They have tons of great door buster sales and frequently send coupons. Therefore, do yourself a favor and always come in with a coupon to save yourself a couple of bucks. You can easily find yourself spending heaps of money here. The downsides: Access to this Michael's can get a bit tricky and annoying when there is a lot of traffic on Turkey Lake Road. Whenever I've been in the store looking for something in particular that I can't get to through the virtual store map on the app, I find it hard to get help from the associates. I had not been to Sam's since they moved across the street a few years ago. As a customer I went for some colored pencils and the staff was extremely helpful in finding items for a gift. I was walked by a staff member to several areas of the store and items to choose from were placed in my hands while the staff member explained the features and made recommendations. The level of customer service and help is something you don't commonly see in retail stores these days. The store has a tranquil vibe which makes it fun to browse the many gift items. Their stock is unique in that they carry a breadth of items that are high quality at a range of prices. You can spend a lot of time here finding inspiration and treasures. They offer art classes and during the Christmas season they offered free make and take craft classes. They had a small cardboard 'house or cottage' setup inside the store with tables stocked with all the supplies you needed for that weeks's free project. This was not just for kids. My friend and I had fun making gift tags the day we were visiting the store. The store is beautiful inside and out. The beautiful murals that cover the outside walls echo the beauty and fun you will find inside the store. Since they are popular the parking lot can get pretty full.

Cards are about in the ~$6 range, which compared to some of the cheesy cards you can get at target for the same price isn't too bad. Most of the selection is catered towards gifts, cards, and party supplies but they do have some stationary stuff too. Not sure I'd drive out of my way to come here again, but if I find myself in the Lake Baldwin area I'd definitely swing by to see what's new! This small shop has such a fun variety of toys, games, arts & craft items, and a neat selection of unique gift items. Reminded my of a Learning Express store, so we are happy to have something similar back in the area. The associates greeted us upon entering, and were are friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and they were readily available to explain and demonstrate products. We were able to find a game that we couldn't find anywhere else locally, so that was a win. Their prices are comparable to high, however with their fun selection of products that you won't find everywhere, it's worth the specialty store prices. We didn't have too much time to shop around, but I definitely plan to make a trip back soon for more fun finds!

I had a wonderful experience at Hobby Lobby that turned into an unexpected life lesson for my…read moredaughter. My daughter and I visit often, but this time she went in first to pick up yarn for a project she's working on. I joined her about five minutes later, and of course, she had already gathered as many mini balls of yarn as she could & luckily, they were 30% off! After shopping, we headed to the checkout, and my daughter, who's 15 and learning how to manage her own money, wanted to pay for her items herself. Her total was around $120, but she accidentally handed the cashier $220. Without hesitation, the cashier kindly returned the extra $100, and my daughter hadn't even realized she overpaid. I was so impressed by the cashier's honesty and how calmly they handled the situation. It turned a simple shopping trip into a real-world lesson about responsibility, awareness, and integrity. I'm deeply grateful to that cashier for being so thoughtful and honest... it really made an impact. Thank you, Hobby Lobby, for hiring such amazing people.
