This location is tucked inside of another shopping area. They do have a large parking lot, however,…read moreeverything is a little bit of a funky layout so be sure to pay attention to where you're going. When you get inside they do have carts over to the left hand side of the entry. The store itself is clean and well-kept. There were some things in random areas, but that's probably due to customers putting things back in the wrong area. The biggest issue here is the cash register area. They have not updated it so that it's one line for all the registers. They still have the old fashioned way of doing it where every register is step. There was a person who is returning items and this caused the line to back up to about 10 people deep. With only one cashier. They did bring up another cashier but it really didn't help move things along very quickly. The store itself looks like it's a little bit dated as well. I think the whole thing could probably just use a facelift and a bit of a modernization to match its sister stores in the area and it would do just fine. Overall: B An update to the way the registers are set up and a little bit of a modernization and this place could easily be a 4-star and up.

I had not been to Sam's since they moved across the street a few years ago. As a customer I went for some colored pencils and the staff was extremely helpful in finding items for a gift. I was walked by a staff member to several areas of the store and items to choose from were placed in my hands while the staff member explained the features and made recommendations. The level of customer service and help is something you don't commonly see in retail stores these days. The store has a tranquil vibe which makes it fun to browse the many gift items. Their stock is unique in that they carry a breadth of items that are high quality at a range of prices. You can spend a lot of time here finding inspiration and treasures. They offer art classes and during the Christmas season they offered free make and take craft classes. They had a small cardboard 'house or cottage' setup inside the store with tables stocked with all the supplies you needed for that weeks's free project. This was not just for kids. My friend and I had fun making gift tags the day we were visiting the store. The store is beautiful inside and out. The beautiful murals that cover the outside walls echo the beauty and fun you will find inside the store. Since they are popular the parking lot can get pretty full.

They have a ton of options for designs so take time to look through them all. This is a franchise so I had a previous experience with one in California, making this my second time at this type of thing. I chose to do a welcome board for me family and our class included a free additional board - Choose Kindness. We arrived early and ate close by. I recommend parking close to the entry as you'll have your piece to carry out at the end. We arrived to the class on time and things kicked off. The instructors were clear with the process and stopped by each attendee to offer help. You'll choose the level of 'weathering' your board will have, stain color, and paint for the stencil. The biggest downer was all the sawdust and strong chemical smells from the stains and paint, but little they can do about that!! Come ready with a mask if you have allergies. Went to return it and they guyt here didn't know how to do the return and had to get help from 2 people before it went though. Totally understandale if he was new but he did not seem new, and neithter did the addional two other peiple that also had to be involved to do a basic fascit of a retail job. That's ether lack of or nonexistent training. Went to have something framed at the frame shop. Waited aroud (along with four other people) for 15 min for someone to appear, finally walked up to the front and askd for someone to be sent there. THey sent a manager who said "Sorry my guy is on a 15 mon break, I don;t know anythihg about this" cool, so he should be coming right back then right? Nope, she stood around making excsed for an adional 30 min while we were all getting visable more and more annyed. Refusing to go back and get this guy off break. At one poeint even saying "I'm his boss. Imagine how annoyed I am"...like girl you are his boss. Go get him have him help us and then maybe think about restaffing? Not professional or appropriate. If I was not in a hurry amd on a timeline I would have taken my business elsewhere (and will in the future). When he finally emerged (I perannaly was waiting a toal of 52 min from start to him getting there) he told her in a not so hushed tone "I'm the only one here it was a half hour break" - so the manager didn;t know her staffing was lacking, could not help in their absence, and refused to go get them off their break even though it was suppsoed to aba 15 mon break that becmae an alomsot hour break with mutiple custemers waiting. Fire the manager. She doesn't know how to do her job and is unwilling to do it where she could be competeant. When I retured the next day ther was a verys soft spoekn woman working there (albeit there was another 15 min wait before she emerged) and she was very kind and very knowledgeable. I did not get her name. Bottom line I will only go to this location if I have an instore pickup becuase it is closest to my home. Otherwise I will go out of my way to avoid in the future.

They have literally…read moreanything and everything you can possibly think of -- much more than your typical craft supply store. Most recently, I noticed they started carrying children's toys and baby clothing... just in time for Christmas. Like, what? I guess they really want to be a one stop shop for all your gifting needs. Don't get me wrong... I love it, but I have to go there with a very specific mission and a list of things I'm looking for. Otherwise, I'll just end up wandering aimlessly up and down every aisle for hours finding a million things I want but don't need. And then I'll spend another hour talking myself out of every purchase lol. The good news is if I need anything craft related, they have it. But I can never find anything on my own. I almost always have to ask for assistance to locate items I'm looking for. In my floral design days, I was here on the reg for projects and I really liked exploring their dried & preserved floral selection that has continued to expand. I've scooped up some unique florals here in the past. Their current selection of dyed bunny tails is so good. I decided to stop in this past weekend to shop their sale on all the holiday decor. Wow, it felt like half the store was dedicated to Christmas. I perused every aisle and just couldn't decide what to buy. There was a lot of stuff I liked, but the decision fatigue was real. I ended up purchasing some honeycomb paper ornaments and trees that were 50% off. They're very classy and chic and I love how they can collapse down for easy storage. But that's all I got and somehow I always come home covered in glitter.
