Cancha Corn & Plantain chips for the table

After a beach day in Biscayne Bay we stopped by here for HH. The drinks were great and the ceviche is fresh & delicious! Happy Hour is only for drinks not food, there's a lot of cocktail choices for a great HH deal! Servers here are nice & welcoming. First time trying Cancha corn and we couldn't stop eating it. The fish and calamari in the ceviche were fresh and great to munch on while enjoying HH cocktails. First time trying Causa a fluffy, potato cake filled with green pepper, avocado and shrimp. They have a variety of Causas available! This place is relaxing to enjoy a drink and have yummy Peruvian inspired plates after a nice beach day! Public parking lot available.

On our visit to this restaurant, the experience was exceptional! From our server, Anielka, to the delicious food, I don't understand why it is not a solid 5-stars! My hubby and I ordered two glasses of wine, the tuna ceviche, the lomo salteado with risotto (which we shared) and their special Peruvian Dessert paired with strong coffee. It was wildly delicious. On a stormy day, this experience made it positively memorable. We will definitely come back with family and friends!

Nice place and are able to eat outside. Not very busy so wait for ceviche wasn't that long. I had the mango tropical ceviche would I did like but I don't know why I keep ordering plates with mango. I don't necessarily like sweet food unless it's specially to be viewed as something small or desert. But the word mango triggers a weakness in me I suppose. I was good but looking back I'd go with the regular fish ceviche. But that person taste. Two things I don't like. It was only 2 of us plus an infant and gratuity was already included... seeing a lot of that here in Florida. The server seemed like he didn't want to be there, which he has right to but at least show us some good service as out patronage is helping you have the job that that establishment. Plus throwing left over water on the plants in front of you is not the best class.

The seafood pasta here is a bit pricy but worth it. They gave plenty of seafood and it was very fresh. I tried a bit of my mom's ceviche which was also really good. Their ceviche isn't very traditional, it doesn't come with typical ceviche ingredients / chips on the side.

Don't skip dessert here! Wow the chocolate cake was insane!

Fabulous! Fresh, unique and delicious menu. I dined in for the first time this Saturday night and we had a wonderful meal. I can't say enough about how fresh their seafood is here. One of their best dishes is their pulpo al olivo which is sliced octopus with black olive sauce, olive oil, capers, garlic and red pepper. This dish is to die for - you are going to want bread to soak up the left over sauce it's that good. We also loved their grilled octopus. They do not skimp on the portion size here, we had a decent amount of octopus meat here and it was sooo tender and delicious. I like their ceviche seafood sample because you get 3 different sauces and it's great for sharing. One thing that was not expected was their chocolate cake. I'm not usually a dessert fan but this was melt in your mouth ooey gooey deliciousness.

Visiting Key Biscayne every year for both the Miami Open Tennis Championships and Ultra Music Festival/Miami Music Week, Ceviche Bar by Mixtura is always walking/biking distance away. This Peruvian restaurant will make your taste buds explode as well. From the excellent Wine list to their multiple ceviche offerings, every server is sure to pair each dish with a wine or cocktail to fit your palate. If you are here on a tennis player's "off or training day", you can catch Rafael Nadal, Carlos Moya, or Juan Martín del Potro enjoying their favorite cuisine. Two years ago, I had drinks with the famous Peruvian Davis Cup Captain, Pablo Arraya. I HIGHLY recommend checking this restaurant out if you are into fine dining, great wines, and a South American vibe that takes you outside of the Miami scene.

Food is really good the really hit the spot on flavors. Service needs a little boost specially since they add the tip already even if you are just 2. It's not bad but requires more finesse. The ceviche trio (we picked our own flavors) Tuna tartare Grilled octopus Black risotto (was amazing)

The food is delicious. Grill octopus and lobster's ceviche is a must try. The Parrillada, chaufa, mixed ceviche, everything on the menu is delicious. Fresh, tasty and very well assisted by the waitresses.

Best Peruvian restaurant ever. The servers are very nice and the food OMG you can't go wrong with anything you order. It is a small place but totally worth the visit.

Fabulous and fresh ceviche! I had the olive base mixed seafood ceviche with shrimp, octopus, fish, and calamari. You could tell it was fresh because it tender. My husband had the chauffa mixed seafood and the octopus in his was tender too. It's a small place, so it's probably not easy to stock too many beers, but the selection was only about 5 or so. Good thing they had a larger wine list. Another great lunch with the hubs.

In a word everything. The decor is not awful itself, but feels a little industrial, with televisions plunked over the walls. But the service and the food just take it to a different level of bad. Our waitress hadn't the faintest clue to what she was doing. She asked how well done we wanted our carpaccio. She so clearly didn't know what she was doing, I had her recite our orders back to me. How could she mess that up? Good question. How about serving all of the food at one time, appetizers and main course? We had carpaccio, supposedly Argentine beef; a pancho; a filet mignon; and Milanezza Martin. Starting with the semi edible, the fillet was not good, the presentation was awful, stock dry on its own on a black plate, with mashed potatoes in a separate ramekin on the side, and the sad chimichurri sauce also in a separate ramekin, but you could swallow it. Everything else was a disgrace. The milanezza was junk they got out of the fridge and microwave before they planted it on the table. My daughter found it literally non-edible, and she is the kindest of diners. She said it tasted like the fridge... A kind way of putting it The pancho was a profoundly bland hot dog in a stale bun. But the "carpaccio" took pride of place. Simultaneously part-frozen and decaying beef, of which my daughter took a bite, and then was stuck finding a polite way to spit it into a napkin. North of inedible. All of this terrible food was put onto our table at one time, about three minutes after we ordered it, because obviously it had just been defrosted in the microwave. And to add insult to injury, the waitress came by, with a toothy, TGIF smile, and said how are we doing? Bloody awful is the only answer. In a move that clearly reflects where the restaurant is at, I noticed they put 19% automatically on the bill for "service". Then they had the cojones to ask for more of a tip when you sign electronically on the tableside device. I looked at the waitress incredulously with raised eyebrows, and that was that. Never again.

Upon arrival, I was immediately captivated by the breathtaking views of Miami's native plants along the beach, which provided a serene and picturesque backdrop for my meal. The restaurant itself is spacious, with plenty of seating options that allow guests to fully enjoy the natural beauty surrounding them. I wasn't too hungry, so I ordered the Fish Croquetas, which were priced at $12. These croquetas were incredibly delicious and fresh, showcasing the high quality of ingredients used by the cafe. The fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked, with a crispy exterior that gave way to a tender and flavorful interior. Each bite was a delightful combination of textures and tastes, making it a standout appetizer on the menu. To complement my meal, I chose a media colada, which proved to be the perfect kick of energy. The drink was expertly crafted, with a refreshing blend of flavors that enhanced the overall dining experience. It was the ideal accompaniment to the savory croquetas, providing a balance of sweetness and tanginess that was both satisfying and invigorating. Despite the restaurant not being full, with only four tables occupied and six employees on duty, there was a wait for your food. This unexpected delay was somewhat surprising given the available seating and staff, but it did not detract from the overall enjoyment of my visit. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that all guests felt welcome and well taken care of. In conclusion, the Lighthouse Cafe at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious meal in a beautiful setting. With its fresh and flavorful dishes, stunning views, and welcoming atmosphere, it offers a memorable dining experience that is sure to impress. Entry to the park was $8. Lots of parking available.

Our entire meal consisted of listening to them in the phone and talking so loud to each other and their server we could hear every word! This rude and annoying behavior overshadowed the meal and left us very frustrated and annoyed. If you are going to require certain attire (although several guest came in while we were there who had on shorts and flip flops) and charge very high prices, you should have a cell phone policy in place and redirect guest to step outside or leave if they feel the need to FT their family for 20-30 min. I chose not to order anything once my soup was returned because we wanted to leave as soon as possible. Over all the service was good and most of the food was too. Unfortunately, there are those who'd have no regard for their environment and those around them which makes others experience negative! Wanting to try a Cubano in Miami while waiting to board a cruise ship at the nearby Port of Miami,…read moreI chose La Canita Bayside because it was close to the Port (not walkable though), having a well reviewed Cubano on its menu. The service was attentive, and the food was delicious, but for one sandwich entree and one appetizer for lunch, it ended up $64.80 out the door. A bit steep. Located on the second floor of the Bayside Marketplace outdoor mall, La Canita Bayside is one of three locations around the Miami area. The elevator that the signs were pointing to, was out of order so a bit difficult for cruisers with luggage. It opened at 11 am, and my brother and I were one of the first ones in. We had our choice of indoor seats. We asked for tap water, which was constantly kept refilled by Mayra, our perceptive server. We split two dishes: conch fritters ($17) and the Cuban experience ($33) - a combination of a Cuban sandwich, glazed deep fried pork belly, and fried yuka (a sandwich by itself was not offered). My brother loved the glazed pork belly (chicharrones), but prefers his Cuban sandwich more time on the sandwich press, to create that melded experience. I loved the 4 pieces of hush puppy looking fritters, served piping hot with a large number of conch pieces mixed in with the spicy batter. I liked the sandwich as well, but wouldn't rank it in the upper half on my list. There is a mandatory 20% service charge for all size parties, which was clearly indicated on the menu. It's an 8% sales tax. It could be argued that high prices should be expected for this area, but the mall itself is no longer considered a top destination in Miami. I do think the atmosphere would be completely different at nighttime and/or the weekend. Maybe have a lunch priced menu when the space is like a normal restaurant, to attract more folks.
