Either some charge me too much or other places refused to cut my ingrown or my cuticles. I even went to one place where it took me 2 1/2 hours to get a manicure and pedicure. I was in and out in one hour. Nancy took such great care of me. I got a gorgeous gel pedicure and a trim and buff manicure. All under $100.00 I left them a great tip because the space was so clean, tidy, orderly, and well taken care of. The vibes were great! The ladies complimented me and chatted with me for a while. Just had a very bad experience 10/21/25. Asked Lily's helper 3 times to remove an ingrown toenail while she got a pedicure and she ignored my mom. The nails were all crooked and the the polish was completely smeared on one toenail. I paid $75 for a gel mani and a poor excuse of a pedi. When I called back to get a refund for my moms pedi Lily refused to give me a refund then threatened me with her Gods and said I was evil because her woman spent 1 hour on my moms feet. I explained that if she had listened to my moms request the first time there wouldn't be a problem but she continued to threaten me with her Gods. I needed a quick gel manicure and Lily's was the only salon who was able to fit me in late notice. The salon is located in the shopping center on Fairview so there's ample amount of parking. As I entered the salon, the owner asked if i was the person who inquired about a manicure. She then ushered me to a woman sitting on her phone waiting for customers. The nail manicurist did NOT look happy to be interrupted by me. She grudgingly put her face mask on, asked what color I wanted and did what she needed to do quickly without any facial contact. I didn't expect a lot of conversation but you do have to greet your customer and treat them politely. She did a good job and she accomplished what I asked for on short notice, so my complaint could be misconstrued as trite. But as a paying customer, a little kindness goes a long way. As for Covid precautions, their stations were plexiglassed and wore masked while with customers. Otherwise, if they weren't with a customer, they weren't masked. WEIRD interpretation of precautions. One other elderly lady was not masked which is another big turn off for me. They would've received a better review if their Covid precautions were more solid and the manicurist was a bit more friendly. read more

WTF Ok so the pandemic is going on. they decided that they will see people outside. so basically little bowls of water and tools that they used to do the manicures and pedicures. Uncomfortable as fK chairs... a real Flintstones set up outside My sister, her husband and I got pedicures I also got a manicure. It's like they did the very least and charge the very most. Is if we have to make up for all the time that they couldn't make money. I got my manicure and pedicure with French manicure and my sister got gel. For freaking what is my question because there was no luxury no special treatment no nothing. Mine was over $80 for a mani pedi but considering that they were outside and it was uncomfortable and they didn't do that great of a job it was highway robbery. She didn't put on any kind of Preparatory coat on my nails and didn't really put a top coat on she didn't bother to put on at least 2 layers of nail polish and my nails need it and looking at my cuticles today they didn't do such a great job at those either. I would not recommend this place. My nails needed at least two coats because I have ridges in my nails and they couldn't spend the extra time and money to do that and it looks on some of my nails like I don't even have any clear polish on at all. read more

I've been wanting to get my nails done for a while because my cuticles are horrendous. I have a clipper at home for cuticles, but every once in a while I believe you should get the professionally done! I saw and decided to go with Lily's for two reasons. 1) I saw that they have and honor the AXXESS deals, which include 20% off your first service (and more discounts there afterwards) and 2) the great reviews and recommendations from other Yelp Elite members and locals. I am so glad that I was in Goleta to stop by. I called in for an appointment for 6pm, but ended up finishing my errands around 5:30pm. I know that I was very early and would most likely have to wait. HOWEVER, they were so kind and luckily had availability to bump me up and get me in right away. Tina did a great job cleaning up my nails and putting on a beautiful neutral/natural color. Also, is it just me or do salons have the BEST smelling lotions? I loved getting a hand and arm massage with the manicure and she even found some tension in my hands. My mom and baby sister went to this nail salon today and had the worst experience ever. They do not go get their nails done often but we have a special family event this weekend so they decided to go get them done. I was at work during this time so I was not able to be there with them. My baby sister is underage and very shy and my mom didn't really know how getting your nails done works. My baby sister gave the first photo as a reference of what she wants. The second photo is the picture I got from my baby sister telling me that she does not like them. I called the salon to see if I can talk to the nail tech in order to make sure my baby sister does not go home with those hideous nails.. I told her the situation and I asked her if there's any way that she could fix them for her and she was very rude and just said "that she's just going to have to cut them off, to not worry about payment, they won't charge her but that she can't do anything about it". She tried to say that it was because she didn't have much nail bed to work with but this was not told to my sister. Nor did she mention that she is not going to be able to recreate the nails she's requesting. I have never had this happen when it comes to getting my nails done. Whenever a nail tech is not able to do what I want or she does not think they will look good with my hand, I listen because they're PROFESSIONALS My baby sister then sent me the last picture and I was livid. You can clearly see the cuts on her fingers. I called again instructing the nail tech that I received a picture from my sister and that she is not to touch her until I get there and what does this lady do? She starts taking off her nails after I told her she's not to touch her anymore!! I was in between calling my mom telling her what's the situation and what's going to happen because my mom was getting serviced at the time and was not able to talk to my sister. I didn't want to do this but I feel like it's necessary due to the circumstances. I went to get my toes done and while she was doing them I noticed her ripping off what seemed to be too much cuticle and it not feeling right. At the end of the appointment she told me she had cut all my cuticles off so I did not think anything of it (since it is standard during pedicure). My two big toes felt sore but it was fine. I woke up to my big toe throbbing in pain and I had gotten a bacterial infection. It has gotten worse over the past few days but is now starting to get better after epsom salt soaks and antibiotics. All the women were super nice and down to earth and the paint job was perfect, just not sure if the tools/supplies were as sanitized as they should be. :( read more

So I had been here a really long time ago, but came back because I saw it had an Axxess deal. I got a regular mani pedi and was pleasantly surprised at the service & quality! They shaped my nails really well without me having to even say anything, and they even stayed open way past closing to finish up my service. The woman even said she remembered me from when I visited years ago, which surprised me. My manicure lasted a surprisingly long time considering it was a regular manicure--in fact, I would say it did better than the gel manicure I got the last time from a different salon. My pedicure is still going pretty strong (other than my nails growing out and some wear around the edges of the nails), and it's been over a month! I also love that they have multiple Axxess deals and definitely plan on taking advantage of them for my next mani pedi (which will probably be in a couple weeks)! read more

It wasn't well-shaped and looked extremely clunky in the thickness of layers--I ended up going somewhere else a week later and had them removed. I think she even missed applying a layer for one or two of my nails because she was distracted with answering her phone. I hate to leave a review like this because I've had great encounters here in the past, but after my recent visit I'm really disappointed. I don't get my nails done very often, but I can tell when they don't look like how they should. From far away, my manicure looked good, but because they're my own hands and I see them all the time I couldn't help but notice how many careless mistakes were made (and not noticed/corrected). I also got a pedicure from a different woman, and she was great, so I left a generous tip. However, if I'm paying 96-100 dollars (including tip) on a gel mani/pedi, I want it to look amazing, and I left wanting to cry that I had spent that much for work that wasn't even close to that. The woman who did my manicure rushed through it and did a sloppy job, that's the bottom line. After this experience, I'm just going to go somewhere else because I don't want to take a gamble with 100 dollars to see if it turns out amazing or under par. It hurts me to write this review because the women there are so nice to me, but I'm a college student and I can't afford this luxury very often, so I just feel really sad that I had spent this much money on something I don't even feel comfortable showing off. read more

I'm very particular and used to travel to Carpinteria every two weeks until a bad experience. I'm very particular. I LOVE the #6 pedicure (with the paraffin) and a few months ago went back to acrylics which I'm loving. I get my brows shaped here by Lily and love them, always get compliments on them. I've referred a couple of friends for the brow shaping. Lily has always been very accommodating when I've returned for smudges or touch ups. read more

I came in with a bunch of my girlfriends and we all ended up getting our nails done. I got the deluxe package manicure which came with the paraffin wax. I had a great time conversing with the woman who was painting my nails, and in fact, she did a great job. I don't usually like to give unsatisfactory reviews, however my last visit here was not the greatest. Granted I called 10 minutes prior to see if anyone was available to do a gel manicure so I didn't get to request anyone specific. I'm not sure what the lady's name was who did my nails but I felt like I could have done a better job myself and I'm not a professional. She clipped my nails, left the edges sharp, and after I asked her to file them down, she used a very rough nail file when I told her my nails where pretty thin and brittle right now. She proceeded to file my nails crooked. I didn't say anything further as I could file them when I got home. Then something went wrong with the polish or the towel and there were little tiny fuzzy strings stuck in the polish which she did not take off that are now embedded in the gel polish leaving lines and tiny bumps on some of my nails. And low and behold, two days after my appointment the gel is already starting to lift and crack off. I'm very bummed :( read more

When I told her what happened she got very rude about it and made it seem like I was overreacting. She continued to cut my nails AND CUT ME AGAIN, this time much deeper. My gel manicure has been chipping and peeling since the day after I got it. My group came into Lily's and got totally bad customer service, one individuals manicure only lasted 15 minutes while others were 35 for the same service. They got made because not everyone wanted gel and kept saying we needed to come back aggressively.
