As a homeschool parent of three teenagers, it's hard to find something that sparks all of their interests at once but this absolutely did. This was hands down their favorite activity in a long time. The experience was very informative and truly hands-on. It also broadened their horizons when it comes to food and cooking. We will definitely be back for more lessons and would highly recommend it to others.

I have no words to describe how earthy, warm, and welcoming this place is. And I can't believe it took me so long to find it! I attended a Yelp Event here earlier this year (which was A-MA-ZING) and looked for more events at EEE on their website right after leaving the event. I signed up for a microgreens workshop, which was, again, warm and welcoming (and a great bang for your buck, and clever, and healthy, and and...). Can't wait to try one of their culinary experiences.

A cinque stelle! Some Yelp friends booked this for a make your own pasta night, and I had no idea what I was in for. I think this night was run from the former chef from K in College Park and it was an experience I'd definitely go back for. It was BYO Wine so I brought some. I wasn't sure how much to bring, and others brought wine too, but they did open every bottle I brought, which made it tricky to bring home. Basically, if you're going with a group, coordinate appropriately. And bring wine stoppers as the corks and lids disappear. Better yet, just bring a box of wine!!! :) They had all of the ingredients ready for the pesto which we "made". Basically, since everything was there, we tossed them into a food processor and that was the extend of it. But it's amazing what basil, garlic, almonds, cheese and Roma tomatoes make! Don't forget the olive oil. Also, a few people were allergic to nuts, so they were able to accommodate... by keeping them away from me! They showed us how to make the pasta and we made some pasta. 3 parts semolina flour (imported of course) to 1 part water. We mixed and kneaded and then wrapped and rested. After the pasta rested, we rolled them into little worms like an adult play-doh party with wine. We made a LOT of pasta. After making pasta, we went outside to peruse the grounds while the staff transformed the bench areas to a dining experience with plates, cloth napkins and cutlery for all. There was so much food besides the pasta. There was a charcuterie tray with meats and cheeses. There were 3 different salads: the burrata, an arugula, and an amazing panzanella salad. If bread in the salad wasn't enough, there was bread at the table too. They cooked the pasta and tossed in the pesto and brought it out family style like everything else. It was so friggin' good! It's kinda neat to make something like that and being able to eat it fresh! It was easy enough where you could do it at home too. Just when you thought you couldn't fit anything else inside you, they brought desserts. It was a cornucopia of smaller servings of sweets which were all good as well. They had this lemon curd imported from Sicily and even though it was a small sample, it was an amazing bite, especially with the strawberries. I would totally recommend this as well as attend again. Great experience with a great staff. Just be mindful of the amount of wine you bring. The "Just in case" bottle may be opened and may not get touched.

My daughter went on a field trip to EEE and I feel compelled to write a review as a parent and on her behalf. On this trip, she was given a tour of the gardens and taught about the plants that they grow and how they will use them in their cooking. She was on a trip with mixed ages (elementary through middle school aged) and the kids were split into groups that would best suit their age and abilities. She was put in a group making pasta. She has not stopped talking about this trip and gained so much confidence in her ability to cook just from this one experience. We have just purchased the ingredients to make our own gnocchi (hopefully we will have a garden in the future for us to grow some of our own ingredients). I cannot express my appreciation enough for what this organization is doing to help our community. Showing children where food comes from and how to prepare it has lasting impacts on our environment and our health. I would love if all children could get an opportunity to experience what she did! As for the food? My daughter would give it 5 stars. She loved making pasta and pesto from scratch. She was also very excited to try some of the edible flowers in the accompanying salad. I recently learned that adults can also attend and I will be looking into visiting myself!

Lovely garden and well equipped kitchen. Great venue for private cooking events. Parking could be an issue, but our group managed ok.

So happy to finally share this incredible experience with you all at the @edibleedexp Titled "La Tavola" Pop up dinner hosted by Chef Kevin Fonzo When I tell you this quite possibly became my absolute favorite best kept secret/ hidden gem in Orlando, it's because it has! Tucked away in College Park is the Emeril Legasse foundation kitchen house. Here the focus is culinary education and inspiration. The on ground gardens are picked daily for their fresh ingredients that they'll use for these classes that they host regularly. However on occasion Chef Kevin fonzo will host these privately seated dinners for up to 16 people. Here this dinner experience will literally transport you to what felt like a quick visit to Italy. Everything is served family style and there is a plethora of food available, I mean I left absolutely stuffed following this dinner. Keep in mind it is also BYOW (or beer) I was in awe of this evening. Everything left me just absolutely taken aback. It was a five course dinner that felt like so much more! The cost is $95 but a portion of the proceeds go back into the school and honestly for the cost the overall experience spoke for itself, it was more then WORTH IT. These aren't hosted regularly so when the chef has a pop up dinner I HIGHLY recommend joining the list !

I've only had the opportunity to attend a couple of events here, but am very impressed with this organization and the activities they organize, all centered around educating the community about the way our food is grown and prepared! They have a beautiful on-site garden where much of the food used for their events is grown. The most recent event I attended was with guest chef Alexia Gawlak of the local Swine & Sons, and featured creative twists on elevated Southern BBQ classics. The food was fresh and delicious, but it was really the interactions with the local chefs and staff of Edible Education that made this a night to remember!

    Hola!
    Crystal R.

Edible Education is a phenomenal organization that supports the Culinary Arts and specializes in Gardening and Quality Food and ingredients. I have been to several events at Edible Education. I am truly blown away each time at the quality of events, and the passion that goes behind the scenes. I would highly recommend checking out their website. The events are hosted by top notch quality chefs, so please keep in mind the tickets go quick. Yes I will consistently support Edible Education, and highly encourage you to do the same.

I fully recommend booking through AirBnb, because you'll get the most bang for your buck that way. My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary because it sounded like we'd get something more than the average cooking class, and boy was I right. Rashaad was one of the most personable guys I have ever met. He was easy to talk to and seemed genuinely interested in our lives. Through pure happenstance, we were the only two people there that night, so we got a great, up-close-and-personal cooking lesson that I haven't ever heard of before. He taught us about the right way to cut things and how to balance spices not just in each component of the dish, but how to play the components off each other. There was a portion were we watched him do his thing and got to taste it. Then, it was our turn. He set us free to play with the cuts, the amounts of what we wanted, the spice blending. It was a ton of fun. I will be back.

While Chef Mark was a pleasant and personable individual, this was absolutely not a cooking class…read more-- it was a demonstration at best. The "class" was held in the middle of a busy pub where music was playing, customers were talking and laughing, and people were actively playing darts and pool. There was no microphone, so we could barely hear the instructor. Calling this a class under those conditions is completely misleading. We were expected to roll dough on small high-top pub tables, which was impractical and uncomfortable. Due to the setup, we couldn't even clearly see the sauce being made. There was no structured, hands-on instruction -- just trying to catch bits and pieces of what was happening in a loud bar environment. To make matters worse, the finished pasta was served in a small Styrofoam bowl with a plastic fork -- not even a napkin provided. The dish itself was bland and underwhelming. This experience was given as a gift, which makes it even more embarrassing. It felt disorganized, misleading and like a complete waste of money. A cooking class should be interactive, educational and conducted in an environment where participants can actually hear and learn -- not in the middle of a noisy pub during business hours. Extremely disappointing. Not at all what we expected. Update: Received no direct message

An egg or two. Some oil. (was supposed to be salt too, but the instructor forgot that) Instructions:   Make a well in the flour and mix in the egg and oil as needed.   Flatten it out and make whatever shape you want.    Whoops:  just revealed all the secrets and techniques of the class.   Of the dozen or so people there, not sure anyone made anything remotely edible.   Half the people didn't even attempt to boil their lumps of flattened flour.    But if they did, there was some jarred sauce and kraft shredded cheese to have with it.   (Ad mentioned making a sauce. I didn't even get to open the jar!) I really just don't even know what to make of this "class."    I put class in quotes as it was held in a bar with no cooking utensils, no recipe, no real instruction. I guess think of it as a spam phone call.  Sure, when you get that call you can buy an extended warranty, but would you?   There are some good cooking classes available in Orlando.   This is not one of them.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU APPLY TO THE LPN PROGRAM…read more I am making this post because I don't want anyone else having to go into this Without knowing exactly what this program and school are like. 1. If you are expecting to pay for someone to actually teach you, this is not the place for you. The teachers here literally do not want to teach, probably because they have no idea how to. Only one of the actually cared, and when she lectured, we actually learned and had class discussions about the topics at hand. The rest would either A) split up part of a chapter and have the class make posters all day and then present to the class, B)split up a chapter (med surg chapters, so think disorders, nursing interventions, and meds, pretty important stuff that I don't believe students who have no prior knowledge or experience should be teaching other students in the same class, isn't that why the instructors are there for?) C) get the senior class to teach it to the class behind them. There were unfortunately very few times that we got a lecture. 2. The head teacher is a bully, and she likes to play favorites. Lord help you if you get on her bad side. Singles out students, makes fun of them, talks about them to OTHER STUDENTS behind their backs. Certain rules apply to certain students but not others because she likes them. If you end up enrolling, do not trust her. She likes to power trip. A lot. If she doesn't get her way, she will play dirty till she does, and all the other teachers, including people above her seem scared of her for some reason. 3. Grades are messed with. Again, if you do or say anything that upsets a certain someone, grades mysteriously suffer. Doesn't help that you cannot see your test grades unless you fail it. So you never really ever know what you got wrong. And this isn't just coming from student experience. People in the office warned us about her and the grades. 4. They are just as bad at teaching skills as they are lecturing. Complete disorganization. No demonstrations. We were told to read the book and figure it out. If we asked them a question, they would yell at us to look in the book. It was all in the book. The book was our teacher. Are you doing it wrong? Who knows? We can't ask the book questions, can we? Some students asked if they could please demonstrate for the class first and then have us practice, they would say no. "That's not the way it works in the real world" or "no one is going to show you how to do this in the hospital, if you don't know, you have to go and figure it out". Yeeeaaa... pretty sure patients and their families don't want you to "figure it out" at the hospital, but ok. 5. Speaking of skills, let's talk about clinicals. So, you learned all these skills in class, and clinical is the time to get your hands dirty and reinforce the skills you learned, right? Nope! Can't give shots, can't pass med, can't take vitals, can't do anything, except practice CNA skills. We saw other nursing students from other schools get assigned to a nurse and do everything with the RN, but not us. We were not allowed to. 6. The school administration is a joke. They knew about the bullying, they knew about the retaliation, they knew absolutely everything that was going on upstairs, but they didn't care. Kept telling us that they were working on fixing the situation, nothing ever happened. They don't care. I have never in my life seen more incompetent people working in a school than this one. 7. Although the school promotes itself as a "college", expect to be treated like a middle schooler. While I do understand that there are dual enrollment students at the school (high schoolers), that is no reason to treat grown adult student like children. You will be talked down to. A LOT. Literally no respect whatsoever. Sometimes you even forget that you are an adult in this place. Valencia and Seminole also have dual enrollment, and everyone is treated in a professional manner, regardless of your age, so that is no excuse. 8. Disorganization rules this school. In the class, downstairs, everywhere. Tests are announced last minute, or you are given literally days to read and learn a whole med surg chapter (50-90+ pages each). 9. Let's talk pharmacology. Very important in nursing. We never ever ever EVER had a single pharmacology lecture. AT ALL! Never! All we got were packets. That's it. So that pharm class on your class schedule, forget about it. Doesn't exist. The meds we did learn, we learned in the med surg chapters. That was the extent of our exposure to pharm. I wanted to write this so other people know exactly what they are getting into, because I wish I had known, so I could have made an informed decision ( run for the hills!). There was so very little information available, and had I known about the toxic environment that I would be getting myself into, I would have never ever gone to this "college".
