I love this place. To be honest, I have missed what I considered to be Denver's golden age of hangout bars, patio or otherwise. After the 90's, the dozens of great, casual, hangout bars seemed to disappear faster than I could keep track. Now, Li'l Devils has me wanting to chill on their patio more than ever. They have done such a great job renovating that it feels like you are visiting a friends house. Their happy hour specials are great and the many theme parties are very nicely done. The owners are very nice as are all the staff and everyone I've met there. I guarantee that you will feel right at home at the football parties, luau's and other theme nights or just to meet some friends for a beer after work. read more

Wonderfully friendly and supportive environment. We showed up as part of a fundraising pub crawl on a saturday morning, and these guys started us off right! Frozen shots, plus very strong and tasty mimosas got us started. I love the patio, and the whole space is just very chill. The owner's dog is a regular presence around the space, and she's adorable, and super mellow. The owner and staff were also super mellow, taking time to sit down and chat with the people who came in as part of the pub crawl, welcoming us all. I went to Li'l Devils Lounge with a few friends and it's been a long time since I felt so unwelcomed in a bar. The bartender greeted us rudely and was talking to one of his coworkers so loudly at the bar when he said, "I can't deal with any of this," while pointing to our table. Luckily there was a nice female waitress who was willing to deal with paying customers so we were able to order one round. Because it was uncomfortable knowing the staff did not want us in the bar, we settled up and went across the street where our business was appreciated. Sweet place! I'm told the patio is dog friendly so checked it out while nearby recently. Really cool smallish bar, not REAL gay more a mellow grayish mostly neighborhood bar. Worth checking out. Downside, happy hour time on a Friday, zero parking. They have a tiny lot that fills fast. Worth the effort though and I look forward to the patio this summer with my canine companion. The bar itself is in a cool area. It looks nice on the inside, and has a nice outdoor patio. However, most of the drinks are pretty overpriced. I got a PBR for $3, then my friend tried to get one as well, but was told they were out and instead gave him another beer for 2x the price. Then I tried to also get a PBR, which I did, but instead of paying $3, I got charged $5.75? Only like an hour after the first one? Not to mention the other bartender said they were out. I honestly wouldn't care about that though, if it wasn't for the bartender up front being so unpleasant and stuck up. First time here was on a Tuesday night. We arrived a bit before 8pm, which is the end of happy hour but the beginning of the Tuesday night buy one get one free special-yes please! The bartender was great and since our timing was so close he gave me the happy hour price on my BOGO drink, superb sir! I like the patio, secluded and smoker friendly, and during the winter equipped with an outdoor heater-much appreciated. Came by one night and was poured a great strong drink for cheap...just what I needed in expensive Denver as I don't have much money. They provided me just what I needed.. Seemed like a friendly bartender and friendly crowd, too. I think the only seats available were away from the bar on chairs near the door so i did feel a little disconnected from the bar crowd of guys. But a woman who is not gay did come sit near me and she was very friendly. We had a nice chat and she even let me sample her drink. She seemed to know most people there and a guy who had been eyeing me came up and talked to her and introduced himself (Hay - I got some attention! yay! lol). I had already been bar hopping before coming here so I only had one drink before leaving but I could easily make this place the ONLY destination for a full night ....they had stronger drinks and better quality vodka than either X-bar or Charlie's. And by the way one of the HOT men that worked at Charlie's gave me a bit of attitude as he blew me off when I tried to briefly talk to him and gave him a compliment...I know I know mister HOT Charlie's employee...I get it..you're too hot and sexy to talk to me....I didn't get that vibe at Lil Devils though..will have to come back on in when I am in Denver again! The crowd was more mature. I do wish there were more younger guys in there mixed in as well with the mature crowd, but then again that might ratchet up the attitude and rejection vibe so maybe not lol read more

What a pleasant unexpected surprise this local bar is. When I walked in to this establishment I didn't know what to expect. This bar has great atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. The outdoor patio is relaxing and almost makes you forget you are in the city. The music that was playing was great and not overly loud or obnoxious as some bar music can be. This local joint is pet friendly and great place to meet up for a few cocktails. I will definitely be visiting it again soon. read more

Okay, the only reason I am rating this two stars, is because I had a great initial experience here yesterday, Saturday. A friend took me here, and the bartender, an older african american gentleman, was so great. He was friendly, and personable and great at his job (the owner seemed very nice as well). I wish I could say the same for the bartender I had this afternoon, a younger white guy with glasses. After my great initial visit last night, I decided to go back this afternoon with my mother. We specifically waited in the car for happy hour to start at 3:00pm, and entered at 3:03pm. After having a couple of rounds of drinks, we decided to leave, and upon seeing that we were overcharged for the first drink, my mom inquired with the bartender about the bill. He was rude to her, and flat out insisted that the computer controls the pricing, despite the clock being off with the actual happy hour times. Even if he didn't want to change our bill, he could have certainly handled the situation better. It is a shame that such a nice little business is willing to lose customers over a $2 price difference (when again, we entered at 3:03pm, and happy hour supposedly starts at 3:00pm). It really is not a question of the $2, but really how brusque the bartender was with my mother. I would rather go to another bar and know that I'm spending $10 a drink (the happy hour price here was $5, the regular price was $7), than think I am getting happy hour prices, and instead get overcharged and a rude response from the bartender (I guarantee you if the same bartender from Saturday night had been there, this situation would not have escalated to the point where I felt the need to write a negative review). read more

We had a group of about 12 of us planning to meet here on 5/16 but there were signs in all the windows that said they were shut down by the US District Court for some liquor issue, so not sure if they'll be in business after this date. We had to relocate and it wasn't much fun trying to find another place and get the word out to everyone. One of the guys thought it was some type of Private Party but with all the notices in every window, found it hard to believe. If you're having a private function, why not just say that instead of making up sign about a US District Court order? read more

I have been going to this establishment through many owner and name changes since 1996. I have never had an incident at any bar at all, but last night I was kicked out for the first time in my life after having the nerve to stick up for myself while being sexually harassed by man who identified himself as the co-owner of Li'l Devils. I was not prepared to be on the receiving end of an extremely crude gesture that was intentionally directed at me. I ignored the behavior at first, but then was later stared down by this person. I finally got frustrated and resorted to flipping him off. I was not aware this man was a co-owner and that he felt entitled to behave that way. He became immediately enraged, belligerent, defensive and had me thrown out of thrown out of the bar before I was able to gather my belongings, or speak to my friend whom I had driven there. I tried to come back in several times to look for my bag and my friend, but was aggressively told to leave. At one point a female employee had come out to make excuses for the event saying the man was actually just joking around with the band as friends do. I did not see anyone else from the crowd simulate fellatio as perverse and overtly as a form of acceptable socializing and do not find it reasonable even if it was supposed to be a joke. It was an obvious attempt to put me down. At first, the co-owner denied he had done what he did. Later an employee acknowledged that it had actually happened by trying to explain why he had indeed done precisely what I said he had done. She was insisting that I must have misunderstood his actions. I certainly did not. I was not positioned directly in front of the band and this man was definitely focusing on me personally. The owner of Li'l Devils had just been talking to me and my friend a few minutes prior and was being hospitable. When the co-owner was yelling at me and denying what he did, telling the staff to throw me out, the owner actually allowed it. I did nothing wrong at all, was not expecting a gay man to treat me that way, and should have called the police. I lost my property and was not able to get my inebriated friend out of there. I had to cancel all of my credit cards, will have to replace my identification, lost money, etc. I am completely insulted and shocked at what I experienced at Li'l Devils last night and stand my ground that I should NOT have to be sexually harassed, offended, and bullied by anyone of any sexual identity. I should not be made to suffer the consequences of assault in any manner. I should not have been inconvenienced, I should not have had to be worried about my friend, or regret not involving proper authorities. I was bullied, sexually harassed and thrown out of Li'l Devils, because perverse behavior was enabled by the entire staff. This is 2018. Women do not have to tolerate it any longer from anyone. I find the entire situation to be extremely uncivilized and am quite disgusted at how I was treated. To say the least, shame on the extremely inappropriate co-owner, shame on the owner, and shame on the entire staff! read more

This is a fantastic neighborhood gay bar with one of the best patios in town. The owner, Tony, is a cut above when it comes to customer service and taking care of his patrons. I go here because it is laid back, drama free, and a great atmosphere to catch up with friends, bitch about the work week, or just tie one on! Oh man what can be said about this place? It was GREAT! We are from out of town! Visiting for the weekend and came in for their awesome happy hour.... ended up staying way after! AMAZINGLY FUNNY STAFF! Awesome service, good music, better environment! Regardless of your preference, this place is a lot of fun! Drinks were very well made, the outside porch was fun with a lot of energy! And it was non-stop laughs with "justin-nuff" (inside joke) lol .
