Process is simple. Make your reservation online. Show up at that date and time and all your supplies are included- canvas, paint, smock. I have been looking forward to visiting Calliope Street ever since I heard about the wine slushies made there. I had finally made it in and it was worth it. As we walked in the store, my eyes wandered from wall to wall. There are displays, paintings, glassware and other items that grabs your attention. We were greeted and spoke with the owner of the store for a while. I ordered The Raven specialty slushie. It is made from mango, strawberry, lemon, rum and triple sec. It was delicious. I had to keep reminding myself to pace myself and not to drink too fast. It was that good. It was not too strong and tasted great. Calliope Street offers painting classes. You only need 4 people minimum for a private party. They not only provide slushies but also offer other alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for purchase. After many years of passing through this mall and being jealous of those who were painting, it was finally my turn! Went here with a group of friends and it was the best thing we've ever done as a group. We reserved a private party of 5 and chose the waterfall painting. Deposit of $35 each person was required to save our spot. Denise, owner and painter was with us the whole night. She made us comfortable and laugh. I'm not a painter, but Denise was very encouraging the whole time which motivated me to keep going. They serve beer, wine and slushies to keep you hydrated the whole time! To my surprise, they had glitter paint that we all added onto our canvas! I highly recommend this place to anyone. I did a Bulbasaur painting class here today. I really enjoyed the class. They provided aprons, brushes, paint, canvas and other supplies. I paid for the class online ahead of time on the website. There are wine, slushies and kid friendly drinks available before the class. The instructor was patient and showed step by step how to paint. This store was a delight. It is a wine boutique that offers painting classes for individuals and groups. I was invited by a co-worker and we were in a group of about 5. This class was full with about 30 people. Today with were painting Koalas and it was a fundraiser with proceeds going to Australia. There are small easels on the table with a white canvas all set to create the masterpieces. The paints to be used are already poured on plates next to the easels. The person leading the class displays a finished painting for inspiration. It is intimidating to start with a blank canvas knowing there is pre determined outcome instead of just painting clouds or something abstract. To start our instructions were to mix some white with green and blue then paint the entire background. Then let it dry until it is no longer shiny. There are fans to help the drying process. Next take the piece of white chalk and start drawing your koala for this particular class. Once you get started it is easier. The instructor is helpful and the people our group were supportive. Before you know it the picture comes together. As you are painting several wine samples are served. The decor is whimsical, eclectic and fun. There is art, plates, glasses and wine for sale. Our class lasted 3 hours and went by fast. They will take group picture of the class if you want to participate. If you are looking for a unique fun time this is the place. read more

The Winey Wench is that shop in the mall we all pass with piqued curiosity (whether we want to admit it or not). But for a special price of $15 last night, my niece and I were surprised by how quickly we learned to tap into our inner Van Gogh and paint Jack Skellington. The talented and professional staff were skilled at making us feel welcome and that there is no wrong way to express yourself as an artist - particularly, an amateur one. The wine samples were thimble-sized, but no less enjoyable. I enjoyed the pineapple-flavored Moscato - many of us did. I honestly don't thing 5 stars is enough for the lovely experience we had with establishment. I signed up myself and the kiddos for the paint your pet class. We had lots of questions and got excellent and prompt customer service. I reserved our spots online. There is a discount for kids but if have more than one tou have to Register them separately for it to work. Also kids can ONLY do pop art style and for good reason! Lovely local winery and paint day/night venue located in the Oviedo Mall. You get free samples of wine and slushes when you just visit true store and while you paint! Tasty! The staff members are extremely helpful and friendly. You can paint on a canvas, wine glass and a coffee mug for a reasonable cost. Calliope Street has taken the wine & paint concept to the next level with a wine and art shop incorporated in their event space. This weekend a group of 12 of us went here for a private class, and it was a blast. Like most wine & paint classes, the canvas, paint, brushes, and smocks were all provided with the instruction. The instructor was kind and patient and encouraging and fun, and made an effort to get to know us, which I appreciated. All the class took inspiration and instruction from the main painting (which we selected prior to the class), but the instructor worked with the few who decided to take their artwork into their own direction. Also included in the instruction is a complimentary wine tasting! They had a nice variety of options, and if you liked any of the ones you tried you could buy a bottle on the spot. Which brings me to my last big "rave" about Calliope Street. Given that we were a larger group and reserved our own time, we were able to bring in a few cheese and crackers plates and grapes to enjoy. We purchased a handful of bottles of wine from their shop, and were able to have a really great night. read more

Good wine slushies! We went for a friend's birthday and she was able to pick her painting that we painted. It was a fun experience, we had the wine tasting with it too. I was not a fan of most of the wines, 2/6, we tried but the strawberry one was very good, and their dessert wine would have been best in a milkshake! I have done a lot of these classes before and this was by far my favorite... the teacher had so many interesting facts to give out and the numerous wine samples were a nice touch. A few of us couldn't find the location because it was hidden inside of the mall and walked right past it. Once inside the atmosphere is great and the staff always welcome to help. Had a good little girl's night here recently with a friend as we decided to do a paint class here. The mood and atmosphere was PERFECT for the class (we happened to be the only ones who signed up... haha) but the ladies still had a good time with us. We had Dorothy as our teacher and she was super nice and made us feel comfortable and at ease (this was after a pretty stressful day at work...) During the class they serve wine samples. They were served in Verrrryyyy tiny little cups and I think we had a total of 5 or 6 samples which would total maybe a glass of wine? I thought we would be able to purchase full glasses? Maybe we could but it was never offered. The woman serving us the wine (I forget her name...) was very knowledgeable and helped me with making a decision with which wine I wanted to purchase at the end of the night. Even though the samples were tiny I got to try wines I wouldn't normally try so that was pretty nice. I will definitely want to come back again :) read more

Just a great experience overall. "Denise" totally rocks this and makes it fun and relaxing. She encourages total self acceptance the whole time which is great for most anxious painters. Her extensive knowledge of wine is quite impressive and painting with wine-tasting is the perfect combination. I love coming to this place because you will always find a unique wine to try. They are the only place that I can get one of my favorite Zinfandels. The staff has always been super helpful! If you have a specific need or are looking for a particular wine they can help you find it. This location is in the Oviedo mall but there is one on Altamonte as well. They offer daily samples of their wine slushies but please note that although they have alcohol in them you're not going to get waisted from drinking them. Lol! Ask for samples of the wines. This store is pretty big and offers a nice variety of wines and various wine apparel and gifts. Make sure you check out their monthly Wine and Paint nights. They even offer a wine glass painting night. Makes for a fun time with your friends. If you're looking for a cheap bottle of wine then you may want to stick to your local grocery store but you're not going to get the quality. My coworker invited us to TWW Mon, Feb 20. It was a $15 special that included 5 small wine tastings. The instructor was fun, helpful, and encouraging by reminding us " it doesn't have to be perfect". LOL Some of the tastings were yummy and my favorite was a red Italian semi sweet. I would do this again for $15, but not $30. The décor is colorful, vibrant, welcoming, organized, and clean. I took my boyfriend out for a surprise date and we did a private paint class for just us two. I was able to choose our painting which they divided into two so that we each had our own half of the whole portrait to paint. That had a large selection of options online and in store.
