My first time here, and it lived up to and exceeded all the five star reviews! The people working here are super nice. The food was great! I had the best Pork Mu Shu ever! These rice wrappers were the lightest and most tasty ever. It was a super generous portion of Hoison sauce - most skimp a bit on this. The actual Mu Shu was juicy, flavorful and so delicious. Dine experience. Clean, busy and fast. Met up with a friend while passing through and split the pot stickers and crab rangoons. Both were delish! We both agreed that the crab tasted real. Seeing the tables around us, the entrees looked sizable and smelled great! We ordered Honey Walnut Shrimp and the General Chicken with a side of Veggie Chow Mein. I have been coming here for years. The prices have gone up greatly, but the quality of ingredients have not. This time, 2 of our dishes were over-salted, the vegetables were undercooked, leaving them too hard, and there was a bug in one of the dishes that we ordered (to-go). The service was very good. We ordered 5 dishes. The combination fried rice was my favorite. It had shrimp, beef, onions, and rice and maybe more that I didn't notice. The chicken corn chowder was really good but you could request less salt if you prefer it that way. I also really liked the honey walnut prawn as the prawns were so big and walnut was really good. There was also pineapple in the honey walnut prawn dish and that was interesting. I never had the egg foo young but I ordered it to try it, it was really good with fried eggs on the bottom with sauce and some stir fry on the top. read more

I picked up an to go order the other night after work. I ordered the chicken noodle and manchuian beef since everyone on Yelp was having a good review on it. However, I m very disappointed about the Manchuian beef. The beef was hard to chew on and the outside batter was falling apart. So end up I only finished half of the dish and have to discard the rest. The 2 stars was for the chicken noodle which I think it was very good. I join the many others who love this place. I get the hot and sour soup and the sliced chicken in it is stabs out tender and plentiful. I get a big one for leftovers. Other favorite are Mongolian Beef, Curried Tofu, Mango Chicken, String Beans with Salmon (has lots of it), Garlic Prawns, & Szechuan Eggplant. Srsly, it's hard to decide what I'll pick. The staff, especially the hostess, was borderline rude but with some patience we warmed up our server. We had shrimp dumplings (excellent), basil chicken (ok) and not-on-the-menu orange beef (meh). Awesome Chinese restaurant! Went here last weekend and enjoyed everything! Their food tastes fresh and our vegetarian party had many items to choose from. Three generations of us were there and we loved every bite. Traditional Chinese American dishes, all made with extremely fresh ingredients and portions are generous. One of the better chinese foods in Petaluma, if not best. I've been here 3-4 times and each time service, food quality, and authenticity has been amazing. I do have to point out that they try to lean towards asian fusion, though successfully. For example, their chicken salad has fried chicken strips, but uses an asian dressing. Their crab rangoons (my absolute favorite!) is a little sweet and not as rich and heavy as the usual western ones. However, they always manage to pull it off! Everything I've had seems to hit the mark, such as the chow mein, broccoli beef, walnut shrimp, etc. I've taken friends and family here even though we live over an hour away - we usually just make a day trip out of it and find things to do in the area. read more

Is it the best ever - no but is it the most consistent and tasty place in Petaluma - well yes. Starting with the fact that they have cooks from different regions in China which gives their menu a real basis in actual Chinese food. Couple that with fresh ingredients and Peretti portion sizes and you have a really strong choice for Chinese food in Petaluma. The pork fried rice is simply the bomb as it has real barbecued pork pieces and not the super small diced pork that most restaurants serve.
