The perfect place to enjoy a chai latte and bành mí sandwiches overlooking crashing waves. A cute and cozy space to enjoy on a respite weekend. Speedy service and tasty bites. So nice we tried it twice (and ordered the same thing both times)!

We love coming here whenever we visit, not only is the service speedy and friendly, but the food is always phenomenal! We've sat both inside and out and you can't go wrong with either. It's always been quiet and pleasant each time we've visited. P.S. I will never stop recommending their clam chowder!

Went here with my boyfriend two days ago. The cafe had Excellent Atmosphere mixed with great drinks, good vibes, and delicious food. The Service was excellent. Lighthouse Cafe is a gem and is a great place to visit if you're in Port Townsend. Would definitely recommend the Delicious Clam Chowder and the Italian sandwich. Great place. Excellent experience.

Sat outside and had the clam chowder with bread. Everything was so flavorful and good my only complaint is that the chowder wasn't that thick but the bread made up for it

Waited 15 minutes and paid 7.00 after a tip for this small and burned sandwich.

My boyfriend and I stopped here for breakfast on the go after staying in a hotel across the street. We ordered a breakfast sandwich and sat waiting over 15 minutes to get it. There were 2 cooks and a cashier and only 2 tables in the restaurant so we were unsure why it took so long. Anyway, fast forward to being handed the sandwich. We got out to our car and started driving home. My boyfriend unwrapped his sandwich down the road to find that it had been completely burned. I cannot believe they served this with a good conscious. You can see from the photo that it is obviously black and burned. We were already miles down the road and therefore did not turn around. We ended up throwing the 6.00 sandwich (plus tip) in the garbage. It's ok to make a mistake. It's ok to say, "sorry for the wait already, but we burned your sandwich and need to make another". It is NOT OK to serve something that is inedible and pretend like you didn't. Horrible customer service. We won't be back next time we visit Port Townsend.

Very cool place. I've been coming here for decade, but under the new ownership it's very different. Decent sandwich shop. Polite staff. Eclectic atmosphere. A bit pricey and I'm not sure why they want a tip. You order at the counter and bus your own table. I'd reduce the amount of potatoes in the clam chowder by about 1/2. Perhaps a shirt that covers the sandwich makers belly button would be appropriate too.

My friend and i came here today to kill time before our whale tour. This place is sooo cute and the food is absolutely fresh. We both had the breakfast sandwich and it was amazing and fresh off the stove. My iced mocha was delicious as well. New fav place to come and check out.

I suspected it was here, and as soon as I walked in, I recognized the grand wooden staircase in the center. Nowadays, the store features high end specialized grocery items, clothing, and decorative kitchen decor. There is a free bathroom and a cafe in the back with a few tables for seating next to very sunny windows. The only reason I am not giving five stars is that the cafe staff was a bit brusque, no smiles, although they surely served us efficiently.

I've been wanting to try their chocolate chip cookie but it's never ready when I've gone. Their burrito is delicious though, it's packed and super filling, not to mention the sauces are the best part! I wish they gave a little more as I end up finishing the sauces before the burrito is done because they're sooo tasty with the burrito. I also wish they had other meat options other than bacon. They don't have chicken add ins but other than that it's a great place! I've also had their biscuit and jam, but that's just ok. I wouldn't get it again. It's not that tasty or memorable. There's lots of seating, food is ready fairly quickly, service is great and employees are friendly, and parking right outside. So convenient!

However, and I'd like to share my feedback on my experiences. - The food is decent, though it's often prepared for presentation rather than taste. It frequently arrives cold. - The coffee and tea are overpriced and tastes mediocre. - for instance, I paid $8 for a 4-ounce mix of espresso and orange juice that made my stomach hurt. - I also paid nearly $7 for the "peach blossom tea" and ended up getting 3/4 cup of ice, packet tea, and sweetener in a cup. - I've tried nearly everything on the drink menu and nothing is 'great' - The wait time for an order is incredibly long, and the employees are often distracted and preoccupied with other tasks, making it difficult to get my order taken. Overall, go to narrative for the ambiance and food, NOT the drinks.

I had the chickpea burger, which fell apart as soon as you held it (but the bun was delicious). The truffle parm fries upgrade was 1000% worth it. My partner had the whirly burger with clam chowder (which she said was local but not made in house). Both were yum! The clam chowder was perfectly creamy (not chunky if that's more your speed) but had little clams. The blackberry pie (not pictured because we ate too fast) was also so sweet and had the best crust! Service was kind and helpful when asked. You order at the bar and then clean up after yourself. There is a lot of seating inside and outside (under cover, as well). After we were done, we walked the grounds to find some chickens and emu!

I like that you order with the cashier and they deliver the food to your table, so it's like partial food service. This is great for people coming in groups so you don't have to worry about splitting the bill. I ordered a grilled cheese with cheddar, and egg added inside. I do wish the cheese was a little more melted, but the bread was perfectly crispy and soft. For my side I chose the tomato bisque, which was pretty creamy and lacked a strong, tangy tomato flavor. I would skip the tomato soup next time and opt for a different side. The sweet potato fries were DELICIOUS, they were so crispy on the outside and not soggy. I do wish they had different sizes for the sides, because the full order of sweet potato fries is huge and a little excessive if you're already ordering an entree that come with a side. There is an extra charge for ranch dipping. My friends were all happy with their food. There is a bathroom that also brings you to free roaming chicken! I do want to come back to try their ice cream and pies!!!
