place you want to try if you want authentic Peruvian cuisine served with heart. Also note: this place is not associated with the other La Vicharra in the area.

I wanted to bring my parents some food, but not "fast food". We love Peruvian as it's the closest comfort food we've ever had that is just like home cooking and I know my parents would love it. I found this restaurant online, and the reviews were promising. I ordered on their website and set the pick up time. The payment went through on my end because I received a notification immediately upon paying. When we arrived to the restaurant, I was unsure where to enter. I accidentally entered the dine in restaurant section. They seem to have multiple spaces; a nicer restaurant with dim lighting, neon lights and a lively ambience, a more casual dining area that was empty this particular night, and then a bar section for drinks and takeout. One of the employees walked me over to the pick up area near the bar, and I let them know I placed my order. The woman looks confused and fetched the owner/manager. They claimed my payment never went through. I told them that 100% it did go through as I received a message saying such. They asked for proof of payment. I showed them my online bank account, showing the payment pending. The transaction was made through *their* specific payment set up on the restaurant's website. At this point I began to get irritated. I asked them if my food was ready because I ordered ahead for the main purpose of having the food ready by the time I arrived. They seem to still believe that maybe the payment did not go through and reluctantly began preparing my order. They could definitely sense that I was getting upset and my patients was running thin. They also obviously did not have my food ready so I ended up having to wait longer than anticipated. I had my husband come in with our kid, ordered some shots and a couple drinks. They were nice enough to comp us a couple drinks to make up for the inconvenience. Their natural juices do taste very good. I tried their passion fruit. I got my parents a rotisserie chicken and chaufa. I also tried both and they were great. I ordered myself a tamale but left it out all night and had to throw it away. I'm still pissed about that. They get 3 stars because the food and drinks were good, and they made up for their mistake, but I'm still a bit annoyed at their janky payment system. They're conveniently close to my parents' house so I'll probably try them again but maybe stop by in person and order take out while enjoying a drink at the bar.

I sampled them separately at first, and loved the taste of both. The Purple Corn was delicate and sweet, while the Passionfruit was citrusy and refreshing. I wasn't sure I would them as much together, but it turned out to be a delightful blend. I ordered the Steak with Sausage, along with sides of Tostones, Salad, Rice, and Moro. The Steak had lovely grill marks, was wonderfully tender and well seasoned. The Sausage was juicy and also bursting with flavor. Tostones were perfectly crispy, thin, and oh so flavorful. Some of the best I have tasted! Salad was a nice and colorful mix of corn, purple onion, tomatoes, avocados, bringing a fresh element to the dish. White rice was fluffy and cooked well. The Moro I did not care for, because I found it to be bland. Service was excellent. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I enjoyed my meal here and would return if in the area to try one of the Seafood dishes.

Dishes we've had include: - Half Chicken: $9.50; $10.34 with tax. The chicken and accompanying green sauce are above average; 4 stars out of 5. The chicken is flavorfully marinated and moist, and the green sauce has a little heat to it. - The Sampler: $16.99; $18.59 with tax. The most flavorful component of this dish was the chicken. The rice was on the mushy side. The ceviche was OK but the proteins didn't quite have the right textures. - Aeropuerto Special: $15.25; $16.60 with tax. OK; 3 stars out of 5. A mixture of thin lo mein noodles and rice with some roast pork, chicken, and shrimp. The dish seemed to have a decent wok hei, which was confusing because the chicken rice from the Sampler was on the mushy side. This dish would be much better with more proteins, and the wok hei suggests that the restaurant has untapped potential. - Papa Rellena: $8.95; $9.74 with tax. OK; 3 stars out of 5. Stuffed deep fried potatoes that seemed factory-made, instead of house-made. Atmosphere, Service, Other: The restaurant is casual, clean, and comfortable for dining in, with a mix of regular tables and booth-style seating. Those who choose to dine-in should order food at the counter, receive a number placard, and find a place to sit. Staff will bring plates, utensils, and later, one's food and drink; and will clear the table when your party is finished eating. Service is notably upbeat. Suggested tips are based on pre-tax subtotals, and start at an affordable 12%. Overall ticket time (the time between placing an order and having that order served) is reasonable. By contrast, Bayside Chicken Lovers often requires that orders be placed in advance to minimize wait time. The restroom is adequately maintained, but oddly pipes in music louder than in the main dining area. Simple Peruvian is a couple of storefronts away from Kora, which is a superb place for dessert afterwards.
