We toured the facilities, the workshops, we actually sat down for some demos from the visual arts department, and then gathered around a kiln for a raku ceramics demo, which was ideal on a cold winter afternoon (winter in Florida?). Also, we were able to visit the gallery, which was hosting a photograph exhibit on the history of turn of the century Lake Apopka, about 40 miles away due West, and that was very interesting and enlightening. We also printed a poster, among other things. Personally, I think it was fun to talk/meet some of the faculty, not that I am immediately looking for a new teacher, but it is good to pick one who has some similarities, or none at all. Challenge yourself. After this visit, I will consider taking some classes here. Or come to more events. I really like Crealdé.

I pointed out the policy and was told that "session" didn't mean class and it was incorrect so I couldn't get my money back. This is fraudulent. I will be contacting the correct state department for this. This is extremely unprofessional and clearly lacks clarity. If your policy is outdated, correct it on the website. I've attached the policy as a picture.

As we walked in the store, my eyes wandered from wall to wall. There are displays, paintings, glassware and other items that grabs your attention. We were greeted and spoke with the owner of the store for a while. I ordered The Raven specialty slushie. It is made from mango, strawberry, lemon, rum and triple sec. It was delicious. I had to keep reminding myself to pace myself and not to drink too fast. It was that good. It was not too strong and tasted great. Calliope Street offers painting classes. You only need 4 people minimum for a private party. They not only provide slushies but also offer other alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for purchase. Now is the time to visit and enjoy everything Calliope has to offer. Calliope Street will be closing after December as the owner is retiring.

At first I felt excited and nervous, just because it's a new experience for me.However, Nicole, Blake, Megan & even Ms. Ivann made me feel so welcome! I joined in on a culinary class based on sauces, stocks and soups and the guests did an amazing job. The concept of the volunteer is to guide the guests & just be a kind person in their culinary journey This venue is breathtaking, the kitchen is awesome and the knowledge you gain is so worth the experience. I will definitely be back to volunteer again! The guests made: mac and cheese, green bean casserole, kale soup & an awesome salad with the veggies sourced from their own garden Please take a class! Ever since Publix Aprons Cooking School closed, I've been looking for a cooking school that has fun adult classes. The Kitchen House has just started a monthly "book club" called Plot to Plate where they feature a book that relates to or includes recipes. This month was Lessons in Chemistry so my friends and I decided to attend. We bought our tickets in advance as classes can sell out. The classes are different prices depending on what the class is. The house is in a residential neighborhood in College Park and does not have a dedicated parking lot so I would suggest getting there early as you have to find a spot along the street. When we arrived, we were greeted and given a welcome drink, in this case Cardamom Decaf Coffee because it was cold out. One of the instructors said that normally we would walk the garden at the beginning of class and also eat outdoors but since it was cold, we were going to skip the garden and eat inside. Once everyone arrived (cooking classes can have up to 20 people), we met in the lobby to start talking about different themes of the book. Then it was time to wash up and go to the kitchen. All the ingredients were set out for us and we picked the Veggie Pot Pie table with other attendees. The instructor gave us some knife skills lessons and then we all started cooking, using the recipes at our station. Each station makes one recipe so you don't get to make everything. And, the instructors and volunteers don't show you how to make everything first (like Publix Aprons used to do). But, if you just dig in and start going, it is a lot of fun. We had some questions along the way, like is there a spatula we can use? Or, is this the flour or the cornstarch? The volunteers were great and answered everything in a friendly way. As it said you could do in the welcome email we received before the class, some folks brought their own wine and the Kitchen House provided glasses and would pour for you. I think if we go back, we would definitely bring our own wine. My friends and I made the drop biscuits for the Veggie Pot Pie, which were surprisingly easy to make. We were finished early so we also make the Brownies for dessert that used olive oil and maple syrup instead of butter and sugar. When everyone was done cooking, we gathered in the lobby again while the volunteers cleaned and set up the table for dinner. Then, it was time to eat! Dinner was served buffet style and the Kitchen House split our food for people who had different dietary restrictions. For example, some of the recipes used non-dairy alternatives as some people in the class were lactose intolerant and one person had a mushroom allergy so they got a small spinach gallette instead of the mushroom Gallette for everyone else. As we sat down to eat, we discussed the book more in depth. Everything tasted great and we had a wonderful time. We received all the recipes in an email after the class so we could make the foods at home. I will definitely be looking at other adult classes here.

First off I'll just go right out the gate and tell you I give willow school five stars. Why do you…read moresay? Because of willow school is a private school like no other and that is why I drive 40 miles each way every single day to take my son there. There are very few, if any other schools, like willow school in the Orlando area whatsoever. The market need for remedial education schools that focus Inc. Lee much so on scholastic information and as I said true remedial and or intervention. The marketplace however does not meet the need anywhere within the Orlando's area. Last year there were two campuses, one in Winter Springs the original location and an expansion location in Maitland on Maitland Boulevard. As of May 2015 no 2016 the Maitland campus was closed due to low attendance. Just being honest. The original Winter Springs location is still there and it all students transferred over that desire to stay with the school for the 2016 2017 school year. So OK, there you have a little bit of background information to better understand the dynamics of the school how when and where they tried to expand etc. let's take a moment to talk about what really matters and that's the school itself... My son has auditory processing disorder. What is it? Basically get a nutshell it's like every single sound in every single room is all the same volume. The clock ticking say volume. Someone talking exactly volume ticket. Quiet music in the background exactly volume is everything else. The moving of a chair or the clanking of dishes at a restaurant bar in the distant background all the same volume. Now, this is something we been working with since he was three years old and he has made tremendous progress, and let me know that the largest games in any sort of areas of personal and scholastic growth have happened at primarily while at willow school. The class sizes are small, I believe my son has between 67 students on average in his class. One thing that is absolutely stupendous about the school is that there is no standardize placement in grade level for reading and math. You are in your grade level at your place into the appropriate map and or reading class in order to ensure that you are performing the best at the levels would you are currently cable. This is why the school focuses on intervention of education for reading and writing and is not a specialty school for autism. They do not have a behavior list on South so aid are not equipped to handle students with autism nor is it their focus. There's nothing wrong with that whatsoever I believe that is actually much better for pure transparency and to let PEREZ know what you're searching and mostly for the right school for the child that this cool is not a possibility. They have a fairly structured and Spero application and shadowing process for a child maybe in rolled into the school. This is not an elitist Dave approach, but rather one that focuses on match in the child with the correct school. That is there golf match the child with the correct school if they're good match for willow school, then they will join the family. My sons reading progress over the course of last year expanded for groove by two grade level's within the first nine months at the school, you can just do it that's not incredible gain and remediation it is purest sense. The status amazing, it's a small school, but the staff is outstanding and I could ask for no more. Leslie I would like to address comments on after-school activities. With a student body under 100 is very difficult to find a one-size-fits-all afterschool activity Thomas boards, recreation, are, music or whatever have you been to the school is first through 12 grade fully accredited to graduate students By the state to Florida. It should be doing noted that will a student do 95% of their homework at school intentionally. Why you ask? Because the school acknowledgeable to the fact that the children need others drive long distances (like me) so they want the kids to be able to be involved near home. My son does Karate, golf and cub scouts in our hood with kids from our area.....that makes sense if you ask me. What's the bottom line? The schools amazing. It may not be for everyone, but is just what my son needed. Small classes. Intensive education. And non-traditional approaches to teaching reading and writing that are scientifically proven. If I could afford to send my other two kids it good to public-school to willow school simply because it will not only catch children up to grade level but they will also continue to have them excel past their grade level in preparation for college. It may not be for everyone like a said but is just right place for us. So if you're looking give them a call and administration Staff will take it from there. You will NOT be disappointed.
