This was our first date night since the beginning of the pandemic, and we could NOT have picked a BETTER place. Jess was WONDERFUL, the class was SO much fun, and we came out with beautiful art work. Thank you so much again Jess. We will DEFINITELY be back!!!

I would not recommend this place for a relaxing night out nor would I ever return. It is very loud and very overpriced. The teacher of the class was lovely and the picture we painted was fine....but for the price I was so very disappointed! I thought at least 1 drink would be included, I was wrong. I know a Canvas, the size we used, costs less than $10 max if purchased anywhere else so I know the $34 more than covered that. The worst part was the noise level!! There was music blasting and the teacher used a microphone even though she's standing right in front of you while you paint! The mic was super loud and the instructions/ comments from the teacher were pretty much non stop. It was A LOT of noise! Way too much for the size of the room! If you are someone who is sensitive to loud noise or is prone to anxiety when overstimulated...THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU

I've been to this location twice now and had an amazing time both nights and will be going back again! Fun atmosphere! The instructors make you feel comfortable and confident when painting, even if you've never painted before. I went with my husband whose never painted and never wanted to, and he ended up enjoying himself so much. I enjoy painting on my own and this environment was still fun, and you always pick up tips from other artists, so really it's great for both ends of the spectrum. I can't wait to try one of the kids nights and bring my daughter, I know she will love it. It's located In a nice well lit shopping plaza, parking can get a little crowded if it's a busy movie night since the theater is next door so get there early if possible.

UPDATE - the manager allowed us to return for free and with a new instructor so I hope we will have a better experience! Thank you

We picked the day that the rainbow jellyfish was going to be painted. You can pick a single day, or the whole week for a discounted rate. $48 included tax, 3 hours of instruction (you send your child with water and a snack), and a huge canvas to take home at the end! There was even enough time to allow the kids to pick out a small wooden or ceramic piece to paint as well (my child chose the Christmas tree). This place is easy to find via GPS and has plenty of parking. Inside, there are many painted canvases hung up showcasing all of the beautiful artwork done in the studio. This place also does birthday parties, private events and more! My child loved the experience and we are going to hang up her artwork on the wall in her bedroom. This experience is recommended for kids aged 6-12 years.

I'm honestly baffled that the establishment is called "Painting with a Twist" because to me that insinuates there will be alcohol but I did not know this location was bring your own bottle. I've been to other paint and sip places that either provide the wine or at least have a selection to purchase. Considering that it's BYOB, I feel that the value does not match the price you pay for the class. When we arrived, the canvases were already set up and you were assigned a seat, so you did not get to chose whether you wanted to be closer to the front where the instructor was. My friend and I were placed towards the back, and although they did have TVs around that streamed the instructor live, they were a bit too small and low quality to really make out the details. I was also surprised to see the image we were painting was already draw on the canvas, which I'm sure it's for the sake of time but I personally find it more fun to be instructed step by step to create the painting from scratch. The instructions also felt a tiny bit rushed as I was struggling to keep up, but that could have just been me being too much of a perfectionist. I enjoyed that the instructor took breaks to do trivia and allow people to catch up! One of the instructors had read the books and you could tell she had a passion for Fourth Wing. I also appreciated that they came around and assisted with anyone who needed help. While our main instructor who was painting with us did a phenomenal job, I was a bit distracted by the other instructor who was on her phone every once in a while when she was not waking around assisting people with their paintings. Overall, I had fun but the experience was just ok to me, definitely not what I was expecting for paying almost $50. I was really excited for this, and a little sad that the experience feel short for me.

The two hour class went by in a flash and I left with a picture I'm quite proud of. I cant wait to go again! Our instuctor was Emma and she was awesome. She took us step by step, giving us ample time to finish each step before moving on. She also walked the room assisting wherever anyone needed. At the beginning of class we each put on an apron, Emma went over our tools (canvas, 3 paintbrushes, cup of water, paper towel, and colors...that was it!), and it was time to begin. About an hour in we were given a 15-20 min break to walk around the hotel (our class was held at Embassy Orlando), use the restroom, etc...Once class was over Emma took a picture of each of us, with our paintings, for their FB page. This is perfect for date night (while women dominated, there were guys), ladies night, birthday, etc...No food was served but drinks were on hand for purchase.

Let me start by saying that the event was sold out so the class was full. The room was loud which made it quite difficult to follow and hear the instructor. I have to say that our instructor did an great job at walking us through the different steps. She also walked around the room to help anyone who needed advice or any kind of assistance. She also gave us a 15 mins break to touch up/ finish up, refill our drinks, etc. My criticism for the class is as follows: 1) I felt that the room we had was too small for the size of the class 2) I think the seating should have been better arranged. My friend and I had our backs to the instructor making it hard to follow 3) I know paint nite is supposed to be a great time with friends but at the same time I feel it is important to respect the other participants so that they could also enjoy the experience. My overall experience was OK. I completed the painting but it didn't really look like the example because I skipped a few step, being unable to hear the instructor. I'd like to reiterate that the instructor was AWESOME and did a good job. Some of the participants were loud and it made it hard for others to enjoy.

I Visited Painting with a Twist on Valentine's Day and added candle making to our session. We arrived at 2:30 to make the candle and the front desk was a pigsty. I was shocked there was only one person working the front desk; checking people in, making candles, prepping the canvas, and serving drinks. The candle making process was seamless, although we had to impose on another painting session to choose our scents. The painting portion was expected to start at 3:00. The instructor walked in at 2:30 and the tables were not prepped at all. When booking, it was expressed that this location did not offer BYOB. Midday drinking isn't up our alley anyway, so there was no issue respecting their policy. The front room became jam packed and seats had not been designated with names at this point. We were finally able to sit down and noticed that people brought their own alcohol. A customer asks the instructor if it was okay for them to bring their own alcohol and she allowed it which was very strange to me, as they seemed to be urging people to drink from their "bar" and had a no BYOB policy. 3:30 hit and class had not started. Paint was still being placed on plates, and canvases were still being prepped for the drawing. At around 3:40. My partner and I decided to leave. Letting the front desk staff know that we were leaving. We grabbed our non-painted canvas and they were almost in shock that we wanted to leave with the canvas. If we can't get a refund, we're definitely taking the canvas that we've paid for. We were told to come back for our candle, which we did. This place did not respect our time by any means. The service was pitiful and I can't help but think there's another reason why the service was so bad. No one apologized for the wait or even informed us of the hold. Would not recommend.

It started and ended on time. We had an option between 1 of 2 paintings. The instructor was easy to follow and we played a game - guess the Artist or Group name of the song played. I enjoyed the painting experience and decided to host a painting party. Registering and setting up for the party was simple and straight-forward. The terms were adequately explained and guest registration and tracking was made easy using a website link that they provided. The party involved a deposit, selecting the painting, providing a music selection and having at least 10 registered guests. The choice of paintings were numerous with over 1000 options. For the painting, I chose Butterfly on a Pink Moon, however, I chose to use purple in lieu of pink. So, I guess my personal art title is Butterfly on a Purple Moon. During the planning/waiting phase, when I had questions, I was always able to reach someone, and they were able to assist me. Our party was in the smaller painting room in the back, and I was allowed to bring in food, drinks and decorations. Just fyi, the venue does have alcoholic drinks and water for purchase at very reasonable prices. During the party, we played a game - guess what the instructor was drawing - and the prize was a painting done by one of the instructors. I really enjoyed the event and my guests indicated that they also had a good time. Our instructor, Nancy, was good. Overall, I found this type of activity to be very enjoyable, easy to set-up and would enjoy doing it again. I recommend checking out any of their events that are open to the public. The venue offers in-studio events, private parties, at-home paint kits and pop in & DIY. Candle making is an option that can be added on.
