I found Glow Nails through Yelp (thanks, Yelpers!) and really loved it. It's a bit of a hidden gem, tucked away in an easy-to-miss parking lot off La Cumbre. The overall aesthetic is super cute and relaxing - you don't even feel like you're right off a busy road. The pedicure chairs were incredibly comfortable and relaxing. We did have to move to different stations for our manicures, which was a bit inconvenient, but not a huge issue. The staff was pretty quiet and not overly friendly, but they did a good job and everything turned out great. Overall, we enjoyed our time and I'd definitely come back. read more

Extremely disappointing experience. poor service, poor communication, and unexpected charges My daughter and her friend, both college students, called this salon ahead of time to confirm the service and were quoted $60 for builder gel. They had an appointment, yet were still left waiting approximately 45 minutes before being helped. Unfortunately, the actual manicure was extremely poor. As you can see in the photos, there is product left on the skin around the nails, uneven application, and visible areas that were not properly cleaned up or finished. My daughter specifically asked multiple times for the hangnails/cuticles to be addressed, but they were not properly taken care of. The bigger issue was the pricing and communication. They were quoted $60 over the phone but were charged a different amount when they arrived. They were also charged a credit card fee that was never disclosed when they booked the appointment. When they questioned the price, they were told they had been quoted the higher amount over the phone which was not what they were told. Then, when paying, the girls were presented with a tipping screen showing high percentage tip options and were rushed through the payment process without being given reasonable time to review everything. They left feeling rushed, uncomfortable, and taken advantage of. The staff was rude when they tried to ask questions, and the overall communication was extremely frustrating. For a service that was booked in advance, this was simply not acceptable. The photos speak for themselves. I just moved to the area and was looking to find my new nail spot. I have been getting my nails done every 3 weeks for probably 15 years now. Never have I ever had an experience like this. I made an appointment, showed up on time, was patient and kind to staff when they were running behind, paid cash, tipped, etc. I feel like I am an easy and pleasant customer always. Anyways, I sit down with my nail tech, name starts with N. She doesn't even acknowledge me and was very rude. I don't know what I did to make her mad, maybe she doesn't want new customers? She rushed as fast as she could and made lot of mistakes through the process, cut 4 of my cuticles with the drill because of how fast she was going and when I'd say ouch, she wasn't concerned and kept going. It was a very bizarre experience. I left with 4 areas still slightly bleeding and am pregnant. If I get an infection I will not be happy. My fingers hurt and the whole job was rushed. Cindy and sang were nice people but N who did my nails will never have my business again. I was so sad spending my money here with how she treated me :( read more

Visiting from out of town, so when my nails started lifting I knew I needed a soak off and refill. I thought I'd just try a place with sufficient ratings so I found Glow. I was able to get in on a Saturday afternoon so that was convenient. I came, reminded them what I wanted and the woman who helped me really didn't seem to listen. She didn't soak off, only removed the lifted bits with a dremal which was a little painful, then cut my nails pretty short, and cut me pretty badly when she was filing my nails to almond. On top of all of this, she didn't really seem to acknowledge me much. Overall would recommend trying another place in the area or booking with the owner, who seemed a lot more thoughtful. read more

Based on the volume of customers, I'm not the only one who thinks so. They take walks in's (me!) but they also had a lot of appointments so probably call ahead if you can. I made an appointment the day before a flight to see my husband for the first time in 10 weeks, he's in the army. I was asked to send a photo of the design I wanted and to pick colors via text message. My appointment was at noon, I arrived a few minutes late and gave them notice of this as I was caught in unexpected traffic. When I arrived they made me pick out the colors again which was annoying but maybe they needed more time and didn't want to outright ask me to wait? I just got a very bad feeling about the whole thing. It was dirty and dusty but the manicurists were nice and I wanted to give it a try. However several of their customers were very rude and made this experience terrible. I wish I had left when I saw the lack of cleanliness. After being subject to what felt like middle school bullying for 45 minutes from random people I have never met, I decided to leave. It was really confusing, uncomfortable and all around a terrible experience. I will never go back there. I highly recommend SB Nail Bar, it is very clean and everyone minds their own business.i have never had this bad of an experience anywhere else. Something that was supposed to be special and an act of self care had me nearly in tears and calling my best friend for emotional support. I called in for a last minute appointment. I was able to get a pedicure appointment right away. I got the deluxe pedi, nice technician, nice massage chairs, decent color selection. However, the nail trimming and nail polish job was terrible; my toe nails are uneven and not shaped the same way and my toe nails weren't painted properly. These pictures were taken as soon as I got to my hotel. 10 mins after leaving the salon. I was very disappointed on a Thursday afternoon. I walked in and had a pedicure with my mom and I was trying to explain to the gentleman about cutting my toenails shorter. He didn't understand so I had to kind of show him with my hands and the clippers. He finally understood it, and then a bunch of them were talking really fast and their own language, which I feel really uncomfortable listening to you. As I was leaving, I had shared with the manager or the owner that I wasn't happy with my nail polish she said no no that's how it is. That's how it is and she didn't say anything else about it and she was very rude. I would never go back to that place or never recommend them. read more

I've been going here for 4 months now and have been getting a mani and pedi here every 4 weeks. Everyone here is amazing. My sister and I are Puerto Ricans from NY and absolutely love Sang! She has the best personality and is funny! She makes us feel at home at the salon and we feel like we're back at home in NYC! People can lack personality here and take offense to humor. Sad for them (Leslie). When I first called to make an appointment, they didn't ask for my number, and while I admit I was confused, I trusted that they knew what they were doing. I've learned "the receptionist" is SUPER efficient and very much on top of everything. My sister and I are loyal customers! They are good people and great nail techs. Kudos for this nail salon being open on a Monday. Make sure to pull into the Hertz Car Rental driveway as the salon is at the far end of the lot. Reviews from Google were amazing. I had John work on my gel mani & pedi- and he was phenomenal. I always like to be a first walk in customer of the day- and Glow accommodated me. After my pedi was done, John began to work on my manicure. While he was removing my calluses- he simply said, "I'm sorry if I'm taking too long. I want it to be perfect." It took me by surprise. And I replied back w/ a lil laugh, "No need to apologize. I respect that you are taking your time because you want your work to reflect you." Although cash is preferred here- but, you will be charged a 3% fee of paying by card. Dang (the owner) politely points to a sign by the card reader. read more
