Low reviews can be a deterrent and that would have you missing out on a true gem. Beachside dining with waves crashing a few hundred feet away already makes for a great dining experience. Laid back atmosphere with friendly staff and excellent food. The ceviche was loaded with fresh and tasty fish. Cafe dolce was excellent and my son was very happy with his hot dog and fries. The table next to us had the full fish and lobster platter and it looked superb. Next time we're in the area we will definitely be ordering one. Hidden gem at the state park.

I don't know why this place has such low reviews cause the service is appropriate, the food tastes good and fresh, and on top of that you are eating by the ocean. A perfect spot for when you are going to hang out at the beach. I totally recommend the shrimp omelette; it had soo much shrimp and the bread it came with was crispy.

Absolute worst shrimp ceviche. Had one bite. Someone else had recommended this dish as the best they've had on google. Better to pass this place up.

What a cute little spot in the Bill Baggs National Park! Lighthouse cafe is a no thrills cook to order lunch location that is steps from the ocean. With ample parking, wheelchair access this place is a quick affordable place to grab a bite before, after, or during your adventures exploring the park. We made this our first stop and then decided to explore the park. You can find this place by following the signs to the lighthouse, passing by the first restaurant (boaters grill). Once you arrive you can order to go through the window, or grab a menu and have a seat. The menu has your typical sandwich's, fresh fish, fries, soups and salads. We chose the snapper filet sandwich that comes with fries for $15. We had iced teas and sat on the patio by the beach walkway to sneak a peak of the ocean total bill $37. Everything came out in record speed, the waitresses were friendly and accommodating and the food was surprisingly tasty. The fish was well seasoned and fresh, we had no leftovers! The only side note, the bathrooms are the public beach restrooms that can be a little soggy from the beach goers. Will definitely return with family!

A lovely place to relax with some good food and beer after a biking around the park! The food is really tasty, much better than I expected, and the covered pavilion has a really nice vibe. My favorite was the ceviche, which is a hefty portion for an appetizer (I used it as a light lunch for myself).

Outdoor seating. Plenty of wait staff who were attentive enough. Clams appetizer was good, but the cubano was just ok. The hamburger was also just ok (and $14). Seafood paella was good, but was $40. Not worth it. In general, it seems like a place that charges more than it should for mediocre food because it's in a good location/is the only option around.

If you're looking for a good meal on the beach this place is a must! The palomilla steak was truly amazing, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also ordered a colada, and let me tell you, it hit the spot! To top it off, I tried the flan for dessert, and it was AMAZING. They were very welcoming and the service was great. This spot is perfect for anyone wanting to spend a day at the beach but also craving a quick and satisfying bite. Highly recommend!

Today, while waiting for something to print at Office Depot, I was searching for a nearby brunch spot when it popped up in my search & I'm so glad I did! First of all, the place is absolutely adorable. It was a packed Sunday morning around 11 a.m. Only one tiny table was left inside, though there were a couple outside too. Honestly, on a beautiful Miami morning, I wouldn't have minded sitting outdoors at all. What really stood out, though, was the service. Gabriela, our hostess and waitress, was wonderful. Warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind with a huge smile. She walked us through the menu, answered questions about dishes I didn't recognize (it's a Venezuelan spot, after all), and made us feel completely taken care of. Even more impressive was that she seemed to be the only waitress on duty yet never came across as flustered or hurried or anything other than pure sunshine! I ordered my longtime favorite, the arepa perica, just like I used to when I worked nearby, along with a fresh-squeezed orange juice and a chicken empanada to try. My father ordered the desayuno criollo. Everything was absolutely delicious. The presentation was beautiful, the plating thoughtful, and the flavors delivered across the board. The space was lively and full of families, making it a great Sunday brunch spot. Everything was spotless, and I don't usually call that out because it should be a given, but the restroom was impressively clean. Like extra clean. I also just learned they have multiple locations now, which is amazing. Well deserved. I can't wait to go back, and I wish them continued success.

They are complaining that the Key Biscayne people who go to Flour and Weirdough's are taking all their parking places. Flour and Weirdough's has had to take out most of their tables to cut down on the weekend morning traffic. I say that Flour and Wierdough's is not that good. I would not eat there unless I lived close enough so that I would have an easy walk. If I have to get in my car to drive, I would rather drive to the better places in Key Biscayne. La Boulangerie Boul'Mich, Artisans and Nahuen are all attractive options. * * * Flour and Weirdough's combines two aspects. One is a cooked breakfast establishment offering relatively exotic hot egg dishes. Think of this as eggs around the world. I ordered a Turkish eggs, which was a layer of Turkish yogurt, two sunny side up eggs, four small slices of very good toast, and flavorings. Take away the toast and you are looking at meh. Given how good the carbs were and how flat the protein ingredients were, if I were to come back, I would be looking more seriously at something like pancakes. They do have a lot of pancake options. The second aspect is an orthodox bakery. The cinnamon roll is supposedly famous. I have had amazing cinnamon rolls in my home town of Austin. (The gimmick was darker flour and less sugar for a baritone savory experience. The cinnamon added complexity.) At Flour and Weirdough's you get the orthodox white bread, with a ton of white sugar. Less sticky than Cinnabon Lighter than Cinnabon. But the same concept. White bread and sugar don't get me all that excited. I am sure there was cinnamon in there - but I had to go looking for it. * * * Coffee was absolutely mediocre. Hey guys, you doing breakfast and a cup of joe? You gotta have a decent cup of joe. * * * I suspect if I had ordered from elsewhere in the bakery case, I could have done better. Some of the cookies looked pretty interesting. With enough trial and error, I could find dishes that were good enough so that I would be willing to jam up the neighbor's parking lot. * * * But why struggle to find an excuse to enter the civil war between Flour and Weirdough and its neighbors When I can go to competing brunch joints and get a million good dishes? No muss No fuss.
