I haven't painted a picture since elementary but i saw a Groupon for Paint Nite and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did because this was so fun! The two hour class went by in a flash and I left with a picture I'm quite proud of. I cant wait to go again! Our instuctor was Emma and she was awesome. She took us step by step, giving us ample time to finish each step before moving on. She also walked the room assisting wherever anyone needed. At the beginning of class we each put on an apron, Emma went over our tools (canvas, 3 paintbrushes, cup of water, paper towel, and colors...that was it!), and it was time to begin. About an hour in we were given a 15-20 min break to walk around the hotel (our class was held at Embassy Orlando), use the restroom, etc...Once class was over Emma took a picture of each of us, with our paintings, for their FB page. This is perfect for date night (while women dominated, there were guys), ladies night, birthday, etc...No food was served but drinks were on hand for purchase. read more

I saw a groupon for Paint nite and my friend and i decided to buy it and give it a shot. I have gone to Painting with a twist and i figured it would be the same kind of experience. Let me start by saying that the event was sold out so the class was full. The room was loud which made it quite difficult to follow and hear the instructor. I have to say that our instructor did an great job at walking us through the different steps. She also walked around the room to help anyone who needed advice or any kind of assistance. She also gave us a 15 mins break to touch up/ finish up, refill our drinks, etc. My criticism for the class is as follows: 1) I felt that the room we had was too small for the size of the class 2) I think the seating should have been better arranged. My friend and I had our backs to the instructor making it hard to follow 3) I know paint nite is supposed to be a great time with friends but at the same time I feel it is important to respect the other participants so that they could also enjoy the experience. My overall experience was OK. I completed the painting but it didn't really look like the example because I skipped a few step, being unable to hear the instructor. I'd like to reiterate that the instructor was AWESOME and did a good job. Some of the participants were loud and it made it hard for others to enjoy. read more

I WANT TO DO THIS AGAIN! This was so much fun and so refreshing from other things that I've done for GNO or Date Nights. It's a good opportunity to get out and explore your creative side and paint a new wall decoration. You buy your ticket beforehand and choose the "Paint Nite" you want to go to, paintings depends on which day you choose to go on. This is all on their website, which was really nice because we weren't going in there blind and didn't up getting disappointed with what we would be painting that day. The paint, brushes and canvas are provided for us and is already set up and ready to go as soon as we got there. There were two workers there, one was the teacher who guided us through step by step of how to paint the canvas, and the other walked around to assist us as we needed.. more napkin, water, paint.. anything we needed. You can order wine or snacks as you want as well. Both workers were very friendly and really helpful with what we needed, if we needed help. There was a break in the middle for you to get up and stretch, use the bathroom and to let your paint dry. Definitely doing this again, thoroughly enjoyed it. 2019 Review 4/100 What a fun activity for a girls' night out! I purchased two passes to use with my mom for her birthday and we had a blast! The particular event we went to was hosted at World of Beer downtown. Great venue because you could grab some great food and happy hour drinks while painting. Our project was a ballerina. I grew up in dance so this was a special one for us. The instructor was not only super friendly and funny but she made everyone feel comfortable and gave great instruction. Paint Nite makes for a fun night out with friends! You are almost always able to purchase a discount voucher on Living Social or Groupon, so check there before purchasing from their site directly! When you do reserve a date, you are able to pick based on date and time, difficulty level painting and location as the events take place at several bars and restaurants in the area. I've attended two Paint Nites, both at Bar Louie. Upon arriving at the location, you're able to check in and choose your seats. The event started at 7, so it was recommended to get there early to grab seats and snag some happy hour drinks before the event starts! At Bar Louie there are high top and low top tables, so it's nice to go early so you can choose seats with a view of the stage that you prefer. Each seat is set up with an easel and canvas, about three colors of paint that you'll mix throughout the night to make other colors brushes and a cup of water to clean your brushes. You also gets smock to wear during the event. The instructor does a great job at walking everyone through the steps of the painting process, while also demonstrating themselves. There is usually an assistant taking pictures that can get you additional supplies if needed, but a self-serve station is also set up. The instructor will also make rounds to help provide tips. The whole process takes a couple hours, longer than I expected! At the end of the event, you can take some photos by the Paint Nite backdrop. They also ask for your help with cleanup, so keep that in mind. Paint Nite is a nice group activity! Full disclosure, though: both my paintings currently reside in my closet. Can't say I'm super proud of my end product, but it was fun nonetheless. read more

What is not to love about Paint Nite? You get to paint beautiful pictures (with no previous painting experience) and you get to drink your beverage of choice, which only helps the creative process! I had originally made my reservation for a different painting, but it was cancelled. That's fine with me because there are so many different paintings to choose from and ones that I want to paint. I emailed Paint Nite with my new selection and they re-reserved myself and my friend. It was very easy. When you arrive, you give the assistant your name and they give you a smock. I highly recommend that you arrive early because you will want to sit somewhere with good lighting and seats go fast. Typically, I arrive at least 20 minutes ahead of time. There are always at least a handful of people that have already arrived and selected their seats. One of my previous Paint Nites, I was one of the last people to arrive and I had to sit where there wasn't a lot of lighting. It makes the experience a little more challenging. Additionally, arriving early gives you time to order a drink prior to starting. The painting itself is very easy. The instructors are so helpful in breaking down the steps so that you have a masterpiece when you are finished. My friends were very concerned because, like myself, they had no painting experience. They even contemplated bringing a pencil to outline everything! That is not necessary. You can't really see it, but most of the time you draw shapes and connect them. Super easy! You can also change up the color scheme or modify your painting how you want. This is such a great experience. I have gone with a group of people and I have also gone by myself. I always have so much fun. I recommend that everyone should try this at least once. read more

Attended another Paint Nite at Dexter's and again the woman leading it wasn't the friendliest--but not nearly as bad as the first experience. They still mentioned that we could clean up our own areas which I still find to be weird but it wasn't as "encouraged" as the first time. read more

Such a fun experience! Our Paint Nite location was the Park Plaza Gardens restaurant in Winter Park, and our instructor was the charming and funny Emma. We were provided with all the materials, including the paint smock. I have no idea how to paint, but the instructions were clear and simple. Emma have through a microphone as she painted along, which definitely helped. The room itself was beautiful. Emma and her assistant were super friendly, walked the room to offer guidance and encouragement. As the evening progressed, it would have been nice to have a bit more lighting. We were provided with menus. Some folks ate, most everyone had drinks. The instructors do appreciate a tip at the end. Participants assist with the cleanup process by turning in their supplies at the front table. While my painting will probably end up behind my sofa or under my bed, I am already looking forward to the next Paint Nite event!! read more

Went to my first paint nite event tonight! Perfect girls night!! My friends and I purchased a groupon for the company, then went to their site and chose the date, location and painting that worked for all of us. They offer classes all over Orange, Osceola and Seminole county. This one was hosted at Harry Buffalos and the instructor was Megan Macgregor. They provide a canvas, plate with paints, brushes and smock at each seat. The instructor has a completed painting set up and then she leads the class step by step on a new one, while speaking over a wireless headset. She also walked around and gave helpful hints. We took a ten minute break halfway through and the whole process took just over 2 hours. There were also two helpers walking around giving you fresh supplies and taking pictures which were uploaded to Facebook within an hour of me being home! Some tips: -arrive about 30 minutes early, especially if you want to save seats for a group -bring a few dollars cash for tips for the instructors after, I wish I had known this ahead of time because they did an awesome job - there isn't much room on the table with the art supplies set up, so don't expect to eat while you're doing this read more

I did two from Groupon. One in February at Wine Scene in WPB and one in March at Purgreens in Boca. I love Wine Scene and it was a great location for the class. Small class but was a nice night outside and a fun hour of planting. The one at Purgreens was outside as well and had a large group. The class was almost 25mins late because 2 ppl hadn't arrived and so I started because I already had an idea of what to do and I only had 2hour parking. So I went ahead and she wasn't too happy about that - oops. I really like my terrariums. They're growing! read more

I recently surprised my wife with reservations for Paint Nite (this particular class taking place at the Renaissance Hotel across from Sea World). We both really enjoyed it. The instructor was clear and helpful and had a good sense of humor. She'll even tell you your painting looks good, when it clearly does not. The bar at the Renaissance took drink orders throughout the event, and they offered food although I don't know if anyone ordered anything -- the space between the easels was pretty small and didn't give us a whole lot of room. We had such a good evening that we were planning the next time almost immediately. Check Groupon before getting tickets, and plan ahead -- some of the classes can sell out pretty far in advance. We had only one complaint, which was not really the fault of Paint Nite: the Renaissance Hotel lobby is naturally lit, and it started to get dark less than halfway into the event. By the time we reached the halfway mark, everyone was using their cellphone lights to see what they were doing. Lights were set up on tripods to help out, but they were far too few in number and too low in power. If this venue continues to be in the rotation, I'd recommend that Paint Nite invest in more and better lighting to allow painters to see what colors they're mixing up. :) read more

Paint Nite is a great experience for all levels of painting experience. Our class was at the Renaissance hotel at Sea World. Never visiting the hotel before, this was a treat because the inside of this hotel is absolutely beautiful! I love how all the windows face into the lobby with decorations on some of the window seals. Emma was our instructor and she was very polite and assisted when needed. Once you check in you are given a smock to cover your clothes and you choose where you want to sit. At each chair was the canvas, brushes, paints, cup of water and paper towel. Throughout the class if you need anymore paint, water paper towel they were available to us. There was a break in the middle of the class to let our canvas paint dry a bit more before moving onto the next piece of the painting. This time gave us a chance to go to the restroom and check out some more of the hotel. While walking around the instructor also assist if you want to change your painting up. I added some dots to my painting. Not every painting has to be the same which lets your creativity show. Will definitely try to go back to another class. read more

We went to kings bowling for this event. The set up for the area was rather cumbersome. The event also started 35 minutes late due to traffic on the highway. The event seemed rushed because of this. Additional paint and support were never offered throughout the entirety of the event. Instead of being able to leisurely finish your painting you were rushed out and asked to clean up your own area. The instructor was incredibly hard to hear due to a malfunctioning headset and what should have been an easy painting turned into a disaster. When I did finally ask for help, I was asked if I was drinking and that perhaps i should be since it would "loosen me up" and make me a better painter. Kidding or not, this just rubbed me the wrong way. read more

It was my friends birthday and wanted to keep it pretty low key. She decided on Paint Nite being held at Bar Louie. I've done something like this in the past and I must say that my experience was very different. Although our instructor was good and informative, I found myself lost on a few steps. Sometimes it was hard to hear( no fault of his), the room was dark (again not his fault), and when he would show the steps on the canvas, those of us on my side of the room couldn't see what he did because he would inadvertently block our view as he painted. During one of our breaks, I walked up to the bar to order a drink and was told that we have a server. We had been there for 45 minutes already and never saw them. I guess someone went to get it because all of a sudden he was here. After it was all said and done, our paintings didn't come out as bad as we thought. It was a fun time and we had a blast with the new friends we met at our table. I just think that maybe if it would have been held at another venue, the experience could have been better. read more

This was our first paint and wine experience! And, it was awesome. Frank our instructor was patient, funny and talented. There were folks of various experience levels. Some folks finished the painting before we officially began the evenings. Others were pure beginners just like me. I felt like a true artist after completing my work. The instructions were easy to understand even for someone like me who'd rather look an Excel spreadsheet than sketch a design. The location was at Bar Louis. So, the drinks were a little pricey but events are held all over. And, you can see an idea of what the final design and the level of ease when you sign up for a call. We signed up for the "desert evening" and my entire group had a ball! I would definitely recommend this for a date night, girl outing or team event! I'd even go by myself. We used a Groupon. The venue was horrible. It was set up in a bar with no lighting. Everyone was using the flashlights on their phone to see what they were painting. Unless you were sitting in the first or second seat you could not see or hear the artist demonstrate what she was doing. We were all cramped into a very small space. A few colleagues and I decided to do Paint Night as a team outing. We saw a groupon for $25.00. I haven't had this much fun is such a long time. Our instructor was Emma (Jane Austen Emma) and she was a doll. We painted "The birds" I was so impressed how organized they were. My entire group had a blast painting. Everything was set up. Easel, canvas, paints, water cup, brushes, and smocks. She really made it fun. I loved using the creative side of my brain. My only criticism, and it's not worth even losing a star, is that Graffiti junktion was where our event was. We were all so cramped in the chairs and the music was loud. I recommend a quieter place, but that's just me. It didn't affect my absolutely fun time. I got home my husband was amazed and wanted to hang my picture up. Looks difficult but it's actually very easy!!! I don't think I've painted since high school, and I did it!!! Simple you just check in, they give you an apron, brushes, paint and canvasses are all supplied for you, and they give you all the colors you'll need for the night, already placed on a plate for you. And the teacher walks the class step by step. It's only 2 hours long.. They do these at bars and restaurants (I guess to help out their business..Get their name out there while helping the paint company too) and you don't have to order anything, you're not obligated at all. It's more of a drink and paint event, but the waiter gave us food menus. Check the website, you can pick a day that you want to paint, and then there's a picture of what you'll be painting. Fun experience, although it was freezing in the bar we were at. The organizers did nothing to warm it up like close the doors. They said they were not allowed to. I didn't pay to paint and freeze! I booked this event from Groupon, and I had no issues booking. However, I go to the scheduled event and was turned away. The unpleasant unprofessional rude host treated my party unacceptably uncouth. The host decided to change the time of the event, originally it was scheduled for 7pm and she said she started at 6 pm lol. I arrived at the location at 6:30pm and this is a 2 hour event, there were not a soul there. When I arrived she was breaking down the set up, people were coming in and she turned everyone away! She made it clear she was a1099 employee and has no control on how the reimbursement works. Honestly, I felt like slapping her! I realized she was a complete moron and moved on. I attempted to contact the Merchant and have been unsuccessful. I purchased 2 tickets and now to find any assistance has become a nightmare. I will go through my bank, this is a scam. On their original website they have a number 1855-626-6257, I called and all I received are propaganda. I will also report them to the Better Business Bureaus! read more

My sister and I did the Josephine painting at the Renaissance Sea World. Our instructor was Emma Kenemer and her helper was "Hunky" Hunter. Emma and Hunter were very helpful! Emma was super entertaining. The painting was a beginners painting and the more you drink the better the painting. We will def. recommend Paint Note and Emma. read more
