Cute new option for downtown drinks and food. You can get the same food they offer at Dolly Olive but served up faster and in a more casual fashion. My party of 3 sat at the bar so we could check out everything behind it. I really like how they've transformed the space to be more inviting and bright. Great cocktails!

We walked into Dolly Olive but it was pretty full, so the host graciously offered to walk us around the corner to Bar Dolly while she explained that we can order from the full menu if we desired. We were seated quickly inside this not-too-small cozy space and shared the farm greens salad, shortrib arancini, and the sweet corn Triangoli. Everything tasted fresh and herb-y, making for some great comfort food after a day walking around the convention center. The Triangoli was much lighter than expected, which we appreciated. Note that there is a 3% charge on your bill total before tax and tip. We hope to return again soon and try the restaurant next!

    Adorable, clean, and bright space!

We were lucky enough to stumble across Bar Dolly on their second day open and our last day in Portland! The space is adorable, clean, and bright. The staff were super friendly and just attentive enough. Everything we tried, from the cocktails to the food, was so good and really thoughtfully prepared and presented. We thought the shortrib arancini was a tad sweet, but still tasty. The focaccia, Caesar, and prawns were incredible - don't miss them!

Solid cocktails, alright atmosphere, fine service. The menu left much to be desired if you're hoping for small/bar plates.

Inside is dark and cozy, perfect for a rainy afternoon or evening. My only complaint is there is a lot of wood and all the hard surfaces don't reflect noise so it's sometimes challenging to hear. They have a wonderful assortment of wines and not all local. For me, that's a good thing. Yes I love a Willamette Valley Pinot or a Washington Cabernet, but I get a lot of those when I'm visiting these areas, which I do frequently. At Muse you can enjoy a red from France, Spain, Italy, as well as local. Lots of whites and some bubbles, too. You can do a tasting of three half glass pours of your choice, or order a glass. Some nights they have tastings that they have preselected. Last night, based on Alex's recommendation, after telling him my preferences, I had the 2021 Crozes-Hermitage from Paris. It was a bigger red, but so smooth. Next I went with the Rioja Gran Reserva which was more fruit forward. Another winner. Their cheese and jam plates are fabulous, the cheese especially delicious, and pair perfectly with the wines. Have a feeling I'll be back frequently to this charming neighborhood wine since my friend works out next door, so it's a perfect meeting spot.

It's a small spot with dim lighting and huge windows, for those of us who like to watch the world pass over a bold red. If you're looking for a place to go to feel slightly mysterious and you'd like to be the most interesting person in the world for an hour or so, this is the place to go! Amazing recommendations from the staff, as well. They know their wines! Just describe your favorite taste or feeling. No need to know wine lingo for them to know exactly what you want.
