Had a pottery class today and it was very fun learning how to create our own bowls. It was around $55 each person and you make two bowls and then are able to paint them after and pick them up in a few weeks. Unfortunately one of my bowls ended up sticking to the platform and now there's a huge hole. The staff said they couldn't replace it and I would just have to paint what I have. Very unfortunate as I brought up how thin it seemed when making it and that it might break and the staff assured that it should be fine. Sad with how expensive it was that I will only be able to use the smallest bowl but it was still a very fun experience! read more

Upon entering we were advised to pick something to paint. However there are not many options to paint. Ended up picking this little heart piece and a donut. After picking we weren't really sure what else to do being it was our first time. Finally a girl came out from the back and explained things to us. The entire place is pretty small and disorganized. While painting the employees started chatting about the manager and the staff (in a bad way) and how they were managing their money, and how much slack they have to pick up due to being understaffed. We got there early as requested and picked out the colors we would use on our pottery, then we were given some aprons and taken into the pottery wheel room. The instructor went through each step for both of the bowls we made, and they were helpful when needed! Afterwards we were brought back out to do the actual painting of our bowls. We were there about 30-40 minutes longer than I expected, but that depends on you and how you paint your pottery. I found their website and booked a pottery class for my friend's birthday. It cost $54 per person. We each got to make two pottery pieces on the wheel and then paint them with our favorite colors. This was such a fun experience! I was brought here by my husband for a birthday surprise! You actually get to use a pottery wheel, so for those of you who have seen the movie Ghost...you already know haha! Seriously though, the instructor was very helpful and guides you step by step on the how to's for your unique pottery experience. She really encouraged us to be creative and was right there to help us if we got stuck. Ladies who have nails, don't worry! I have long nails and they have tools for you to use so you don't ruin your manicure After you make your pottery, you then get to paint it however you want. Once again if you get stuck they have people there to help you. I wouldn't say I'm the craftiest person, but I got some creative juices flowing. Went with a friend so we could do something different and fun. I loved the concept, but I felt like their whole structure was disorganized. My friend and I went on a Holiday and we were immediately greeted. However, after a quick "explanation" of how everything works, we were left to kind of fend on our own. Yes, employees were there to help, but they did not seem organized and basically had routine setup as to how to attend each client. Basically we chose ceramic to paint and had to wait a while for an employee to help us set out colors up. Throughout out three hours there, we had three different employees trying to help us and other clients. Although they were friendly, they were clearly overwhelmed with the demand of having to help several clients without a set structure. Additionally, you are provided with minimal paint and have to constantly wait for employees to have time to provide more paint and clean brushes. However, most of these brushes are old and do not glide through the paint as they are all messed up. I was there for three hours to paint one cup. Although I enjoyed the company of my friend and the relaxing time painting, thee constant waiting was a turnoff. To top it all off, after paying almost $30 to paint a cup, I had to leave my cup for three-four weeks for them to heat it up and finish the painting process. I didn't see my results until a month later. All in all, staff is friendly and accommodating, but the facility and painting process begs for structure. It was an ok experience and I would recommended it to anyone who is fully aware of what to expect and is ok with waiting. read more

Didn't even get to finish my own bowl because i wasn't doing a great job and was being rushed, so the instructor took over and made it without a choice. Ofcourse the staff made sure you didn't mess it up too much and you are able to get a bowl. There is guidance. Went with my friends. 3 of us fit on the one hour slot, though it went overtime and glad that we weren't rushed. They also give you all the time to decorate the bowl, no rush unless they have a class coming in. Once you are done decorating, you leave the bowl and pick it up in 2 weeks when they bake it. Environment Very small place. There is one wheel that was being used for a number of us at one session. Upstairs in a plaza. Niceness of the staff The staff was very very very nice. She was patient and explained the process. She was able to revive the bowls if it got messed up! Glad she was able to let us shape our own bowls. All 3 of us has different shapes and I appreciate that. Dollar It was $25 for the experience. You get on the wheel for about 20 mins and then you have all the time to decorate the bowl. So I had an amazing time here, I brought my mom so we both could learn how to "throw" pottery. I wish we had more time on the pottery wheel, for a 90 minute class you only get 15-20 minutes on the wheel. I feel after making our bowl we should have been offered to ball it up and start again since we now had an idea of what the clay felt like. Victoria was our teacher, but another teacher Emily was also there. They were both nice and took time to explain techniques but you could cut the tension between the two, something clearly was not right between them, Victoria commented that Emily was there to help make her a better teacher. After we were set up to paint Emily disappeared, and didn't even come back out from behind a wall to say bye or check if we needed more paint. We took the family class on a Tuesday afternoon so there were just us and another woman who arrived late. I would suggest the adult class as for $10 more you get to make two bowls, but we couldn't get into that class for another week or more so we opted for the single bowl glass for $35. I would go back, but hope the owner reads this to see if they can offer either a private class or a way to have more time on the wheel to create other beginner projects. read more

I was given this class as a Christmas present from my boyfriend because I was an AP ceramics student in high school. The first instructor was nice, but the class got interrupted and an older woman took over. She wasn't particularly nice to anyone, but for some reason, she especially didn't like me. once we got to decorating I scraped excess clay off of my bowl to make it more round and she yelled at me in front of the entire class telling me to stop and said, "You booked the wrong class if that's what you want to do", when I was alone at my table. I left, crying from embarrassment, leaving my unfinished bowls on the table for my boyfriend to find when he got out of the bathroom. read more

Not safe for your children. They told me directly they do not have emergency protocols, and do not allow the parents to have direct contact with the teacher who's care they will be in all day or after school. My daughter was being physically harmed by another student in this class. When brought to their attention we were given a bunch of " I don't knows" and after a lot of back and forth finally an email. After a week of no one following up, I called in again and I was treated very disrespectfully by a "lead" named Jennifer. When asked her last name she said "no" and hung up on me. SO that is the kind of customer service you can expect if you wanted to know what is going on in your child's classroom. (Which the owner did not care to address at all.) Finally after multiple emails and involving the principal of my daughter's school, I finally got a call from the owner, Jamie. Who then said, they would not involve the parents because they did not want to lose their business. But that AFTER class ( another class where my daughter is being hit by a student ) not before, the teacher would talk to the boy and my daughter. She then tells me this has been happening for quite some time, and NO ONE has reported it to me or anyone. They truly expect for you as a parent to feel comfortable not being allowed to have any idea what is going on in their class, and not being allowed to have contact with their teacher. EXTREMELY disappointed at the way this was handled. My daughter is so sad. They are also teaching that bullies can get away with anything without consequences. This business should be shut down. It is poorly run and incredibly unsafe in my opinion. Who knows what else is going on. read more

Came here with a friend about a year ago. It's a small studio where you can purchase already made pottery and paint them or you can sign up for pottery classes and make your own. I think the concept is great. I've painted pottery at different studios before and it's so fun! My experience on the class..it was a decent amount of money for like 2 hours. The first hour was sculpting two clay pieces. Let me say this.......it is a lot harder than it looks!!!!! They only supply a small amount of clay, so your piece will be small. You will get messy..they do have aprons available but definitely do not wear good clothes that you'd rather not mess up! The next hour we had to paint wet clay. It was easy to paint but I hated this part. I felt rushed. I didn't know what to paint. I already didn't like the pieces I made bc I felt they didn't turn out the way I imagined. The edges ended up being extremely sharp. Don't get me wrong, it's fun! But I wouldn't do it again. I think for kids the class would be amazing! Being a semi perfectionist, I'd rather do it differently. read more

Extremely rude woman runs this place. They were treating us weird from the beginning and it did not last long as soon as my mother wanted to not do the exact same thing everyone else was doing she begins to be rude to her and my wife. It was very very frustrating to see an "art" class be limited to what the owner wants you to do and if you dont do so you will be treated poorly by staff and everyone that is paid to be there. I was reassured that I could show up late or reschedule. I did miss the class and sent an email to reschedule. No response after a week so I decide to call. Apparently I cannot reschedule after the class despite calling and sending an email explaining the situation. This unprofessionalism falls on the management, definitely a woman. Came here once with my mom and the experience was not good. They didn't help much with direction as to what to do and seemed to rush us. Not sure if they were closing but they weren't too polite.. Didn't explain much either and the lady wanted to just do the pottery for me. Waste of money, made pieces I never used and weren't glazed evenly because of the rushed process. Went here for the pottery wheel experience definitely felt the wheel portion was rushed even though the instructor was sweet, she originally told us we were going to make two pots and rushed us through the first lesson, then manager said we were only making one pot and she apologized and said we were done! When I found out I asked if I could redo my pot (because I wasn't happy with how it looked), manager said "nope". Later heard the manager applauding her on how fast she was in "instructing us". I felt like when we messed up on a step the instructor just made the vase/pot for us rather than letting us try again. Not sure why time on the wheel was rushed cause we were the only 2 individuals there who used the wheel (we were there for about 2/3 hours) and they had a total of 5 pottery wheels available. This was definitely a set back because we choose this place solely to get exposure on the pottery wheel and it didn't feel like they wanted us to spend much time on the wheel rather they wanted us to spend time painting our bowl. In contrast, there was no rush in painting our bowl, if we just wanted to paint we could have gone to All Fired UP in Winter Park and had the same/ if not better experience. In conclusion check out this place for painting premade pottery pieces, NOT for the pottery class! read more

I came here with my mom for the Pottery Wheel class and we really enjoyed our experience. We were complete novices but felt adventurous to try something new. Our teacher Vianca was absolutely amazing and super sweet! Kelly was also there to lend a helping hand. In the beginning, Vianca gave us a live demo of​ how everything works, and the steps that you will be taking. Although there was another family in the session, we never felt lost or any lack of attention. The instructors frequently checked in on us and gave us plenty of tips/tricks and encouragement. They give you 2 balls of clay to make whatever you want. Most likely a bowl of some sort as your first piece, but there's​ a lot of room for creativity. Somebody in our session divided his clay to make tons of mini shot glasses, which is a super fun idea! Afterward​, you have the opportunity to paint your masterpieces. They allow you to pick as many colors as you want, and there's​ a bucket of assorted paint brushes at your table. The only annoying thing was that some of the brushes shed really badly. We never felt rushed throughout our whole session, especially while my mom and I took over an hour and a half just to paint (out of our own free will and desire for perfection haha)... & I really have to give credit to the staff there for creating such a welcoming environment. I recommend going there as a fun family night/ date/ friends hangout! It is definitely still a fun experience even if you have no idea what you're doing or feel like you don't have an artistic bone in your body. Sometimes we just need the tools to create masterpieces or maybe we just need some super awesome cool pottery studio in our lives. This pottery studio is located on Orange Ave right before you hit Dunkin Donuts and the Gun Range. If it wasn't for livingsocial I would of never of found this neat gem. Upon checking this place out I found it's not only a pottery studio but a place where you can paint already made items like bowls and mugs for great prices ($10-20) --wow can somebody say cheap! Now the owner Jamie has such a friendly personality, she immediately welcomed me in and walked me through the process of making a pottery bowl. She made the experience of making pottery tons of fun which made me come to the conclusion that now I want a clay spinner! I believe the studio is the perfect size because it is really intimate and cozy. The tables have all the brushes and tools needed to paint away. Just a couple of tips before coming in: 1.) Call in advance and check on availability especially on the weekends. 2.) Wear clothes that you don't care gets dirty 3.) Be prepared to stick your fingers on clay (if you are doing the pottery bowl experience) 4.) Whatever you paint will be available in 2 weeks since it needs to go inside the oven. We came here tonight for date night and had an absolute blast. We made an appointment to arrive between 5 and 5:30. We showed up right at 5:30 and they got us started right away. The experience of sculpting our own bowls was a ton of fun. Hubby did a better job than I did.. I needed lots of help, but the woman there, I believe her name is Katie, was awesome! She was super nice and extremely patient with us. The value of the sculpting and painting your own bowl is awesome. It's $20 per person, which really isn't bad considering it's a great date night activity and you even get a souvenir from the experience! Our lives are pretty stressful and busy, so this relaxing experience was so welcomed. We loved it so much that we asked if we could also purchase and paint some already crafted things from their shelves.. they were open for another 40 minutes so our request was granted! Our trip to Super Awesome Cool pottery this afternoon was such a disappointment. My fiancé and I both had the day off work and decided to do something we'd never done together before. We saw a Groupon for the studio but waited to purchase until we were actually at the store (we were confused by the offer and wanted to make sure we'd be able to use it) -- we are so glad we didn't waste our money. Upon walking into the store, we were the only two people in there in addition to a small party of three. We stood at the door awkwardly until greeted (if you can call it that) by a man who looked like he wished to be anywhere but in that studio. He asked us what we wanted to do and we let him know, you know... paint pottery(?!), and he simply pointed his finger at the shelves of ceramics. He went immediately back to the riveting material on his iPad. We took some time to choose what we wanted and took a seat. I then had to prompt him to tell us what to do next. He told me to grab a bucket of brushes and start painting. No other direction was given. We located the paints by ourselves on a small shelf in the corner. We picked a few colors out and returned to our table. Each paint that we opened was either haphazardly mixed with another color (seriously?) or was completely dried up in it's container. Just as I was about to ask him whether they had any additional paint, the other group asked if there were any stencils they might be able to use. He quickly glanced around the store (without getting up) and stated that he didn't know where they were, that they had "cleaned up" for "some kind of Google thing." No additional help was given after that. We realized at this point that there was no way we were going to spend over $50 on an experience that was completely subpar and destined for failure. Based on previous reviews, I had really high hopes for this place. However, after the terrible customer service, shoddy materials and messy setup, I wouldn't ever go back, nor would I recommend this place to anyone else. read more
