I missed National Cheeseburger Day, by several days. Today will be my late celebration of the wonderful American sandwich. Lilly's never disappoints. A juicy half pound burger dressed properly with LTPO & M, NO Mayo. My wife had fries and I got the rings. This is a burger that should be on every burger hound's list. It will not disappoint. April provided first class friendly service. Thank you, and see you next year on National Cheeseburger Day. Never a bad meal at Lilly's Diner!

Half eaten patty melt sorry it was delicious lol

Great homemade and good tasting food.. serves dinner and breakfast anytime they are open. Very good seasoned staff. Best patty melt I have ever eaten, wonderful hand, battered fish with fresh baked potato, we also had battered mushrooms that were excellent. This is basically like what I would say old-school diner, very busy, however service is spot on and food is piping hot and fresh when you get it. The place has booth and tables, and the temperature in the building is perfect. Great fine if you like doing what locals do!

Lilly's never disappoints! The atmosphere is off the charts. Just watching the interactions between the wait staff and the patrons, is top tier! Best diner coffee around as well! I got the All-In Skillet with seasoned home fries and was suggested by our waitress Alicia. It was amazing! I took 3/4ths of it home! Get over to this national treasure asap!

Coconut cream pie $3.99

Gave a 4 star because the biscuit was old & hard but was homemade .. ordered the veggie skillet and it was really good and ordered coconut cream pie which was really good too but please don't give customers old biscuits ( so disappointed in that ). Waitress was nice

It's so hard to find just a simple sausage gravy and biscuits meal in New York! So every time I visit my folks in Oklahoma I am eager to find a place that delivers the goods! The service was quick, which is really impressive considering it was one girl running the whole place. The price is amazing for all the food you get! Two open faced biscuits and sausage with delicious gravy, eggs and hash browns for like 7.50? Thank god I don't live around here... after a month I would look like the stay puft marshmallow man!

We were welcomed by the manager and Reima our waitress was very sweet and helpful! We could tell there were a lot of repeat customers. The diners were enjoying their food and the servers seemed happy to be there. They seemed to enjoy talking to their regulars. I got chicken fried chicken and Dan got chicken fried steak. Both were good, but mine was better. That might be because I always prefer chicken fried chicken. The way the Brookside diner prepares chicken fried chicken is outstanding. I got a large piece of chicken that filled my plate. It was also thick. Some diners pound thin pieces of chicken to the point it's so thin that it is overdone in the time it takes to get the breading crisp. Not Brookside. They produce a perfect chicken fried chicken, nice and crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. I noticed a chalk board listing the specials. The day we were there, it was meatloaf. I also noticed some tempting deserts which I plan to get when I don't eat such a large meal. I enjoyed my experience at the Brookside Diner. Looking forward to our next visit.

A scrambled or fried egg can only get just so bougie, same for bacon, pancakes, etc. What makes a diner stand out from the rest? In my experience it's ingredients sourced from suppliers that are outside the mainstream, and excellent service. This isn't Tally's. Tally's is a celebration of the mediocre. Once, years ago, I ordered a breakfast burrito and I got a white log on a plate that sat under a heat lamp too long. There was no sauce on it or anything on the side, just a slightly stale tortilla wrapped around some filling. Meh... I went again this morning hoping for a better experience. I ordered the corned beef hash since it's not a typical diner breakfast. Though there were only a few tables occupied it took 20+ minutes to get my food, and though it had a decent enough taste there was a chalkiness to it that put me off. I also opted for a biscuit rather than the pancake that appears on the menu, and it had a sourness to it that I just couldn't figure out. The biscuit and gravy were cold too. The staff seem to be disinterested unless you're a regular. The toaster caught fire and required three fourths of the staff to deal with it. Also, while I waited they brought out a plate of food that was apparently today's lunch special, and the entire staff stood around it taking pictures with their phones while I watched from my booth. Even the cooks came out! They totally ignored everyone in the dining room. This went on for 10+ minutes. However, on the positive side, I see loads of people eating at Tally's every day! It's very popular! They also serve meals to service members and others at the Holidays, so credit where credit is due. I'm happy they support the community. Good on them for that! I wish more restaurants did the same. For that they get a second star.

Phill sold the restaurant to Tim after owning the place for 23 years in 2020 when COVID hits its peak. After buying the place, Tim has never bothered to change the name on Yelp but the name has been changed to Tim's Diner on Google. The best thing about this diner is all the original staffs continue to work for the establishment bringing over their experiences as well of plenty of attitudes. All the employees are a little of "older" age and I love that. The only thing I don't like here is the tip system. You pay at the cashier in the front who will ask you if you would like to add a tip then the cashier would add a tip in for you and you don't have to sign anything. I prefer if they just charge me for the amount and give me the merchant copy and I can add a tip in myself. The way they're doing it puts pressure on their customers to tip. This diner has Tim's $8 favorites menu which is one of the best features, making breakfast very affordable. The food is delicious.
