    Beet salad

Chef's kiss to the food and cocktail at Adelleda! I was a huge fan of Unwind when the food cart was located at Company in SE Belmont. I love how the restaurant has been transformed from Flour Bloom into a Adelleda. The food was so delicious! We started off with the beet salad. The salad tasted like bacon, which was unexpected, but delicious. There was espresso yogurt inside the salad, and it was so tasty especially with all of the natural ingredients. The fried mozzarella melts in your mouth. I definitely recommend the winter sangria because there's a cheese plate for one that you can get samples of their cheese instead of getting a cheese board for two. The work hard definitely had a strong orange zest to the cocktail and there was a coffee bean inside the ice. The pasta dishes were delicious as always and I felt like the portion was huge!! The bucatini was my favorite, but I also loved how the Parisian gnocchi was dense and flavorful. I really tasted the rosemary sauce along with the fresh hazelnut and cranberry. It was very delicious. Overall, I can't wait to go again. It's definitely an ideal time for an upscale dinner.

Had a fantastic dinner here with my partner for my birthday. The space is just gorgeous and so aesthetic. The hostess sat us and even had a little birthday hat for me which was a super nice touch. We ordered drinks. I made sure my partner order the martini that come with an entire plate of delicious veggies. One of the coolest parts of this is the cheese stuffed olives it comes with; a thing dairy-free people have most likely never tasted. He said he would order this again in a heart beat. For my drink I had the Travel More which is essentially a Mai Tai and I was very happy with that. For starters we got the fried squash sticks and the arancini, both incredible. Still trying to figure out the flavor of the dip they came w the squash, but it was fab. For entrees we had the fussili and the bucatini. The fussuli was SPICY but so good you can totally power through the spice. The bucatini had an amazing creamy, peppery sauce. The portions here are MASSIVE! So for two people you could definitely get away with one entree. This was such an amazing, luxe experience. We will absolutely be back.

Cheeseshop by day, vibey upscale cocktail bar and European glam restaurant by night. Big open space with lots of seating including standard tables, booths, some bar seating, a little library area with sofas, and an open shop area also with sofas and low tables. Gets a little noisy when full but still able to hold a conversation. Came here for the food and was not disappointed. Olives were amazing a huge portion. Sunchoke small plate was tasty, though not as pasty as the fried Brussels with kohlrabi relish and sumac. Salty and umami and infinitely snackable. We sampled two pastas: agnolotti and fusilli. I'd never had agnalotti before (or even heard of it) and was blown away. Soft chewy pillows of pasta stuffed with cheese, a little like a ravioli but totally different shape and texture experience. Highly recommend. Wasn't planning on cocktails but after seeing the menu couldn't resists. The maize and cane was a show stopper. Coconut corn cream? Sounds weird, tastes amazing. Presentation was a little over the top . Looking forward to trying more of the menu!

    My incredible rigatoni

Adellada is that rare place that evokes both nostalgia and novelty. The service is warm and attentive, like being hosted amongst great friends. The ambience is modern and classic. The food is familiar and phenomenal. My wife and I ordered the cheese plate for two, the smoked apricot salad, the fusilli and rigatoni. I opted to add porcini mushrooms and tempeh to my rigatoni, which I'd highly recommend. Every dish was extraordinary. The smoked apricot salad was tangy with a hint of mesquite. The cheese plate was eclectic, decadent, and ample. Additionally, my rigatoni was cooked al dente, with a bright pesto, toasted pine nuts, succulent mushrooms, tempeh, and vegetables. Finally, our server, Matt, was funny, ingratiating, and really responsive. It was the best service and meal we've had in a long time, probably since our last visit to Plum Bistro. Portland has some great vegan restaurants, count this among the best.

Upscale setting with attentive service. Every dish we had tasted amazing and there was such attention to detail. Definitely will be back. The melon ball fizz drink was delicious. You can also buy some cheese from the case to take home.

I feel so thankful to have been able to check out Adelleda on their opening night. Located inside the new Vtopian location, the ambiance is cozy and intimate. They have a beautiful little library to enjoy, along with a wide variety of vegan cheeses and treats. The staff here were all super friendly and attentive. My family and I tried various dishes. Each dish was unique and thoughtfully put together. Made with seasonal ingredients, each dish was fresh and tasty. One thing I was particularly disappointed with, however, was the lack of mushrooms they used. I found myself digging to see if they may have forgotten to add any only to find a few very small cut pieces. At a higher price point, I would have liked to have more vegetables in each dish too. Overall, my experience dining here was enjoyable and I would consider dining here again in the future.

Even going on a Monday night, it was packed with people, however, we were able to snag a table for two without a reservation right away. The service was attentive and helpful. Our server was friendly and quick. She answered questions and described the specials. They have gluten free focaccia!!!! It was super yummy, but it was also served kinda cold. Worth it. We ordered the fresh catch, which was halibut with some potatoes and grilled asparagus. The accompanying sauces were delicious. The asparagus was good. The white potatoes though had been cooked previously and weren't reheated enough. They were described as new potatoes but were definitely large chunks of russets. They were hard to eat. So we didn't. We also had the Punta di Fesa which is a braised beef dish with mushrooms on polenta. The balsamic mushrooms and polenta were so flavorful and delicious. It was a good thing that my husband started with this dish (we traded halfway through and had plenty to eat!) because I would have eaten his share of the polenta too. The beef however was dry and not what I would have expected from a braised beef. When we were given a knife, we were told we probably wouldn't need it. We did. The service here was friendly and helpful. Our server was knowledgeable about gluten free needs and recommended a great bottle of wine that went well with our fish AND the beef (which is tricky...yummy Chianti AND half price!). It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night at 7. There were people that ended up waiting but not too long. There are shelves of Italian goods all around you. My husband said he felt like he was eating in a store. You kind of are, but it was still cozy. I plan to come back to try the gluten free pasta and maybe a lunch sandwich if they have solid gf options there. Also, the dessert menu looked great. We were just full.

Let me start by saying I didn't take pictures. For anyone who reads my reviews, that's a big part…read moreof them: ALL THE PICTURES. Presentation, portions, half eaten, etc... but I didn't. Because the food was so damn good. Look - I'm going to start off by saying I grew up practically on The Hill. Out here, you'll have to Google it (make sure to add 'RI' to the search or you'll get some political BS), but back east, "alls you's have ta say" was those two words and anyone would know you knew your Italian, food and otherwise. There isn't anything on this coast that vaguely compares to The Hill's food, but walking into and biting out of Geraldi's was having a little piece of home. There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! I'm still upset I didn't take pictures though!
