First time here. Saw it in the area when we were looking for parking and decided to try it for dinner instead of where we were planning. We're so happy we did. The food was wonderful! Nothing was too heavy and the portions were perfect sized. They don't have a large menu but you don't need one. You just pick your hand made pasta and sauce to pair and it's perfect. It's on the smaller side so they may recommend reservation but we didn't have any wait time really when we just walked up. I can't wait to go back. read more

The service was excellent. I ordered a wine I didn't care for, and our server noticed my expression right away and kindly asked if everything was okay. I mentioned I wasn't loving the wine, and she immediately offered to replace it. I switched to a Sangiovese, which was delicious. The cheese ravioli was good, and the chard ravioli was very good. The bread was just okay and not my favorite. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. If we're in the area again, we would definitely dine here again. read more

Definitely a hidden gem in the NW area. Fresh pasta made everyday! They have been in this location for over 20 years now. Clearly they're doing something right. They are always busy so come at a good time! Reservations are only for 8+. They have a nicely heated patio area. Amazing drinks and super friendly staff! We love the pesto here that's also made fresh daily. Ample wine selection and free fresh bread! Portions are just right and their food is not heavy at all! Justa Pasta is a lovely neighborhood restaurant with a great menu. I enjoyed the mushroom Alfredo Lasagna while family members had halibut over pasta, a pancetta bucatini and a chicken marina lasagna. The service is attentive and friendly. My parents used to frequent this place. I wanted to take them out for dinner (for my bday!) and they grumbled about so many places so we decided to come their regular. It was amazing as always, but actually better. The service and staff were beyond. The manager (blonde glasses?) can read your soul. I was busy trying to order for my tween and elderly parents and she saw how I was overwhelmed and brought me a lovely cocktail, allowed me to charge the tween iPad, and brought my elders a paper menu because... obv. The house made spinach pasta was so good and my kid devoured his bolognese. I got the most delicious prawns with spicy garlic. And the Caesar is impeccable!!! My picky teen devoured it. For a single man juggling kid and elder parents this was the most awesome night with my own needs attended to. When I confessed how I was struggling the lovely manager ? Was so awesome in reading our needs and relating. I feel like I went for the pasta, and left after having therapy. What a lovely evening. Amazing crew and delicious food and wine. Recently dropped by to checkout this place for lunch. The space was nice, open, full of light and not as small as it appeared in some of the pictures I'd seen. Our server was very kind and was very attentive. I had the chicken risotto lunch special and it was very tasty and very filling. My wife had the half lasagna half salad special. The tomato sauce has a bit of a sweet taste but doesn't take away from the delicious dish. As is customary in these restaurants, we also started with delicious bread and olive oil. Cocktails were refreshing and were all reasonably priced for the area. We were happy to find this gem in the neighborhood and look forward to our next visit. read more

Atmosphere: Nice restaurant and spacious patio with enough room between tables to not feel crowded. Great to enjoy on a nice day. Food: The Alfredo Pasta was great. You could taste the fresh homemade chew off the pasta and the sauce was a perfect creaminess not too thin or thick. The chicken was good although I hoped for maybe a little more with the dish. Bread was great as well. My fiancé got the Kale Caesar Salad which I did not taste but she enjoyed. Price: Not the cheapest pasta but the lunch one is a little cheaper so it was not outrageous either. We also chose to add chicken to the pasta and shrimp to the salad which added a little. Can't believe we didn't find this place sooner! Wanted to avoid crazy parking and crowds on 23rd and boy are we glad we happened into this neighborhood. Everything was amazing, from the welcome (nice to meet you, Roland!) to our server (what? Bread and oil when you're seated?), to the friendly gentlemen waving hello from the kitchen! Spinach salad was fantastic (really flavorful feta!), we loved our pasta (the red sauce is SO fresh and tangy!), my mocktail was perfect, and OMG if there is coconut cake...just say "yes." As someone in the event industry, I know how rare it is to find a venue that truly has it all: great food, amazing service, fun drinks and a unique, cozy atmosphere. Roland's attention to detail is outstanding, and it really shows in every aspect of the experience. One thing that stood out to me was how genuine and happy his staff were to be part of our event. It was clear they take pride in what they do. I also appreciated seeing Roland actively involved and leading by example--you don't often see leaders so hands on. He has created such a positive, welcoming environment that makes it easy for guests to relax and enjoy themselves. We went here at a recommendation of a friend whose business is around the corner from this restaurant (thanks Cristina!), and were welcomed in and started off with fresh bread and olive oil/vinegar (which was great by the way). After scanning the QR code for the menu, we ended up getting the organic Kale Caesar salad (recommended by my friend), which was very flavorful and each bite had the perfect amount of dressing in it. My buddy who ate with us said it was the best Kale salad he's ever had! They have options to add protein but we just wanted a light lunch and it was just right. ----TL;DR--- Pros: flavorful, friendly staff, reasonable prices, good location, healthy, fresh! One of my favorite restaurants in Portland going on 10+ years now. They have some of the freshest more flavorful Italian dishes i've ever had. The freshly made pasta make all the difference and I love that you can grab some freshly made pasta to-go for at home use as well. The 3 cheese raviolis with pesto is my go-to dish, but on this visit their Halibut special was also absolutely to die for and good perfectly with a moist inside and light crisping on the outside. You also get fresh focaccia and plain bread with oil and balsamic glaze when you first sit down which is a great addition. The staff and owner is always so friendly and accommodating. The food, staff, and atmosphere made this place a go-to for any special occasion or date night. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time now and I am so happy I finally did! Food: 9/10 absolutely divine! Fresh pasta, fresh prawns, seasoned well, perfect portion size, served HOT and timely! Both my friend and I had enough for leftovers the next day. I loved that there were fresh garlic cloves (I love garlic) in my sauce. The after dinner drink was just the perfect way to end the night. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend for a cute date night or a girls night. We tried a seafood linguine which was great - nice & creamy without being too heavy or creamy & fresh light flavors w/ parsley & cherry tomatoes. Could've been a bit more generous w/ the clams but still good. We also shared a dessert, I forget the name but it was something like Paris Breast or something lol. This place NEVER disappoints. I 1000% recommend it. The food is always amazing. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Yesterday I had one of the most amazing Mocktails I have ever had. The 'Summer Refresher' was incredible and I truly hope it's available even after summer. It was a light, minty, foamy masterpiece. The outdoor seating is a big plus too. I dined there last evening, only my second time at this restaurant. The food is good, I enjoyed the chicken Caesar salad. Chicken was cooked thoroughly and moist on inside, lemony Caesar dressing. However, the service is s-l-o-w. It took the hostess checking on us then reminding server we were there to even get acknowledged. Even then everything was very slow. Food was delivered long before the drinks. It seems like no one's in sync. Would be nice to be acknowledged by someone when waiting, waiting, waiting. read more

I was so unsure what to get between the linguine with clams (my most favorite food) or bolognese. I chatted with the waitress and she let me know both are great and go with the daily special of linguine with clams because they always have the bolognese. The portion was just enough to where you still have room for dessert. My friend (who'd been here before) suggest we get the cheesecake because it's the best he's ever had and he doesn't even like cheesecake! Okay, twist my arm. The cheesecake was delicious. Dropped by Justa Pasta on a weeknight and was able to get a table for 3 pretty quickly! We were given some bread for the table which was delicious -- who's going to have negative things to say about bread~ My friends both had the carbonara while I went with the butternut squash ravioli in brown butter sage. They enjoyed their pastas and I personally liked my ravioli as well. The bites with the lightly fried sage were A+. Service was friendly but there was a little bit of a mixup where we were charged for our bottle of wine twice. We didn't notice till we all got home, but thankfully had one copy of the receipt and were able to call the restaurant and have the charge reversed and refunded to our cards. There a couple of parking spots right by the entrance but also street parking is pretty easy nearby. Swing by if you want some pasta goodies and a fun time. read more

Delicious pasta! How have I never been here before? Started with a spinach salad with goat cheese and pine nuts, perfectly dressed. The fresh bread and olive oil they give every table was also delicious. For my main I chose chicken Parmesan. A simple dish but not always made properly. The chicken was thin, rips on the outside from the breadcrumbs, and so tender inside. Topped with a flavorful marinara and melted mozzarella it hit the spot! Loved that they served this over bucatini pasta rather than the traditional linguini. Nice upgrade! The serving was large so I had half for lunch the next day, an added bonus. My friend had the fresh tagliatelle with olive oil, chile and finely minced castelvatrano olives which gave the typical Aglio e Olio a unique flavor. When the dish came it was lukewarm and we asked to have it remade. The waiter was very apologetic and accommodating. When the dish arrived again, it was freshly made, the pasta was steaming hot and it was delicious. I would definitely order this next time! For desert we split the chocolate bread pudding which they gave us on the house for messing up the pasta. Very nice! A bottle of an Italian blend accompanied the meal, a bolder red that we both loved. Indoor and outdoor seating, casual and comfortable. We sat outside and there are rows of heaters above which kept us very comfortable in a cold and rainy night. While Justa Pasta has mixed reviews, I had a great experience and am already looking forward to going back. The lasagna, bolognese and ravioli are calling my name! read more
