Heart box

Upon entering we were advised to pick something to paint. However there are not many options to paint. Ended up picking this little heart piece and a donut. After picking we weren't really sure what else to do being it was our first time. Finally a girl came out from the back and explained things to us. The entire place is pretty small and disorganized. While painting the employees started chatting about the manager and the staff (in a bad way) and how they were managing their money, and how much slack they have to pick up due to being understaffed. Etc. we found it to be unprofessional to speak about those things. Wouldn't return.

My husband & I had been talking about doing a pottery wheel class for a while so I finally booked it and we had a great time! We got there early as requested and picked out the colors we would use on our pottery, then we were given some aprons and taken into the pottery wheel room. The instructor went through each step for both of the bowls we made, and they were helpful when needed! Afterwards we were brought back out to do the actual painting of our bowls. We were there about 30-40 minutes longer than I expected, but that depends on you and how you paint your pottery. We would definitely do this again, and can't wait to pick up our final pieces!

Super Awesome Cool Pottery was my kids & I monthly activity. And we truly enjoyed it. I came a bit too early but we waited till it was time to start and my kids & I lovedddddd it. We picked out colors. Then we went Into the room to make our pottery. Our instructor was so sweet and patience. She made it a great experience for the entire class. My only complaint is the size of clay could've been a bit larger. I will return to create another priceless item

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. Came on a Saturday evening for date night and had so much fun. Very hands on and informative class. The instructor(can't remember her name) was super sweet and friendly. They allow you to make mistakes, but also help out when needed. Traveled past this area a million times and never knew this place existed. We made two bowls, but I know they offer different things depending on what class you choose. Takes a few weeks to get your work back, so I'll upload photos once I pick up my art.

I found their website and booked a pottery class for my friend's birthday. It cost $54 per person. We each got to make two pottery pieces on the wheel and then paint them with our favorite colors. They also offered the option to buy pre-made pottery pieces like cups and plates, but we wanted the experience of using the wheel. I made a mistake with the booking, but they fixed it and made room for us. We had plenty of time to paint and be creative. I loved the experience and would definitely recommend it!

If pottery is on your bucket list, this is a great place to try it out! They offer beginner's courses every week for $56, which includes the class, materials, and two bowls/small planters after they come out of the kiln. It's not the cleanest or largest studio, but the staff are really great to work with! As a newcomer, I could definitely see improvements in just one session.

We had a great time trying our hands at making pottery for Valentines Day. We opted for the $50 per person Adult class. This was an easy class to follow along as a newbie which is appreciated. The instructor was really friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and inviting. I'm looking forward to the final products in a few weeks. I recommend this to a family, friends, or a date as a couple

This was such a fun experience! I was brought here by my husband for a birthday surprise! You actually get to use a pottery wheel, so for those of you who have seen the movie Ghost...you already know haha! Seriously though, the instructor was very helpful and guides you step by step on the how to's for your unique pottery experience. She really encouraged us to be creative and was right there to help us if we got stuck. Ladies who have nails, don't worry! I have long nails and they have tools for you to use so you don't ruin your manicure After you make your pottery, you then get to paint it however you want. Once again if you get stuck they have people there to help you. I wouldn't say I'm the craftiest person, but I got some creative juices flowing. I recommend this to anyone who is willing to get a little dirty and try something new. Oh! You will not be taking home your creations same day. You will have to come back to pick them up once they are glazed. Highly recommend!

Painting our pots!

This place was an absolute blast. We took the pottery making class with Alan. He was knowledge, hands on, and personable. The class was very therapeutic and fun. Will definitely be back!

So I had an amazing time here, I brought my mom so we both could learn how to "throw" pottery. I wish we had more time on the pottery wheel, for a 90 minute class you only get 15-20 minutes on the wheel. I feel after making our bowl we should have been offered to ball it up and start again since we now had an idea of what the clay felt like. Victoria was our teacher, but another teacher Emily was also there. They were both nice and took time to explain techniques but you could cut the tension between the two, something clearly was not right between them, Victoria commented that Emily was there to help make her a better teacher. After we were set up to paint Emily disappeared, and didn't even come back out from behind a wall to say bye or check if we needed more paint. We took the family class on a Tuesday afternoon so there were just us and another woman who arrived late. I would suggest the adult class as for $10 more you get to make two bowls, but we couldn't get into that class for another week or more so we opted for the single bowl glass for $35. I would go back, but hope the owner reads this to see if they can offer either a private class or a way to have more time on the wheel to create other beginner projects.

However my two star take away is from the fact that I went on my birthday and arrived between 1:30-2pm. Shortly after arriving and being told to pick our pottery (as many studios have different processes) we waited for further instructions but a party came in and we had to just wait around until they were taken care of(which I will get to why became a problem) Finally a different worker helped us out (she was lovely! Very sweet and bubbly. She had candy cane Christmas nails) So we began to paint, I saw others come in too. At around 3pm we're told they're closing early at 3:30 for a private event so we can wrap up our paint job or take it home and come back. We had been waiting to start because of another party which isn't our fault and took away from our time only to be kicked out early. My issues is 1. Why were we not told the moment we came in they were closing at 3:30 instead of 6pm that Sunday? Why was it not written on the chalk board outside? Seems like a way to just still make money because now people have started the pottery of course they have to come back and finish it and pay you. 2. We don't have family or friends here in FL. My. Family lives across the US, we only were able to go for my birthday because a friend happened to come to town that weekend and offered to watch our kids. So when will I be back to finish this piece of pottery? GOD KNOWS WHEN. We timed it perfectly for ourselves and frankly had we known they were closing in 2 hours or less we would have just left. Also I get that you're renting out for private parties but again not notifying others (even the people that came in probably 30 mins before you planned to close!) is annoying. It was my birthday too, the only thing I cared to do that day and I had to leave, no matter how I scheduled my day around that time frame and even though I wasn't finished. It just gives money hungry vibes to not notify people before allowing them to start.

I had not been to Sam's since they moved across the street a few years ago. As a customer I went for some colored pencils and the staff was extremely helpful in finding items for a gift. I was walked by a staff member to several areas of the store and items to choose from were placed in my hands while the staff member explained the features and made recommendations. The level of customer service and help is something you don't commonly see in retail stores these days. The store has a tranquil vibe which makes it fun to browse the many gift items. Their stock is unique in that they carry a breadth of items that are high quality at a range of prices. You can spend a lot of time here finding inspiration and treasures. They offer art classes and during the Christmas season they offered free make and take craft classes. They had a small cardboard 'house or cottage' setup inside the store with tables stocked with all the supplies you needed for that weeks's free project. This was not just for kids. My friend and I had fun making gift tags the day we were visiting the store. The store is beautiful inside and out.
