Lily's recently changed the happy hour beer to basically bottled bud poo poo and a few other lame beers. The main beer they have now is Riverhead brewery beer, their new brand, mediocre... The menu has recently changed too, higher prices... Wondering if they are pushing this change to all the lily's group, hope not! read more

I've been to Lily's many times... my mom loves it there. She claims they have THE BEST Burgers!! Went this afternoon & had a not so great experience. Had to wait a while to be seated, even though it wasn't crowded. Food took a while, which we didn't mind, but my mom specifically order a burger with NO cheese. When the food finally came , it was a cheeseburger. They took it back & remade it, out came a burger on a bun (no condiments) I then asked for tomato, lettuce & onion & it was brought out. I got the steak tidbits, they were good. However, when they took my order, the waitress said regular fries? I said what are my choices.... She rattled off a few things... waffle fries, sweet potato fries, Mac & cheese, etc. I opted for the waffle fries.... I didn't ask, but assumed there may be a slight upcharge. To my surprise..... $5.00 for the waffle fries!! There MAY have been 10 waffle fries in that little basket. I wish I took a photo. From the moment I called to ask if they could accommodate for a Baptismal party everything was great. I had previously book another venue but they had called and abruptly canceled on me so last minute I called Lily's and they were so wonderful and were able to accommodate my gathering. Lily's is great period. Real warm hospitality and never had a bad meal here once. I definitely prefer this location over the Islip one. St Patrick's Day is of the chain here. Always have a blast as Lily's goes hard core Irish-style! Lily's does a proper Irish Car Bomb which is a must for anyone new to lily's. Treat yourself to one... so good! As a vegan it is very difficult to enjoy a meal here. I tried to order a salad that came with avocado, tomatoes, peppers, and balsamic vinaigrette (also came with bacon but I omitted it). The salad I got did not even have avocado in it. For $16. They didn't even attempt to call me to tell me and ask if they could sub anything. I found out by checking my bag before I left the parking lot (we did a pick up order). I had also ordered a baked potato side and they had left that out of the order completely. Was there a few Fridays ago. Not great. Went downhill for socializing on weekends. Used to be a great place, not anymore. Turned into a times square dump of spoiled 21 year olds, bad music and bad attitudes. Very unfriendly. Used to be a great place a 34 year old could go. Not anymore. What a disgrace. If you want a crowd that has dignity and class while being mature enough to respect others...don't go to this joint. Visit Date: March 11, 2018 I have really started to dread visiting restaurants with my toddler. So much that unless it's a special occasion like my MIL's birthday which is what required this visit I told my hubby we'll be getting take out or delivery until our son is older. The entrance to the pub looked a little off, after we walked in the main doors we had to walk through these broken looking glass or plastic doors. Once we got through that entrance though everything looked pretty decent. We were offered a high chair which we said yes to even though we knew our son was only going to sit for five to ten minutes and after was going to want to get out and walk around. The waitress who helped us was very accommodating. She said she could bring me out two eggs with my salad since I'm a vegetarian and for the most part I now stick to a fairly healthy eating plan. She also agreed not to kill my salad with the dried fruit that was supposed to come with it. I had a Guinness to drink, I've been trying to stay off alcohol for the most part but once in awhile it's okay. A Guinness is a Guinness everywhere you go so I can't say much about that. My salad was good. The goat cheese was fried which was delicious but I shouldn't really have the fried cheese much. The veggies in the salad were pretty fresh looking no complaints about that. When my son wanted to get up and walk around there was plenty of room for him to toddle around the pub. Eventually I did take him outside though. I thank Lily Flanagan's along with many other places for their patience with my toddler running around the place. I had to choke down my beer and salad after my hubby was able to take a turn watching my son but that's not really the fault of the restaurant that's just mom life. Came here tonight for Christmas Music Bingo. We arrived and the place was absolutely packed. There was not one spot available. Maybe they didn't plan for the large outcome, but they should've. Instead of trying to help accommodate us and find seats, they just started at us with blank stares. Not sure what happened here. I gave this place great reviews in the past based on the delicious food and excellent service. I came here a few weeks ago and the service at the bar was bad. I was on the less busy side and the bartenders rarely came over. I waited about 20 minutes to try to order food. I then went over to the other side to order some food at around 9:55 and I was told the kitchen just closed. Hmmm. I would have ordered 20 minutes ago but wasn't able to. Ok so maybe an off night. I came in last week, another busy night. I sat at the bar for around 15 minutes and eventually a bar tender I haven't really seen before said "Are you guys ok?" No, because we had no food or drinks at all at this point. Later in the evening we sat with empty glasses in front of us. This same bartender kept coming over right near us, never making eye contact with us or asking if we wanted anything. Yes, the place was very busy but I saw a couple of bartenders talking in between the bars by the register for about 15 minutes while we waited for service. We had dinner at Lily Flangan's recently and all-in-all we were quite pleased. If I had any objection, it is that the decor could use a face-lift. But the food was excellent and the service was solid. My son and I shared an order of wings to start with. Again, the wings were solid, with good flavor and nice sauce, but maybe could have been a little meatier. But flavor trumps size, so we were pleased. For dinner, my wife had the Shepherd's Pie. She can be very picky about restaurant food, so it was a good sign that she really enjoyed it. I didn't take a picture of the Shepherd's Pie because there are already many pictures on Yelp of that particular dish. My son had the Fish & Chips, and again, he was quite happy with it. Again, plenty of pictures for this dish. For me, I have the Limerick Sirloin Steak au Poivre. I was VERY nervous about this order. Medium rarer sirloin with a special sauce in an Irish pub? That could be a recipe for disaster. On this dish, I took a picture because when it hit the table it looked great. More importantly the sirloin was tender (not always a guarantee with restaurant sirloin, believe me) cooked PERFECTLY medium rare, very flavorful and the au Poivre sauce was fantastic. I truly recommend you try this if you visit Lily Flanagan's. For dessert we shared the Lava Cake (just ok) and the Salted Caramel Cheesecake (Excellent!). All in all we were pleasantly surprised and would be happy to return. But hey, owners. Spruce the place up a little, and add some padding to the seats please. read more

How far this place has fallen. The staff seemingly have no management and basically could not care less. Last night we had dinner, we waited 15 minutes for someone, anyone to take our order. We had to go ask the hostess to find us a waiter. It was early and was maybe 20% full. The food that came out was "ok", half of it was cold. Some friends came so we stayed for drinks. Most times there was absolutely no one behind the bar. Literally no staff, we could have poured our own for free. When staff were there they stared at the floor and walked right past customers. At one point I finally got someones attention, ordered 2 drinks, my friend ordered a drink, he said "OK" and then walked from behind the bar and disappeared. I assume he went home. They definitely missed out on a lot of $ as people waited over a half hour to order drinks. read more

Had a party here on Saturday afternoon.. the floors were so sticky i thought my feet were going to come out of my shoes. It was disgusting and all my guests were complaining i was so embarrassed. I was oh so pleasantly surprised!! Always trying to save when possible so I can go out to eat/etc more! So looked up the route of Groupon/restaurant.com discounts to see what's out there. Thank you yelp for deciding where to go!!! I've been here bar hopping for games. They have the back room with the big screen! The back room is also for parties and such. So this time we sat down for din din. Weekends they have live music that you want to listen too. So all your senses will be pleased! We ordered a slew of appetizers and one dinner to share. The seafood bisque and Cesar salad with bacon added for some crunch! The salad was made of fresh crisp greens and seasoned croutons. We also ordered buffalo shredded chicken and chips! (I added some extra kick to mine). The bisque has everything perfectly portioned and the flavors blended well. The baked clams --- agreed upon by the table that it was in the top 5! They were chopped so no chunks of clam for the weak... nice flavors of cheese and breadcrumbs. The top was subtly blackened and the inside was as fluffy as a my pillow! Not clammy tasting. The mahi mahi in general tso sauce didn't have a chance.! I was reluctant because I think local Chinese food style - omg just try it!! Veggies were awesome and loved the cauliflower all chopped up. I cannot speak highly enough of about the staff at Lily's. I had my daughter's 2nd birthday there yesterday in the Shannon room. I had 85 people total including 25 kids. It was insane. The staff handled it like pros. They were so helpful. They definitely went above and beyond and help with things that was not their responsibility. Jane and Tara were super attentive and I unfortunately can't remember the other two staff members but they were all great. The food was also amazing. The guests wouldn't shut up about it. I was in town for a hair cut and wanted to sit down for dinner, but not anything fancy. I enjoyed a Guinness while waiting for my food. The curly haired bartender checked in, but seemed uninterested. This place is pretty big. There is a parking lot which you can use, or if it's too crowded, you'll have to park on the street which is metered during specific times of the day. I'll give it to them for their wings, boned/boneless that was pretty tasty! The loaded potato (I forgot what it's called), filled with cheese and bacon, wasn't that good. Their chicken tacos were definitely on point though! Fries, gross. It's expensive for the amount that they give you. Two tacos for $12 - nothing on the side. I came here for a co-workers "Going Away" party. It was nice because we rented out a space, but I would never do it for myself. My friends had came here once on a Friday night. They said it was so crowded and stank so bad in there, that they walked around the entire restaurant once and walked right out the door. Their menu choices are slim, not much of a selection. We've been a few times now since the pandemic. I always knew Lily Flanagan's for their bar scene, but it's actually very family friendly and has a big outdoor, tented seating area. Everyone is very spaced apart and there are space heaters and TVs. We recently went on a Sunday afternoon and, despite the cold temperatures outside, under the tent was perfectly warm. Service was maybe a tad slow outside, but my family and I think the food here is great! They may be known more for cocktails and Irish dishes, but they have delicious burgers. My older son, a burger connoisseur, claims their Irish burger is the best hamburger in Babylon. My other son got a breakfast pizza for a Sunday brunch and it was huge, topped with fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon, and avocado slices. (I happily sampled.). I went with their traditional Shepherds Pie, which is great, but they also have amazing Korean beef tacos, which I never would have imagined. read more

Went here for my 15 year high school reunion over the past weekend, prob haven't been there in a decade. This was a 6 to 9 thing said the place wasn't overly crowded and we had the room upstairs connected to the outside area which was really nice and heated. It was $50 a person and they had a full open bar meaning Bacardi, Tito's and other hire end alcohols were covered; Along with a wide range of decent wine and beer. They had a standard appetizer set up of Swedish meatballs, a cheese plate and pigs in a blanket. Nothing super fancy but it hit the spot because I was starving. Next was the entrée chorus and I typically hate any type of wedding, catered event, Anything Soley because the reason is I hate having a limited selection and forced to eat the non-fish and chicken dish just because I don't prefer them.I came here ready to order a separate plate and let me tell you how they hadn't chicken Francois, Some kind of salmon and baked ziti. I normally don't even like Italian food like that but this ziti's sauce was delicious and I even went back for a second plate which is unheard of. Boyfriend had the salmon and said it was very good, later on he said he wished he had another piece. Didn't stay for the desert but as far as the who was concerned I would love to sit down and order off the regular menu. Food tends to be on the expensive side. When I have been there, especially in the winter, side doors were continually propped open by patrons which led to a seriously wide variation in the temperature of the room...from hot to freezing! Not fun when there is snow on the ground outside and it is winter time! Complaints to the staff went unheeded. Won't be going back anytime soon. Literally the worst pub that I have ever experienced. Walked in with a hoodie on in 30 degree weather and was forced to take it off. Not really sure how or why my hooded sweatshirt would effect any of the guests or staff. But wait, there's more. Under my hooded sweatshirt I was wearing a plain white t shirt with nothing on it. They proceeded to tell me that I was not allowed to wear that either and kicked me out. Will not be attending ever again and If you are, I suggest you call them to proof your outfit first. Didn't realize that was a thing. Edit : There were multiple guests wearing hooded sweatshirts inside and when I brought that to the attention of the bouncer he says, " I don't know what to tell you" rudely. read more
