I attended a rug making birthday party at Rugged Perspective and I highly recommend! This was my first time doing this activity and loved it. The owner was very nice and super helpful. She even finished my rug for me when we ran out of time. The price for this activity was good as it included materials, tutorials, and hours of crafting time. I can't wait to take another class!

Rugged Perspective is such a cool and unique space! The entire experience was amazing I booked it for my birthday with a few friends and we had the best time. I love that they let you grab drinks from the spot next door which was such a fun touch. The team is incredibly patient and helpful when teaching you how to use the tufting gun. For everything that's included the value for the price is honestly amazing. You get a full creative experience a beautiful space and guidance throughout which makes it so worth it. If you're looking for a fun creative activity in a seriously stylish space this is a place you absolutely need to add to your list. The studio is not only super functional but also a total vibe. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed and perfect for group photos or just soaking in the energy! Highly recommend for birthdays group outings or anyone wanting to try something new and creative.

5 stars for an experience unlike anything I have done before. A friend of mine planned tufting for her birthday and although I was a little skeptical at first, I am so glad I joined. I immediately remembered that they were at the Science Center this year for the Celestial Ball. Prior to arriving we paid online and sent our designs ahead of our experience. When we got there our designs were already sketched out and placed at our stations. From there we got some practice and training from Cassandra, we were ready to go. We were there for at least 3 hours having the best time. They offer to finish, cleanup/shave, and glue your rug once it's complete and you will be notified when it's ready to be picked up. Such a fun experience and I loved that we're able to bring drinks, food, and a cake to celebrate my friend. Great service the entire time and so glad we got to support a local woman owned business!

$40 for scrap day?! It might sound like you aren't getting much, but in reality there were so many color options to choose from! Plus, the owner was open and willing to get us additional colors if we ran out. Amazing experience!! Definitely hoping to go again within the year!

So much fun! I've been trying to learn more artsy and hands on skills this year, so when I learned about Rugged Perspective in the Milk District, I had to sign up for a rug tufting class! The classes do sell out often, but you can get priority dibs on booking if you sign up for their newsletter. The class itself was well structured. You pick your design in advance so it's already prepared on the frame for you. You can design anything you'd like, but a simple design with an outline works best (think cartoon style). The owner, Arelys, walked us through a demo of using the tufting gun, and we got to practice with it before starting our own design. The class is long (about 4 hours) but Arelys played fun music and was on hand to help with any tricky parts. It's more physically demanding than you'd think, so bring a drink and make sure you're stretching too! Note that because the gluing and finishing takes time, you probably won't be able to take your rug home the same day. You can come back later in the week to pick it up. Really fun class and I definitely recommend it. I also love that they have a date night class on Tuesdays that's timed to coincide with Tasty Tuesday next door so you can grab dinner!

By far the coolest workshop I've ever participated in! My friend and I received gift certificates for Christmas from my mom after we kept talking about this business from the posts all over instagram. We booked the class on the website and arrived to our projects we submitted already outlined. (Thank goodness because I can not draw!) Detailed instruction was provided and even practiced using the tufting gun prior to using it on our own rug creations. It took me a little bit of working with the tufting gun to really get the hang of things. But once I did, I WAS OFF! It was so cool to see my rug come to life after each color was used. I received assistance when needed and lots of helpful tips. Do not be hesitant taking this class if you are a beginner. I was too and was able to create the cutest rug! The owner was sooooo helpful and nice. I can't wait to book another class in the future. My favorite crafting project I've ever done. Thank you!

From the moment you arrive the attention is Superb. You are taught what to do and you start your rug project. The activity is so soothing and calming, the ambiance Amazing! You end up with a beautiful rug madish by you and a Happy and relaxed feeling. Will definitely book a couples session next time, hopefully soon. My family and I Highly recommend booking a session! Totally worth the price and you go home with a Beautiful rug.

This was so much fun and we can't wait to go back to do more projects here. If you are on the fence just do it because!

Came to Orlando for a visit and found Rugged Perspective. We had a great time. The instructor Cassandra was great. Would highly recommend checking it out.

Well! This was such an awesome experience. Now I'm like.... Almost a year past due to post. So sorry! However, I came for my little sister's birthday. There was 6 of us and the owner was the SWEETEST! You will submit your rug inspo in advanced so they draw an outline for you to follow. The day of they will begin with showing you what you're doing and how to maneuver the gun to put your rug together. She ensures that you get to try it yourself to get comfortable on using it. She also allowed you to bring outside food and beverages to continue the entertainment while designing your rug. We had music, laughter, and memories that will last a life time. They are there to help you as you move along the process of making your rug. Any mistakes, don't you sweat, they make sure it's PERFECT, before you get your rug - typically they will keep the rug for another week to got through any imperfections and fix any errors. At the end of the night, she brought a little cake for my sister to sign happy birthday which we loved so much. Added such a sweet touch to the experience. While it is a little expensive - depending on what size etc - the individual attention, care, and expertise compensates in its self. Definitely would recommend doing this.

We found the perfect activity for friends or family in Orlando. My family and I checked out Rugged Perspective and we had the best time. I brought my grandma and my mom and it was so fun spending quality time with them and learning how to tuft. We first got a tutorial from the owner herself Arelys, and then started making our rugs. My grandma was so talented and did not give up even though her design was the most advanced. Mallow was so excited to start using the rugs. Make sure to check out her classes! Had the best time with the best people. Thank you to Arelys and her team for all their help along the way! We are so happy with how our rugs turned out. Book your class before they're sold out! You definitely need to try it!

Sonja explained the process simply in the way only an expert could. I needed advice on my earrings, and she helped me add a pop of green. Sonja was very informative, friendly, and encouraging. She managed people working on different steps or different speeds well. I never felt rushed during the process. Some people were back at class for a second time, and there were a lot of new people. There were eight people in this class. You got to make two necklaces, two pairs of earrings, or one of each. I made one of each. She had gold and silver colors. I only looked at silver, but she had teardrop earrings and pendants and circle earrings and pendants, some small and some large. For the decoration, she had a lot of different flowers, leaves, gems, and glitter, what looked like stickers but were probably not, and other items. She let us take pictures of the products she used in the workshop (ex. the brand of resin she used). It's a lovely shop with a lot of lovely products to buy but also no pressure to buy. I did end up buying some coin dishes for my desk though and a book. You can bring food, and I did. Autumn and Ro is located between Florida Wax House and Glass Orlando, and there is free parking in the back. They're right across from Santiago's Bodega. 10/10 would recommend. They also do a bunch of other classes as well.

To name a few, the store has clothing, candles, soaps, jewelry, paintings, and pottery. Many of the items are handcrafted or painted by different artists. I could tell she cared about the artists because she talked a bit about them and their work. There was some paintings of motions of water on canvas and necklace pendants. The store newly opened just about 4 months ago, so I am glad I walked by this store on accident.

The two hour class went by in a flash and I left with a picture I'm quite proud of. I cant wait to go again! Our instuctor was Emma and she was awesome. She took us step by step, giving us ample time to finish each step before moving on. She also walked the room assisting wherever anyone needed. At the beginning of class we each put on an apron, Emma went over our tools (canvas, 3 paintbrushes, cup of water, paper towel, and colors...that was it!), and it was time to begin. About an hour in we were given a 15-20 min break to walk around the hotel (our class was held at Embassy Orlando), use the restroom, etc...Once class was over Emma took a picture of each of us, with our paintings, for their FB page. This is perfect for date night (while women dominated, there were guys), ladies night, birthday, etc...No food was served but drinks were on hand for purchase.

Let me start by saying that the event was sold out so the class was full. The room was loud which made it quite difficult to follow and hear the instructor. I have to say that our instructor did an great job at walking us through the different steps. She also walked around the room to help anyone who needed advice or any kind of assistance. She also gave us a 15 mins break to touch up/ finish up, refill our drinks, etc. My criticism for the class is as follows: 1) I felt that the room we had was too small for the size of the class 2) I think the seating should have been better arranged. My friend and I had our backs to the instructor making it hard to follow 3) I know paint nite is supposed to be a great time with friends but at the same time I feel it is important to respect the other participants so that they could also enjoy the experience. My overall experience was OK. I completed the painting but it didn't really look like the example because I skipped a few step, being unable to hear the instructor. I'd like to reiterate that the instructor was AWESOME and did a good job. Some of the participants were loud and it made it hard for others to enjoy.
