The Rundown: a truly local vibe offering a unique intimate setting while feeling both casual and classy. Sipping on drinks is almost always a great time! The Review: the staff here are fantastic, offering a decent drink menu to fit any taste with enjoyable service that matches the casual vibes they give off. The seating and lighting is intimate, with a variety of unique visuals to keep things interesting. It's part of a variety of small hole in the wall type bars, so if you're bar hopping it's easy to hit up when exploring Mills!
It's very small but super cute! The drinks are really good. I had the honey boo boo and it's literally a drink in a honey bear jar! So cute! I drank it so fast so I didn't get the chance to take a pic of it. They have nice drinks though. Most drinks are 13 and up price. The bartenders are very nice as well. I enjoyed my time and may be back if it with my friends again in this area. There is no cover fee which is nice and their bar is racked up. Tons of variety of bottles of liquor. They can prob make you any drink.
Looking for a dive bar feel with upscale cocktails from a mixologist? Look nextdoor to Will's Pub and try Lil Indies. The decor has old school feel to it with random art work decorating the walls of the establishment. They even have a corner stage area where they host artist, but just know this is a tiny location with 1 bathroom from what I could see. There is a bit of outdoor seating as well and area for smoking outside as well. They also have a Happy Hour which is 20% off cocktails from 4pm-8pm which is a great time to try it out as they have many cocktail options. Also the bartender was great, very friendly and attentive, with skills at mixing up the cocktails. All in all this is a great little place to check out if you are on Mills.
One of my favorite dive spots on Mills that's always a good vibe, whether it's the friends, the live music, cocktails or events going on. Must to stop especially if you bar hop around Mills.
Perfect bar, perfect vibe, perfect lighting, perfect drinks, super cool vibe, bomb music. I will definitely be coming back. New fav!
Lil Indies is truly a hidden gem in the Mills area. It has a dive bar feel with great drinks and excellent DJs. The bartenders seem knowledgeable about the drinks and are super helpful when you are trying to make a choice. The music is typically great and I like that it isn't so rowdy that you can't carry a conversation with your party. I look forward to future visits to this cool little establishment.
If you blink, you might miss it. It's in the same "Complex" as Will's Pub and the entrance is right beside Plantees on Mills. The quaint little bar had an awesome staff making some damn good craft cocktails. We went in before a show at Will's Pub and some of the others in the crowd had the same idea, luckily it was a bit after we did as the line got kind of long. They also have some kinds of events and I'm not sure about how they operate, but if you're in the area and they're open, stop in and try a cocktail. They have a nice selection of alcohol too!
I found this place by looking up bars in the Mills district. Damn lil indies you did NOT. Disappoint!!! I love how the ambiance reminds me of that 70's show mixed with grandma's house! It has a really nice sound inside- they've got live music. They're in between plantees and will's pub. I absolutely love this vibe; laid back and chill. Now let's talk drinks they've got about 4 drafts and drink options are so funky. They're drinks range from $9-$15 depending on the drink. I ordered the Hey Boo Boo- it's vodka, pomegranate tea, yuzu liquor, cranberry and orange bitters. They batch it at Will's Pub Next door- so it's made daily. It comes in a little honey squeeze bottle- giving me Pooh bear vibes! It has a kick and is a bit sour but it's sweet at the same time! I definitely recommend coming here! 10/10 What a gem of a find!!
Such an edgy and cute little tucked away bar. I stepped in for a drink and was pleased with the nicest bartenders and fast service I got! I forgot the name of the drink I got but it came in an adorable honey bear jar paired some some gummy bears! I wasn't a complete fan of the flavor, but I liked the aesthetic. There was another bar in the back, which hasn't opened up yet as it was still early. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back as this place was quirky and filled with personality. They also had a live performer there that night which was nice
Came to see Nesto's jazz trio. Chill atmosphere and good drinks. My drink had gin black sea salt and basil. It was only nine bucks so reasonably priced. It wasn't too packed which we loved. It's a small spot with friendly staff
Lil Indies is a wonderful little hidden spot for live music and good drinks. I was impressed by the bar staff and the jazz trio when we went. Prices are fair. Was visiting from NC, and I wish we had a location like this! 5 star service.

This is my comfort bar. I hadn't been back since the pandemic but when I saw DJ BMF was spinning 90's R&B , I did what I had to do. Lil Indies is one of my favorite spots in Orlando. It's hipster without being pretentious , divey while still making some of the best cocktails in the city. If you want to be cool, this is where you go.
My favorite dive bar. Was pretty empty on Friday around 8pm and suddenly the DJ set up his table and we were all jamming out to 80-90s music. Do I remember at what time? No I'm sorry, I was lost in the groove FINALLY, a place to dance on mills with great music and unique to your simple basic drinks and if you don't like music or dance there's an outdoor seating area around back. There is only 1 bathroom and it's inside. read more
Appreciation for Brit -- The Great Bartender at Lil Indies March 24th, 2026 -- Lil Indies, Mills 50, Orlando Ashley, my family, and I had an incredible time at Lil Indies, thanks in large part to Brit, the amazing bartender who made the night unforgettable. The atmosphere was already great, but Brit elevated everything with exceptional service, a welcoming energy, and spot on drink recommendations. Whatever Ashley was looking for, Brit nailed it every time. It is rare to find someone who can read the room, craft fantastic drinks, and make everyone feel at home all at once. Lil Indies has always had a unique charm, but Brit made this visit something special for all of us. We left smiling, relaxing, and already talking about coming back. Fun little spot! Definitely and interesting vibe going on lol. It has looks of a divey type bar, but high class craft cocktails. I love the drinks, I got this one that came in a honey bear. Super cute! They do have a patio area to hangout in the front and out back. There's also a little tiki bar out back on the patio as well. Definitely a fun stop along mills! read more

Came into Lil Indies tonight to grab a drink before my birthday festivities! The inside is very cozy and has college-hipster-house vibes. I sat at the bar in the back and ordered the Colors of the World from the chalkboard menu. The drink was very tart and spicy, not my favorite but they could have made anything by order. There was a stage in the back and open space for a crowd. read more
Not sure if a dive bar, or grandma's basement, or both, but positive vibes, live music, nice selection of liquor with select drafts. Friendly bartender. Vintage furniture and open jam space. Seems to be appealing to post college to mid 50's range, rather mixed but good vibes. A place that can cater to a fair range of people looking for nice atmosphere and a decent drink. For my drink I had a "Under No Conditions" composed of Bar Hill Gin, vanilla, dandelion root, honey, lemon, aquafaba. It was frothy, delightfully citrusy. The floral notes are settle but present, complementing the citrus and sweet notes nicely, with the lemon balancing out the sweet with a bit of tart. read more
Really great and strong cocktails. I had the L&T express, a gin based cocktail that will set you back $11 and I definitely felt like I got my moneys worth cause I got tipsy after 3. They have live music starting at 7pm on Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's. This ranges from indie, to rock and folk, soul. Around 10pm they switch it up and bring a DJ. Very chill place. Funky decoration and vintage furniture make up the environment. read more

Love this spot! Mainly because you would have no idea what they serve based in what it looks like outside. There's super cool seating areas inside with funky couches, music is good and the cocktail selection is veryyyyy nice. The bartenders all have been consistent when we go and they can make regular cocktails or serve beer as well. They have a daily HH which is 20% off from 3-6! read more

This place was dead inside when we got there and didn't really have the drinks I enjoy, but they could have made anything off menu. I did try a drink in the honey bear which was very good a strong. We ended up sitting outside which is actually another bar. The bartenders were very nice though, I'd go back. read more
Came in for Friday night live music after some good grub! Vibe/service was great. After a couple of beers, I went on to try the whiskey sours and they were brilliant! Overall, the atmosphere with the music and good company made for a great night. Awesome drinks! While visiting Orlando I looked up best mixologist and found Lil Indies. We went and were not disappointed! The bartender Jennifer was very nice and made our amazing drinks. We went on a Saturday around 5pm so we made Happy Hour. It was not very busy, I like because the bartenders can take their time with making drinks. It was a very cute little place. It is sandwiched in by 2 other bars with the same owner. I really like the vibe it was very different. We liked it so much that after we went to eat we came back the same night. I had the Whiskey Smash which was good and my fiancé had the Waterford 76 which he enjoyed and also had another when we returned. My second time around I had the Happy When it Rains which was rum based and very good. We loved it and will definitely return the next time we go to Orlando. read more

Lil Indies is one of my favorite Orlando spots. The vibe is super laid back and I always feel welcome, plus they have great cocktails too! The atmosphere is very antiquey but with low lighting so it makes it a little spooky which I love. Like one of the photos on the wall might stare at you as you walk by kinda vibe. The cocktails are always interesting combinations of ingredients and flavors, I don't think there's been a cocktail I haven't liked! Last time I was there I got a cocktail with the name Max in it (sorry I can't remember the whole name) and it was fantastic! They can also make you something off the menu and they have a selection of beer/wine/seltzer as well if you are with someone that isn't into crafty cocktails. If you like bourbon make sure to ask about what they've got, if they have extra they will sell you unopened bottles if you are looking for something specific. Lil Indies is definitely a local spot that you don't want to miss! read more
On the Orlando bar and cocktail scene, Lil Indies is somewhat under the radar and forgotten about. It's a shame because the cocktails are excellent! To me, it's the place I go to while hopping down Mills for date night to try 1-2 unique cocktails. They change their menu frequently and yet I never have trouble finding something that appeals to me. The bartenders take pride in what they create and are always friendly. Sitting at the bar, if you're lucky enough to snag a spot, offers you the best experience. For a completely different vibe, you can go for live music later on in the night, but I prefer Lil Indies in its more low key state. read more
