    Grilled focaccia with spreads. 1000/10
    Becca B.

The grilled focaccia with spreads was to die for - probably the best appetizer I have ever had, and why I'm giving 4 stars. Sadly, the pepperoni pizza was disappointingly bland and the crust was flimsy. The carbonara was just ok for the price. Although the restaurant itself is cute and quaint, it was inconvenient to have the bathrooms be so far outside of the restaurant. I am really happy to have a vegan Italian restaurant, and would return to give some other menu items a try!

I reluctantly had not been to Lilla yet. That is until my date with my daughter to see Flightless Bird at the nearby Revolution Hall. Ellie, my daughter, had been several times before and so she ordered and she chose the place!! I am REALLY not a fan of "replacement" meat and prefer plant based. But she insisted that we had to get the meatballs. So we started with them. They were absolutely AMAZING. A bit softer than my mom used to make them, but I like that!!! SO big lol we each had 1.5 and man the red sauce, bread, the entire experience of this dish was a solid 5 star. I had acid from the tomato sauce, creamy sauce, flavorful meatballs and a crispy bread to mop up all this flavor with!!! Next our entrees were the Sundried tomato pesto, which I wasn't super excited about and the Margherita Pizza, which I feel defines a pizza place. A good margherita isn't hard to make but it's easy to mess up by making it too complicated. I take ALL the un-excitement back in regards to the Sundried tomato pesto. Wow was it PACKED with flavor!!! It wasn't too bold that it smacked you with flavor but it was all so subtly blended to make a delicious pesto. The pesto was creamy and the flavor of the Sundried tomato was perfect. We both really enjoyed the dish. The Margherita Pizza was also perfect. A perfect wood fired crust *chef's kiss* light sauce and perfectly topped with the right and light proportions of cheese, and basil. Oh my goodness so good. For dessert we shared the Olive Oil cake and again utter perfection. Such great flavors and they all came together to give this light cake it's fluffy texture and delicious taste. Everything we had was perfectly delicious. I cannot wait to go back. Our server was wonderful, we felt very welcome and very take care of. I absolutely love it here just as much as my daughter does. This is such a cute spot and we'll curated to feel homey and warm and open. I love the ceilings and the decor, and all the plants too!! HIGHLY recommend Lilla. Absolutely delicious Vegan Italian!

Excellent vegan food. You don't miss anything by eating the vegan food (sorry for the cliché ) here. The food is flavorful, very tasty and gratifying too. Abby who waited our table was very courteous. She was also very well versed with the vegan food on the menu and the ingredients. She ensured our dining experience was memorable. All dishes were unique with a distinct taste and presentation. Excellent choice of drinks. Appetizers were pretty good as well. Nice location. Decent prices. Good food is no accident, it requires good intentions behind it Thanks for all the staff and crew here for the thoughtful and earth friendly food

Vegan Italian with a lot of options! The restaurant is small and easy to miss when driving down Madison st. I would recommend reservations. I visited with a friend on a Friday night at 7:30. I ordered an Italian soda and my friend ordered a Mocktail. We split the eggplant tower and each ordered a pasta (two that our waitress recommended) The eggplant tower was fantastic. I love fried eggplant, and this had a light and crispy batter that was surprisingly gluten free. I had the carbonara and my friend got the spicy Alfredo. I tried both and I liked that hers was more creamy, but hers was indeed quite spicy. My carbonara was good, the faux pancetta totally fooled me, but the sauce did not compare to what I've had in Italy. The service was super friendly, and the ambiance was chill. Would recommend this for a low-key evening out. I would return to try some other items!

Loved this little spot! Came here for my late birthday meal and enjoyed everything from the house made meatballs to the pesto pasta to the friendly and chill service. They offer a full bar and nice portions. I didn't feel rushed which was also very nice! I would skip the desserts next time and I want to try a pizza next-- they looked amazing out of the oven.

My sister and I went to Lilla.. I've been wanting to return since going with my monthly vegan dining group last year. I texted the restaurant and they responded that their reservations were full, but we were welcome to try walk in, might be a wait. So we took our chances and headed over. We couldn't find street parking, but the paid parking close by was pretty empty and we parked there for $4. We walked in and started to put our name on the wait list, but was told we would probably be finished before the reserved party was set to arrive. It was nice to get seated right away. The plan was to share everything. We started out with the Caffè Martini..it was really good. I only had a few sips since I was driving. We started with Grilled Maitake Mushrooms..yumm! We also shared the Brussel Sprout salad, it was my sister's and my favorite of the meal! We got the Tagliolini al Pesto. It was good! My sister decided she wanted to try the Potato Leek soup, it was just ok. For dessert we shared the Orange & Olive Oil Cake. The service was great, we were checked on throughout our meal. My sister isn't vegan, but she really enjoyed the food. The ambiance of the restaurant has a fun vibe. Tip is included in the bill, when asked about it, we were told that they received a livable wage. It was a good experience for both of us! Definitely will be back!

Great little place! Came here with my parents, brother and boyfriend (I'm the only vegan) and everyone was very happy with their food. We called ahead (like 10-15m) on New Year's Eve and when we arrived they had a table set up for us already. The place is pretty small, but cozy and not too loud. The server (Abby) was super friendly and helpful. They 86'ed the Mushroom Risotto (which my dad wanted) because they ran out of an ingredient, but she asked the chef and they were able to work around it. It was still so delicious!! Everything we ordered arrived quickly. We got the focaccia to share, super yummy. I got the Rigatoni with artichoke cream, my mom got the bolognese, dad got the mushroom risotto, brother got the Carbonara Pasta, and my boyfriend got the spicy Alfredo; all our entrees were delicious and so filling--we were stuffed even though this place is plant based. Looking forward to leftovers tomorrow.

As a non-vegan I don't often eat at Vegan restaurants. However, due to the proximity of this one to my place we decided to come here one day. It has a cute intimate vibe to it and a cozy feel. Service was good. We weren't famished that day so we opted for a few soups and the Vegan Chicken Parm. Everything was delicious and I marveled at how closely the Vegan Chicken Parm resembled a real one. Thumbs up.

Can't wait to come back for more amazing vegan Italian fine dining! Food is fresh and well prepared. Salads are huge and great for sharing. Pasta is perfection - al dente texture and flavorful sauces. I'll skip the focaccia in the future, found it more of a very open and hard dry toast than the soft dense flatbread I prefer. The location is small, in a kinda strip mall. A few parking spots but mostly street parking. No tipping needed or encouraged. Employees are paid a decent wage so gratuity is included in the up front pricing (hence the slightly spendy menu). Been here twice now and service was fabulous both times. One front of house person obviously working very hard but still super friendly and both made great recommendations when we were waffling over the many amazing options.

I haven't been able to find a delicious vegan Italian since Portobello closed, but I'd consider Lilla for future dinings. The service was excellent. Our service was attentive and kind. Love the pour of Prosecco. It was paired well with my food. The croquettes were pleasantly delicious. While they're finger-length and -sized, the three pieces were filling and tasted similar to a fried mash potato. Super delicate. Delicious sauces too. I thought the pasta noodles were a little dry and too chewy. My carbonara was bland, but I liked the "bacon." I preferred the Alfredo better because of the toppings.

The food is beyond incredible, started off with breaded mushroom and meatballs, breaded mushroom came with two sauce, aioli and marinara sauce, tasted like calamari and it was delicious. The meatballs were sooo good as well. The appetizers came out relatively quickly. We tried the Mushroom Risotto (11/10), Carbonara (8/10), and Chicken Parmigiana (9/10). Breaded Mushroom was 12/10, and meatballs (9/10) As far as the service, Abby is great, attentive, and professional (12/10).

The food here was absolutely amazing. I had potato croquettes, Sundried tomato pesto, Alfredo & Mushrooms pasta and a side of Maitake Mushrooms. So delicious and beautifully prepared. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which really made the whole experience enjoyable. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Definitely a place I'd come back to!

They're open on Mondays, which is rare since many restaurants are closed, so it was nice to try it before leaving. My sister ordered the spaghetti and cheese with two large meatballs, garlic bread, and the Chicago beef with Italian sausage, and both were great. The meatballs were especially delicious. I just wish more were included, though extras are available to order. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sandwich which was very cheesey and flavorful. Afterward, we noticed you can add pepperoni and make it a "Chicken Parmeroni," which sounds like a better option. The large antipasta salad with balsamic vinegar was fresh and tasty, and it's nice that you can choose your dressing . I really love the antipasta salad! Overall, a really enjoyable meal and definitely worth recommending! Wish there had been time to try more of the menu.

Because the food was so damn good. Look - I'm going to start off by saying I grew up practically on The Hill. Out here, you'll have to Google it (make sure to add 'RI' to the search or you'll get some political BS), but back east, "alls you's have ta say" was those two words and anyone would know you knew your Italian, food and otherwise. There isn't anything on this coast that vaguely compares to The Hill's food, but walking into and biting out of Geraldi's was having a little piece of home. There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was like why I can find at home and amazing!! I'm still upset I didn't take pictures though!

Likely not visiting this location again... I was driving my…read moreson home from surgery and needed to grab food for the family after being at the hospital all morning. As I entered, the guy working the register apologized for being on his phone and put it away to help me. Very nice. I placed my order and he was very kind & patient. The 3 ladies standing in the prep kitchen continued with their very loud, all Spanish conversation, not really appearing to move to prepare any food (including for the two customers who entered after me). I don't care that it was Spanish, just that their conversation seemed to supercede the need to do their job in that moment... So, I took my waters & treats out to my family & returned for the entrees I ordered. As I re-entered, one customer left with an order, another sat at a table waiting for his order, and a to-go order remained on the counter. While I was waiting, the guy walked over & offered me the to-go order on the counter "if I wanted it because the customer canceled their order after the food was made and it would just have to be thrown out, unless someone wanted to take it." He did warn me that it had been sitting out for about 40 min so if I agreed to take it I should heat it well to be on the safe side. So I said sure. One of the ladies from the chatting trio had starting preparing some food, finished the order of the gentleman who ordered after me & then continued with my order. In the meantime, a manager, or assistant manager appeared from the back and was informed that I would be taking the abandoned to-go order. They approached and said, "are you sure? It's been out for a while." I inquired about how long, and they said over two hours. AT THAT POINT, WHY IS IT STILL SITTING ON THE COUNTER AND BEING OFFERED TO CUSTOMERS?! SO NOT SAFE! So I declined that food & just waited for my order, which was taking a long time. When my third & final entree was completed, the guy at the register pointed out that they used the wrong kind of chicken & slid it back to a woman in the prep area. However, I had already been waiting too long & said just let me take it as is. She hesitated while her friend was still chatting away at her so I busted out my fluent Spanish to say, I don't have time to wait for you to fix the mistake because you were too busy chatting with your friends. The guy was apologizing but I told him he didn't have to apologize since he wasn't the one that messed up the order. Maybe that (assistant?) manager needed to spend less time in the back and more time clearing counters of old food and redirecting employees.
