Atmosphere: Nice, intimate atmosphere with a couple outdoor tables. Only downside was that a loud homeless guy lingered in the area for a bit which was a bit of a deterrent but other than that no complaints. Food: Food was very good. Highlights included the Caprese Salad and the Sugo di Carne. We also enjoyed the other dishes as well though. Price: Prices were reasonable given the portion size and quality Service: Good service Parking: Street parking

Burrata special and short rib pappardelle (pork)

Cute spot for a romantic date night! A bit overpriced and a few hidden fees - we got a burrata special and thought it came with bread but the bread was extra. Making the special out to be $27. We might have chosen something differently if we knew the cost! I also ordered a short rib pappardelle pasta expecting something with beef and a sort of darker sauce but it ended up being pork and didn't taste bad but reminded me of a chicken noodle soup with the flavor combination. I probably just ordered wrong and should have asked more questions but I was hoping for something a bit different! Not a stand out meal, but definitely good and I'd give them another chance! Staff was super friendly.

We made a reservation a couple of days before the dinner. We got seated immediately. The waitress was very nice to answer our questions. The food is mild and delicious. The pasta dishes are very rich. The only complain I have is the halibut was overcooked.

Came here with my colleagues. Cute restaurant. We sat upstairs. Rob was our server. He was attentive and humorous. I was impressed by how they brought drinks and food skillfully up and down the narrow stairs. Restaurant had a romantic vibe. Small but still able to have great conversation and laughter with friends. Lots of folks on dinner dates. Couldn't decide between gnocchi and short rib ragu. I ordered the short rib ragu based on Rob's recommendation. It's pork, but very rich. The pasta was delicious. 20% gratuity on larger parties. It's worth it to give this place a try. Make a reservation if you have a larger party.

Cute place. It's small but food was really good. I ordered the Gamberi e Pomodoraccio. It was so good & had a spicy kick which was perfect. Also tried the Negroni & it was very different from anything I've ever tried. I don't think it's a drink for me but glad I tried it. Staff were friendly. The bathroom has a tub filled with corks which was very interesting.

Spaghetti Carbonara that I had to make look good by adding slices of baguette and pepper.

The smaller waiter with short hair was great at making me feel valued by letting me know the specials/soup/ fish of the day. He's the only reason this restaurant is getting a 4 star. Otherwise, I would've given it a 3 star. I ordered a glass of Chianti, the baguette and Spaghetti Carbonara. There was a fruit fly that was flying around my food and it was a little annoying. I wished the carbonara had pepper cooked in it. I had to ask for pepper and the waiter let me keep it at the table. That's how carbonara is cooked. Also, look at the presentation in the picture of the carbonara and how lob-sided it is. The cook just didn't give af. Just taking the time to make it more round if you're gonna serve it on a round plate. Most of the pastas were $24 so the 2 dollar signs should really be 3. The baguette was ok and loved that they had olive oil at the table. But yea I knocked a star down for presentation (the first pic is me adding the baguette to cover the lobsided part) second pic is how it came.

We came to Allora for a saturday night date night. The inside was cute with wine bottles lining the walls. Service was good and efficient. We started with some cocktails that were solid. The bruschetta trio was good, though it needed some salt. We shared 2 pastas (amatriciana and sugo di carne) that were both good. The flavors were solid but nothing to write home about. Overall Allora is a solid italian spot in the pearl district with some basic home style italian food.

    Halibut and pasta. Very good!

We had a great dinner here. The staff was helpful with drink orders and food orders. I had the Halibut with pasta. It was great! The fish was fresh and the sauce worked perfect with the dish. The pasta was very good maybe the best pasta I have ever had. We sat out side on a beautiful night.

A friend and I visited Allora when staying in Portland. We found them after searching for something hearty when returning to the city after a long day of hiking up on the coast. Allora is a small and cozy restaurant with a beautiful ambiance. We were seated immediately upon arriving and were taken care of by a friendly and attentive server. We ordered bread, wine, and different pasta dishes. I ordered the rigatoni nico and enjoyed it so much. The pasta was delicious and the flavor of the sauce was wonderful. I'd definitely recommend checking out this Italian spot if ever in the Portland area.

This place has been on my list for a while. It was a great spot for date night and had a very romantic feel. The espresso martini and burrata were incredible! Services was a little slow but that may be some's preference. The pasta was good but felt incredibly over priced. I will return for the martini.

We headed to dinner Friday night to @allora_pdx for some of the best Italian With both indoor and outdoor seating, we chose to sit inside to beat the heat. The dining room had an intimate feel, low volume and was very cozy. Everything is made in house, and the flavors are perfect! If you go, you must try the ravioli, calamari, and the Nico pasta. End your night with an espresso martini and crème brulee. Exceptional service from the second you walk through the door.

I have been coming to Allora since 2009. I make it a point to go at least twice a year. Allora is the type of restaurant you bring someone to when you want to impress them. I've never had a negative experience and every time I visit it just gets better. The awesome atmosphere, the friendly wait staff, and the amazing food makes this place the perfect Italian restaurant.

YUMMY food and drinks at this place. The wait and bar staff are super friendly and always willing to answer any questions or make helpful recommendations. Perfect little spot for a date or simply just to meet up with a friend or loved one. Their prices are also reasonable and seem fair. If you show up early right at their open, you'll find the whole place practically to yourselves while it tends to get busier as it gets later. Definitely worth checking this place out!

Dearest gentle readers,…read more A most scandalous correction must be issued how careless of me. The establishment in question is none other than the divine Grassa, a name that now rolls off the tongue with the same richness as its most indulgent fare. And oh, what fare it is. Here, along the lively stretch of Portland, one may witness noodles brought to life before their very eyes fresh, authentic, and handled with a confidence that borders on audacity. These delicate strands are then enrobed in a mac and cheese so decadently composed, so brazenly elevated, that it dares to redefine comfort itself. And just when one believes it cannot be improved enter the pig belly. Crisp, tender, and unapologetically rich... a finishing touch that transforms the dish into something whispered about in only the most exclusive of circles. Yes, dear reader, this is the sort of indulgence that lingers long after the final bite... the kind that ruins lesser versions without remorse. And so, with that final truth properly set, I take my leave once more. The tales of this fair city draw to a close, but not without leaving behind a most delicious legacy. Until our next adventure ever eastward. Yours most faithfully,

Who is very friendly and paid us a visit during our recent and superb happy hour outing. I needed a place within walking distance from my place and also needed something vegan friendly for my friend Nadia. She ordered the magherita pizza without cheese. Aria ordered the gnocchi. I went with the mozerella stuffed ravioli. Portions were generous. Everyone but me was able to finish theirs. I just couldn't manage to eat the last one. The bartender, God bless her, whipped up a spirit forward absinthe cocktail for me that just rocked. There is a long bar and several cozy booths. The verdict: Gilda's is a top notch happy hour spot.
