I don't think I've ever left a review for a nail spa, but I had to for this one. Kim's is my favorite in Santa Barbara as of today! I've been to many nail salons around town growing up here, but I had never been to Kim's for some reason despite living pretty close by. I called for an appointment and they were immediately so nice and welcoming. I came in 10 minutes later and they took us right away. This was my daughter's first manicure. The lady who did her nails was so nice and patient. My daughter smiled and chatted with her the whole time they even gave her a hair bow at the end. It's always really appreciated when a business is so good with kids! Kelly did my nails. She was hilarious and so kind and warm, even giving me a peptalk on positive affirmations. My nails came out beautifully! I paid $57 before tip for both of us! Thank you, Kim Nails! My six year old and I are so happy! We'll be back! read more

The expectation when you walk in does not match the end result. I went in for a fill because I was in an area and I completely regretted it. The fill was not properly done, and there are some parts missing powder. The gel applied looks like a beginner application. Tracy was very friendly but the end result is definitely not what I expected especially when paying over 55 dollars for a fill. read more

Two days ago, I went to get my nails done at Kim Nails & Spa for my first time. I was going to a wedding this weekend in New York and I'm so grateful that Kelly was my manicurist. She did an amazing job on my nails, I trusted her with her expertise and she delivered. She gave me a classy sophisticated & trendy look. She knew what she was doing and a joy to work with. I had such a wonderful first experience here today! I've been looking for a new go-to spot, and I finally found it. My appointment was timely, the salon is immaculately clean, and the staff is so friendly and professional. I had Kelly for a pedicure and she is so incredibly friendly, funny and took her time to make sure everything was perfect, especially when preparing my cuticles and shaping them evenly on both sides of my feet (you'd be surprised at the lack of attention to detail at other places!) . I am currently pregnant about to be due , I didn't know the best way to get my nails done at this point given the amount of time I had left to give birth, Kelly was a very big help recommending such short but beautiful nails for Valentine's Day , she was very gentle and also offered some ideas for the future after birth , I also received an eyebrow clean up with her, I've always been picky about getting them done because of my past experiences but she was very professional and comforting , I didn't want them too thin of too thick but I loved the way she did them this way , highly recommend her!!! I was on vacation and went with friends for a pedicure. I got the male nail tech. Do not let him do your pedicure. He was more interested in his phone than doing my treatment. He rushed through the whole thing . He only half way did my heels. He left dirt in my cuticles and didn't trim them at all. He massaged my calves for less than 2 minutes. I was done 20 minutes before my friends who were clearly enjoying their leg massages. I paid extra for the callous treatment and got less than my friend who didn't pay for that. Fortunately after I complained, the manager was kind enough to clean and trim my cuticles. Oh and when I was telling her I was unhappy the guy ran to the back room and was never seen again. read more

Horrible service. Not state board compliant by any means. I walked in to have my nails done here, immediately I realized I made the wrong choice. I then asked if they could just remove my gel bc I already knew I was going to be unhappy with the place. she said "I already filled up the water for your pedicure " (not my problem) to remove my gel she submerged my entire hand in a BAG of acetone. Anyway, she did a shitty job removing them... charged me $60. She told me it was a $10 fee to remove them so she charged me 3 times what she said after I said I didn't want my nails done by them. Stay away, it's crap. read more

In the spur of the moment my dad wanted to get pedicures so I called a few spas around town and couldn't get an appointment, but Kim's had space for us! It was a light clean place and the ladies here are wonderfully kind and good at what they do. We both got deluxe pedicures with callus removal, hot towels, scrub, mask and paint. It was delicious however I prefer more massaging. The whole experience was about 45 minutes. read more

I walked in a little after 9am on a Friday and was seated right away. I was happy to see so many staff members because there were already four other customers when i arrived (and this place had just opened). This place was very popular with regulars coming for appointments and a few phones calls making appointments. Kim did my pedicure and she was very pleasant. I appreciated that Kim let me read my book but did have small conversation with me every so often. Very sweet lady! My pedicure was good; I've had better but i can't complain. There was some polish left on the tips of three toes and my nails could've been shaped better. Overall, a solid experience. read more

It took forever to get them put on due to shaky hands of the male owner and when they would be crooked, he would tell me my nail is crooked (they're not). My toe polish was smudged by the time I got back to the hotel so I had to re-do them myself. Anyway, like I said- the owners were very sweet and if I wasn't getting married the next day with a busy schedule, I would have waited and went somewhere else. It's just sooooo dirty and messy inside.
